I play Warthunder, got most British and American planes, just most of the jets missing and currently working on German and Russian tanks

The stock will be the hard part. You want an MP5 stock on an M4. This would mean modding the receiver and an Mp5 stock rather drastically. This is another option: http://www.commandairsoft.com/ICS-MA-93-Airsoft-CXP-Retractable-Stock-AEG-p/ma-93.htm Without seeing one in the flesh, I don't know if you can put the battery in it. The supressor should be relatively simple, you will need a shorter outer barrel and a suppressor the right size.

If it's a WW2 game, I will be knackered from the game, hungover from the post game social and tired from not sleeping well in my tent, which you can guarantee I pitched on top of some hidden rock. I then have to get home by train carrying everything before dumping everything in a pile and falling into bed. By comparison, a normal skirmish is easy. The last one I did, I had a 15 mile cycle to get there, having gotten up at 5am. I was carrying a Lee Enfield and a sten (2 rather heavy guns). Did a day's skirmish in blistering heat, then cycled to the nearest train station (about 5 miles). Everyone else was complaining they were knackered from the skirmish! I don't really worry about what I could have done better, for me its about having fun. I just find that I'm in a good mood for a few days after a game. My standard gear: Pattern 37 webbing, which I wear. Lee Enfield in a canvas Valise bag Sten with stock removed fits in a large P37 pack Ammo, speedloaders and sten mags fit in P37 webbing pouches (possibly chocolate as well). 2 pairs of goggles, gas, 3 batteries for the Sten (it burns through batteries) in small P37 pack (inside Large pack for a skirmish or worn with a shoulder strap if taking camping gear) Camping gear for WW2 games: Foam Mat, sleeping bag and Goretex bivvi bag all rolled up together ( I used to take a tent but this saves space and weight). Mini Trangia + meths Coffee, milk and sugar Enamel mug Spare socks (I can handle 2-3 days in the same clothes but clean socks are a must) Tins of spam and oatcakes for lunch break Bacon and bread for breakfast BEER! (last game I carried a small keg to the game, I was popular) Hurricane lamp + Parafin I have to be able to carry all this, to and from stations or whilst riding a bike. It does however give an idea of what it would be like for an actual soldier in WW2 when on the move. During the game, I will carry 1 gun, sten mags if I'm using the sten, speedloaders pyros and possibly chocolate in my webbing; spare goggles, gas and ammo in small pack. If I wear a gas mask bag, ammo and speed loaders go in it for faster access.

yup 90% of the time, sites don't distinguish between a DMR and any other AEG. Consider getting a lower power spring for your current gun, so you're inside the 350fps threshold so you can engage at any distance and see how you get on. If you enjoy this then consider getting an AEG for the same role. It could be an SVD or maybe a nice M14.

A Low Cost Camouflage for your Sniper Rifle for Under £10
Russe11 replied to jeremythegenius's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Scrim netting and hessian strips=ghillie cover for rifle. Scrim netting is good enough on it's own and can then have vegetation added. Hessian is also good on it's own. I would trust hessian more than camo tapes as it breaks up the silhouette of the gun, especially if you leave bits sticking out. It's all personal preference really, hessian looks scruffy (thats how it works as camo), some people prefer their toys not to look scruffy. -
The close quarters fighting at the courthouse is very different to other sites. It also hurts a lot more as you tend to get shot from a couple of meters away. Any experience you have of woodland airsoft is rather irrelevant as the skills needed are so different. It does get a bit boring to only do the courthouse as it's rather small and the games become a bit repetitive but it's worth trying to see if you like it. You will learn quite quickly how to alter your technique and it will come in handy if you ever do a milsim and find yourself having to capture a building. It's quite a cheap option to play on weekday evenings as it's only £12.50 and on Wed it's free for women so it you have a spare gun you can take your GF along.

Mancraft SDiK conversion kits for spring rifles
Russe11 replied to Mancraft's topic in Places to Buy
Not the sort of thing I would use, but very interesting to see. I love the name Mancraft btw. -
http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/airsoft-weapons-c38/electric-rifles-c45/heckler-koch-umg-sportsline-two-tone-p3138 2 tone UMP? It may be possible to run with just a pistol at the mall. I would recommend getting an AEG though as you then have the option of trying other sites if you fancy a change.

Liquid Blanco in Khaki (it's stuff for colouring and cleaning webbing) -
Scrim scarf- Protects the neck, allows airflow keeping you cool, can be used to wipe goggles etc and if you need to hide in a bush you can drape it over your head for improved camo.

You should also try Spartan, which is up by the airport. It's a much better site. Black ops is okay but I find it a bit too paintbally with the big plastic containers etc. Black ops Portishead is not bad but everything is covered in paint as it's a smaller site shared with paintballers (messy b'stards). Also worth a look is Bristol Airsoft, its a relatively small indoor site in the old Magistrates court on Bridewell street. SimonQuigley and I are going down there on Wed (13th). The great thing about Bristol Airsoft is that it's possible to go on Tues, Wed or Thurs evenings as well as Sundays. Indoor airsoft does however involve a fair bit more pain, due to the shorter engagement distances

If you want a big length of wood: Lee Enfield L42 is cool, shoot and scoot do one, but really its just a Slimmed down Lee enfield.
-
SMLE=Length and Girth. Also it looks a bit mottled and grey, you should get that checked out at an SVD clinic
-
Rather than a powered aircraft, why not a tethered blimp? Skirmishes tend to be over a relatively small area so if you tether a blimp and control cameras on it to zoom in on the action you aren't giving away where the enemy are by hovering over them.
-
You can be gifted a 2 tone gun. Removing the paint is a grey area. It is manufacturing a RIF which requires a defence of being able to prove it is for the purposes of skirmishing but no age limit is mentioned in this regard. Technically then, you could do it.

I almost bid on that Edgar Bros. scope. I ordered a 3-9x32 scope from taiwangun in the end.

erm, how do you tell which part of the bb is the side?

3-9x32 scope Low Scope rings (scope comes with high rings) 4000 rounds of .25 bb's Killflash Grenade shaped gas charger (mainly to get free shipping but may be handy) -
You mean Guy Fawkes? V for Vendetta used a Guy Fawkes mask as a symbol of revolution.

A bit of brass coloured paint should make most scopes look a bit older. The Strike scope is looking like a good bet as it's small and magnification from 2-6X seems to cover everything that will ever be needed in airsoft. Maybe paint all the knurled areas a brassy colour and then dry brush some weathering.

Yes, it seems you crashed the NHS site I had to google it. Several sites came up. http://www.menieres.org.uk/ http://www.patient.co.uk/health/menieres-disease-leaflet Neither of these seem to agree with the idea that you should give up airsoft. Exercise is considered beneficial and social isolation is considered a bad thing. I would get a 2nd opinion. You may need to inform marshalls of the problem and have someone to drive you to games.
