  1. Excellent point by Duck. You see this all the time, even with the new kids on the block like Krytac, just spending an extra $20 on each production AEG and could mean massive difference.
  2. Hi Tony Vest looks OK but I'm not a Vest guy myself...No real need to spend massive amount of time and money on a load-out - just get out there and play :-)

Hi buddy, that is great news. Haha about the FPS, compression is king in this game :-) Regards Pete
  5. I think in this case I would just get a second AEG with it build in. Or maybe wait a while and see what the new DAS recoil AEG's are like. I spoke to the manufacturers this week and should be getting more info and pricing soon - hopefully a sample.

Hi Phil thanks for the order buddy. I thought I had one spare somewhere but alas. I could put one in the new ZCI order but it could be 3 weeks before it gets here, maybe even longer as it's Chinese new year at the end of the month. I've asked the ZC guy for an updated shipping date - will let you know :-) Regards Pete

Hey Phil, thanks for the great writeup. The ZC restock order is being processed and I'm aiming to stock all main SHS parts soon after. Hopefully the new business link with JG will mean lots more parts arriving over the coming weeks. Always happy to chat to new customers and offer any discounts where I can :-) Regards Pete
  8. Always nice to see how a build turns out - remember to post back some pics when you're done :-)
  9. I do like the plastic Magpul front-end, still got mine on my G&P MOE however these days I switch out everything to free-float rails as it allows you to ditch the barrel nut and triangle front site. The "Magpul" is just the clone version which is why it's cheap, nothing wrong with it though. If your budget allows take a look. I have some Keymod 7" rails that I used for testing lying around somewhere. As duck said maybe post a decent pic of your AEG up.
  10. This has been in development/testing for a while now and they have stated that the price will be around $600 USD. Interested to see how many of you would stump up the readies for this?
  11. All my Keymod gear comes from 2 Chinese suppliers. When Keymod rails first hit the Airsoft scene I couldn't find the separate rails anywhere, now I have a new supplier who it seems manufactures rails for several leading Airsoft brands along with supplying real steel, had to really push him for days just to fulfill my relatively small order.
  12. I sell a set of 3 Keymod metal rails for £13 http://www.ak2m4.co.uk/external-parts/ris-ras-rail/keymod-8-Slot-rail-section3 I'm out of stock on the website but I'm sure I can find a spare set for the OP. Hopefully I have another 200 of these arriving in the new year.

Spring housed in the bolt carrier group but where is the piston?

Anyone know much about this new design? On the surface looks pretty sweet.
  15. Thanks for the review. I recently chatted to the guy who runs APS, they have some interesting stuff coming out in 2016 and from recent reviews have certainly overcome some of their initial quality problems. One thing missing from the review is price. Thank god for Google translate :-)
  16. Hi D11nosaurus Your english is fine buddy, you should hear my Flemish :-) So your not interested in anything M4 then? How about a Galaxy MP5K - great little cheap AEG.
  17. Demolition Ranch Forgotten Weapons Propoganda Cast for when I can't sleep :-)
  18. Been around for a few years, supposed to represent it's members legally etc, push for reform I think. Facebook site has recent news. They are asking to be funded by membership fees it seems which is always going to be a stumbling block for any alternative system. Personally I would want to see any future system controlled by an independent body, not for profit, run by players / sites. Free membership. Not quite sure how feasible this would be (that's just my own view)...
  19. Sounds about right, any further then you move into lob shot territory and then may as well be playing a game of Worms :-)
  20. Ranges vary, sure someone will have some proper stats to give you. You're still limited to in-game FPS of 350 for AEG's and 500 for bolt snipers. There's been some some small developments in hop design over the years and you can now buy excellent quality steel tight bore barrels for peanuts.
  21. That's the one. Nice alternative solution on the face of it, I like the fact that it's player driven but may be difficult to gain real traction due to the £6.99 a year fee for players. Also missing a few of the "other" retailers due to their vested interest in the UKARA. Maybe a tiered pricing model would be better, basic membership free.
  22. Sorry to drag this up but wasn't there a push last year by another group similar to UKARA but player focused who were developing a system whereby player details / number of skirmishes could be registered by different sites, held on a central database - can't remember their name now.
  23. Jon who runs Darkwater airsoft is a top bloke, check out his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/DarkwaterairsoftHythe/
  24. As duck says use it and enjoy it for now. When you feel like dipping your toe get yourself some second-hand parts and build yourself a custom "backup" M4 that you can tweak to your hearts content.
