I can second this rifle. A friend of mine uses one regularly and it's quite the workhorse. Just make sure you downgrade it as his was shooting in the 400fps region when he first got it.

Two choices. ICS M4 Starter Pack - £150 http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/ics-m4a1-short-stock-clear-starter-pack-aeg-airsoft-gun-set G&G Combat Machine - £117.95 (Rifle only) http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318_403_494&products_id=5645 Both very reliable rifles out of the box. With the G&G you'll need to get it two toned (free from Zero One) whereas the clear bodied ICS doesn't. The ICS starter pack is a pretty good deal as it gives you the gun, two mags, battery, charger and face protection in one go. You can also get the combat machine in starter packs but I haven't found a link to it.

CYMA cm701B or cm702A snipers which one? Plz help
Happy replied to Jackofskills's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
No. You can buy a gun from TWG but without a valid defence Customs would seize it and destroy it when it enters the country. Do your three games, get your UKARA and then buy the gun. -
Jack Pyke rifle sling in "English Woodland" £7.90 (eBay) Silencer adapter for Well MB02 £12.99 (ASPUK) Sling is to replace the cheap viper one I use on my sniper rifle at the moment. Adapter is to add a silencer to said rifle to make it even quieter - next purchase will be a sorbo pad of some description.

Don't let other peoples opinion of two tone stop you having one. I used a two tone shotgun for a long time even after I started buying the "cooler" black guns - I only got rid of it when it broke (I fell down a staircase onto it). Like others have said: it's only the people with their heads up their collective backsides who will say it with any real malice. Most airsofters (I've met so far) would comment on it jokingly but not let it bother them too much as everyone has to start somewhere - especially since you're too young to legally buy your own nice black gun unless one of your parents gets a UKARA and let's you borrow it for games. Just make sure whatever you get is of a decent quality. At the end of the day it will shoot just the same as a black/realistic looking gun. Just don't expect to go to any serious milsim games with it.

Sposn Harness with four Val mag pouches for the awesome price of £55. ...so much for not buying any more gear this month haha

Pay day came! So I rewarded myself with the following: Czechoslovakian M63 Parade Uniform set - £9.99 (sFrankish - eBay) Czech M60 water bottle with plastic lid - £10.50 (Epic Militaria - eBay) Czech vz57 bayonet and sheath - £24.99 (Surplus And Outdoors) Czech gas mask bag - £4.99 (Surplus And Outdoors) Got tired of trawling the internet for m60 needle pattern trousers that will actually fit me. The parade ground ones are a little big around the waist but a belt will easily sort that out. Now all I need to do is find a Czech shovel for a reasonable price (that is actually in stock) and my 1960s CSLA loadout will be complete! Granted it will be short an actual vz58 rifle but I refuse to pay the price Ares are demanding for their one - plus they haven't released one with a wooden body yet and I've always been a sucker for wooden accessories on rifles. My vz61 and AK47 will have to do for now... Regardless, expect pictures as soon as it all arrives!

When I spray paint my rifles I completely disassemble them and only paint the parts I want to. A lot more time consuming but I'm always paranoid some paint will get in and ruin the gun - had it happen with a g36k I got in a trade which the previous owner had spray painted. It ruined the motor and had clogged up the hop up - soon got my money back for it. Anyway, point I was trying to make was that is what I'd do with your rifle if you want to keep the wood effect as it looks like it will be a bit fiddly applying masking tape to that.

You just need the yellow gloves now Muzza

The hoops are brilliant for holding disposable pyro providing you make sure they're tight enough for the style you use. Here's the belt I have: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/360557517798?nav=SEARCH With this I run a small dump pouch, rubber knife, 20 shells or so and my CZ75 in a fobus holster. The spare mag for my pistol lives in the dump pouch with my TRMR when I run it. This is minimalist loadout for running a shotgun - no fancy plate carriers, hydration packs, etc. Speed and aggression are key to using a shotgun since you're vastly outgunned most of the time unless your opponent is running a spring weapon as well. I'm tempted to update my plate carrier with more shotgun shell holders for woodland games where the extra protection from sniper shots/full auto is appreciated

I only track them if I'm on a roll (which is rare). Highest I reached was 9 at The Gaol (six of which were knife kills, the other three shotgun kills). I somehow on my own managed to flank a good portion of the other team who must have mistook me for being on their side. But usually I don't keep it in mind - too busy having fun shooting and being shot back.
-
Or just buy a shotgun belt for around £10-£15. I run one for my shotgun (both CQB and woodland). Since it holds 24 shells I'm never out of the fight and rarely have to go back to the respawn to bomb up - even between games. As the loadout is very lightweight I retain my mobility and can sprint around the site to get the drop on the other team. A lot of fun to play. For a real challenge ditch the sidearm and run purely the trishot. Your arms will hate you for it but it forces you to count shots and judge when to reload tactically more than you would with any other weapon. I've done this a few times and really enjoyed it.

