  1. The Madbull one works quite well on my GBBr AKS74U, the end adjusts by loosening to increase the sound (hence the spring clip which locks it in place) but its not like it makes it HUGELY louder. Not tried on an AEG though.
  2. The Old KWA/KSC Glocks with plastic slides had moulded in markings but not in white (at least mine hasn't) and they do look and feel like the TM version, though without any TM markings obviously. Plastic outer barrel plus insane ROF. Firesupport best bet for spares, I had a new hop rubber from them. Box for mine is printed with KWA but has gold KSC stickers too. . .
  3. How about a pistol & shotgun game on the old fashioned American rollercoasters where 2 cars each holding 4 people run alongside and overtaking each other along parallel tracks? Could be good. . . .
  4. Cruise Liner or cross channel ferry would be good. Perfect candidate with fully intact interior, restaurant etc a mile from my work too! :-) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/TSS_Duke_of_Lancaster_(1956) May be do-able one day?
  5. A marshall/player shouting "push forward" will generally see you getting hosed if you take it at face value! :-(
  6. And use of a Minigun of course. . . :-)
  7. I have a G&G mount on my Marui M14, the shop I bought it from said it wouldn't be a straight fit but could be made to fit, basically its the relationship between the mounting hole on the side of the mount and the dovetail at the rear which varies slightly between makes. Had to file the dovetail on the mount to get a good fit and alignment. I find sticking a scope on a real wood M14 makes for a heavy gun though!
  8. They will ask you to fire a few bb's through the chrono, which they will probably give you (or a M4 mag pre loaded if your gun is compatible). If they let you use your own bbs they will expect you to be honest about what weight they are. They will probably take an average figure over 5 to 10 shots. Takes but a minute.
  9. From what you say it could be the air nozzle to hop rubber relationship is a tad too tight, so yes it seals well but with each shot its hitting the hop rubber more than it should. This could result in the hop rubber moving/compressing by a small amount each shot which may explain the shot to shot variations in accuracy and also the hop rubber damage you have seen. I'm surprised it has a stainless steel barrel as stock but I'm not familiar with G&G AEGs to be honest. As suggested above try a different inner barrel, it could be its a tad too long at the hop end which would cause the problem mentioned above. Failing that I suspect the nozzle is slightly too long and may need a different V3 nozzle. (I seem to remember Sitting Duck did a chart comparing nozzle lengths!)
  10. No but fairly recent, guessing about 3 or 4 issues back, they were supposedly doing a review and an article on upgrading it but I missed it. Might be worth checking the AI website or Facebook page
  11. The AY Spectre has been around a few months now, the FPS is quoted only around 260-280fps from the "AY V3 Custom gearbox". That and the fact it has no folding stock option puts me off at the moment, also the fire selector functions as the safety, with the de-cocking lever on the opposite side being the semi/full auto selector which may take some getting used too. Takes a 7.4v LiPo or 8.4v NiMh battery in the foregrip (mini Tamiya plug), and made of Polymer rather than ABS allegedly. Good link with more pics here: http://airsoft.tiger111hk.com/p27337/1/product_info.html Airsoft International carried a review a couple of months back apparently but I missed it unfortunately.
  12. Airsoft World sold 2 tone green versions a few years back, they christened it " bogey on a stick"!
  13. Try Firesupport: http://www.fire-support.co.uk/category/pistol-slides-and-frames/ Although most aftermarket slides/frames are designed for TM guns so you'd need to check fitment etc, but these guys are very knowledgeable, if not the cheapest.
  14. Just a heads up on Parcelfarce, their 48hr tracked & signed for service has gone up stupidly above 2kg. Last time I used it it cost about £6, posted the other day and it was over £12, even the guy in the Post Office agreed its ludicrous. Keep it just under 2kg and its under £4. Not impressed.
  15. Nice job Dannn, interested to know how it performs.
  16. contact your bank / card company you paid through paypal with as said above is your best bet. Second hand private sales aren't covered by the same rules as buying new from a retailer though when it comes to consumer rights.
  17. Welcome, pretty sure there are a few guys on here from your neck of the woods. :-)
  18. There are usually a few 2 tones at my local site, no one seems to mind, though by lunch, often the awful JBBG 200fps cheapos are scattered round the safe zone and regs spare guns and any spare rentals get dished out! :-)
  19. Tokyo Marui are the best regarded out of the box pistols for skirmishing, you won't go far wrong with any of them as long as you don't mind them being all plastic. They shoot extremely well and cycle quickly, plus work better in winter due to the plastic slide. If you must have a metal slide then a WE Glock is a good alternative. See if you can try different types at your local site to find what suits you.
  20. This. Upgrading and spending a fortune to make a target / practical pistol is one thing but if its for skirmishing I can't see a lot of point. That said I have fitted a 6.03 Madbull barrel to my Marui 1911 (custom bodged from a length of AEG barrel left over from another project), I won't say its better than the stock original but its certainly no worse. Not sure about head shots at 50m but it will reach 40m no problem.
  21. Keep it in the original packaging if possible which will show its an airsoft specific slide as opposed to maybe appearing to be a firearm part.
  22. Some places advise they will take re-enactors membership as entitlement to purchase, off the top of my head Actionhobbies and Soldier of Fortune will, so long as you can prove entitlement (AFRA registration etc).
  23. It might be worth dropping Paypal a line as guest transactions through them to a retailer ought to be covered by their buyer protection, hopefully you should have a record of the transaction ID. Never heard of Mark 1 before but the fact they haven't emailed you at all is worrying.
  24. Just had this through if anyone wants one! Checked their website, full list price is $154.39 so would be around $108 plus post. Use coupon code below at checkout. I have no link with this company by the way, just sharing the email I had. http://airsoft.tiger111hk.com/ ARMY R85A1 30%off Coupon for Britain only ! Coupon Code: UK-R85-30-off-f6b96From now to 30-Jun-2015 .
  25. Had a UTG L96 about 8 years ago, shot well enough and not far off 500fps, its just the usual chinese clone available under various identities. UTG do a fair range of accessories like scopes, rail covers etc which can be bought from Soldier of Fortune among others.