I go through no more than 300-400 rounds a day because I rarely use full auto. Helps me in the long run since a 1000 round bottle will easily last me two to three games. If I'm sniping the number of rounds used is even lower than that. Like others have said, that's a pretty ridiculous number of rounds used in a day. You really need to work on sorting your gun/aim out.

Another confession! I shot two people in the face with my sniper rifle (clocking in at 450fps) this Sunday. Both were only wearing shooting glasses. In my defence their heads were the only thing I could see and they were well dug in - they'd killed at least seven of my team mates before I took them out. Both congratulated me on my shots but I still feel a little bad about it.

Here's my current set of patches: Edit: Thanks for the "Caution: Sniper" patch CK. Arrived this morning - very happy with it

Did you tell him to instead buy a bottle of BBs to throw at people instead? Not the bottle mind, the BBs haha But seriously, you've just set the benchmark for all other confessions in this thread. Nothing can be worse than that haha
-
Is it an "airsoft sin" to deliberately throw in dud grenades and follow them straight through the door to shoot the enemy trying to get away? Because I am completely guilty if it is haha
-
Would have personally put a T1 style sight or an acog on it, but actually looks pretty cool as it is

"Before custom and shipping"? So you still have more to pay? Damn mate!

"Is someone running propane? Feckin' stinks in here!" Is that the reason for the forum name?

I've watched "Tears of the Sun" too many times growing up and last night I had it pointed out to me by my friend (whilst we were watching it at her house) that I had most of the gear seen in the movie but not the combat fatigues. She was surprised I wasn't intentionally tying to emulate that look - it was just stuff I'd picked up over the years haha. Now the ideas stuck in my head so I have to go for it. This is a big deal since I'm not usually a fan of Western kit - 90% of my stuff is Russian/Eastern European. Anyway, what sort of style you going to run yours as? The era from the movie or something more modern?

Twice I've caved in and bought an M4 - not proud of that. Thankfully I have usually come to my senses and have sold them not long afterwards. I've also shot out someone's helmet camera lense by accident. Was in a woodland game and I was running my sniper rifle. I happened to see this little red light off amongst the trees so I carefully aimed two feet below it so I wouldn't hit the camera... or so I thought. My rifle had been shooting fine/straight all day so I don't know how this happened, but when I pulled the trigger I watched as my shot drifted ever so slowly upwards and then there was a very expensive sounding "crack" noise. Apparently the camera had only been used twice before I shot it out - it's owner wasn't at all happy so tried to get me banned from the site when I pointed out I wouldn't pay to replace it and was even more annoyed when everyone listening in agreed with me. Lesson learned: don't buy cheap cameras or at least buy a protective cover for it when airsofting. Still niggles at me to this day though. There's also the time I went around shooting people with my ASG MK23 with stock silencer on below the minimum engagement distance for a weapon firing at DMR levels. I honestly didn't know the stock silencer boosted the stock FPS of 300 to around 430 instead. Now I know better but still feel sorry for all the players I shot on that day with it.

Good choice on the AUG high cycle - had one myself and I really regret selling it. Cracking trigger response and brilliant rate of fire. Half tempted to sell most of my guns to get another one. Anyway, just purchased a surplus US Army Enhanced Load Bearing Vest and a set of surplus US Woodland combat trousers to start off my next loadout project. Going for a marine scout sniper loadout circa the late 1980s - 1990s era. Got most of the other gear for this, just needed an era accurate chest rig/vest and trousers. Already have the weapons sorted (mk23 and my vsr) and might end up going to the dark side and buying a cheap m4... Or more likely not haha. Hate the weapon platform, give me an AK any day.

Even better: the three sales you pointed out are from the same forum member
