  1. Wonder if he'll keep his FB page open for advice for snipers? It has always been a good resource for information. I've always looked at http://www.airsoftpro.cz/ for sniper parts as that's where he seems to get his parts from.
  2. Not sure how that severely limits upgrade potential as I ran an MP5K with a DSG but apart from that your right about the FPS, you need a hefty spring to get the fps up. Mine was at 220 fps at stock. Maybe consider getting the TM MP5K High Cycle.
  3. Have you considered changing the motor? I ran a DSG 18:1 with a Lonex A2 and was getting 40+ RPS. on an 11.1. Another personal suggestion would be to get a bigger battery 4000+ mAh 40+C, it'll suffer from voltage sag. On anther note, 310 fps on a dsg is an M150 spring, If I ever have to deal with springs M150 or higher I get a friend to help or it just ends up like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SaZ2coQtz4
  4. What Motor are you going to be getting? Higher torque translates in to better trigger response (to a certain Point). Cheap reliable mosfets: http://firestorm.systems/shop/electronics.html http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AirFET-NB-non-braked-MOSFET-airsoft-AEG-switch-/191554913988?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2c999006c4 Go to hobbyking for LiPo batteries, great value and performance. If you you want the best trigger response you want to go for the highest mAh and C rated Lipo you can fit in your AEG.
  5. It's look pretty much the the JG, They are mediocre at best. It'll probably be running close to 400 FPS so it'll need a new spring and a new battery so that'll cost £20+, so for the price it'd be better off getting a brand new G&G CM16 of some sort.
  6. Set of 4 real bowman head set http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bowman-Headsets-Set-Of-4-/301581275511?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4637a51177 You can get them cheap but they are always heavily used and require modification to get them to work. (see link below) http://www.airsoftohio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9775
  7. When I first got hold of a baofeng UV-5R I just watched a youtube video on how to programme manually as everybody says they are hard to programme but it's actually really easy. The Z Tactical Bowman Evo III Headsets are about £20 from ebay, you'll need a PTT to go with them with which is about £16 from ebay. Here are the links to everything I would recommend from ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Z-Tactical-Bowman-Evo-III-Headset-Airsoft-Mic-Radio-Boom-3-Black-zTactical-Z029-/141442153810?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20ee9bfd52 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Z-Tactical-U94-Style-PTT-Push-To-Talk-Headset-Adapter-1-2-Pin-Radio-Airsoft-UK-/141204041535?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item20e06aaf3f http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UV-5R-BAOFENG-Dual-Band-UHF-VHF-Radio-dual-display-free-one-ear-loop-earpiece-/140960682752?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20d1e95300 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nagoya-NA701-Dual-band-antenna-for-Baofeng-UV3r-UV5r-series-radios-/321711441358?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4ae77f05ce
  8. Samurai beat me to it, but yeah the baofeng uv-5r plus radios are cheap and reliable with a 4 watt output, plus if you want even more range you can change the antenna for something like a Nagoya NA-701 or Nagoya NA-771.
  9. It depends on what you want from the motor, speed or torque. are you looking to increase your rate of fire or increase trigger response or both?
  10. How about http://www.amazon.co.uk/Female-Spade-Cable-Terminals-Connectors/dp/B00ACD9SQ2 half the price for twice as much Saying that all you need to do is google 2.8mm female spade connectors and them are 100 of the across the webz.
  11. As Samuri said try changing them both to narrow band and see how that works.
  12. I have a TM AUG that I have heavily modified many times to make it silent so I have plenty of experience. Regarding barrel length and volume issues I am running a 650mm 6.08mm barrel without a bore-up kit and it runs perfectly. Regarding making it silent, consider getting an airbrake from Lees Precision http://www.leesprecision.com/collections/aeg-internal-parts/products/cnc-machined-v2-v3-acetal-airbrake-piston-head-aoe-shims Keep the original cylinder head as you need a flat cylinder head for the Air break to be most effective. Don't use a sorbo pad with the airbrake, it will reduce effectiveness. Use the AOE shims to correct the AOE. The Airbrakes are not designed for High Speed setups so maybe consider using the stock gear first and see how it goes. I've never had an issue with the feed nipple or the trigger contacts.
  13. Where did you get the US Woodland pants from? I've been looking for some for ages but not found anywhere that has them in stock.
  14. My advise for you would be: 1) Fit the 13:1 gear, 2) Look at what mosfet you are going to get and where you can fit in the gun (but don't buy it just yet). 3) Buy the biggest LiPo you can fit in the gun. (hobbyking is a great place to get LiPo batteries if not the best) 3) Try out the LiPo in the gun to see how much over spin you get and if it doubles shoots from the over spin on semi auto, this will let you know if you can get a normal mosfet or an active braking mosfet. Doing this will save you some hassle and money.
  15. He's actually looking for "snappy trigger response", what I recommended would result in a very "snappy trigger response" +1 for www.ak2m4.co.uk delt with him before (bought some Core motors from him) great service
  16. I'd pretty much say it does, if not slightly better. but to be honest if you use propane and get good results I'd stick with it as it's a hell of a lot cheaper.
  17. So, I got a bottle of WE Nuprol 4.0 from Patrol Base on Saturday to see what it was like as I normally use Abbey Brute gas which is not so good in the cold, so far very impressed with the results. Using the Nuprol 4.0 gas I got these result as an average. The temperature was cold enough to see your breath. WE 226 = 95 m/s KWA M9 = 105 m/s using Abbey Brute I would get on average. WE 226 = 80 m/s KWA M9 = 90 m/s So in the cold the Nuprol 4.0 gas works great, massive improvement in FPS in low temperatures, it will interesting to see how it performs in summer. But at £20 a bottle it's a bit over priced for as in my opinion.
  18. Motor wise I have always gone for the Lonex A2, It will pull an M170 spring with ease, if you want something a cheaper there is the SHS High Torque or the ZCI High Torque both are good but are slower than the A2 I've found. Gear wise I would recommend SHS gears, cheap (£15 on fleebay) and reliable, the lower the ratio the better e.g. 13:1 for the gear ratio. Are you using LiPo batteries?
  19. Just got a HSGI X2-R Taco pouch to see what they are like, compared to the ITW Fastmags normally use.
  20. HSGI have the extended Pistol Taco pouches http://www.highspeedgear.com/hsgi/ex-ptaco-11EX00.html which work with MP5 mags
  21. oh and there is also Blackhawk and 5.11 tactical.
  22. There is also fastmag, you can get the clones on ebay for penuts.
  23. Using bearing with M130 and above is not recommended unless you use modify ceramic bearings (http://www.airsoftworld.net/modify-bearing-and-bushing-sets-c.html). Bushings are a lot more reliable and are actually quieter than bearing, but bearings more efficient, IRC Hunterseeker5 from ASM calculated they are up to 15% more efficient than bushings, so increasing trigger response and ROF. A few manufacturers use a combination of bushings and bearings with bearings on the bevel and spur gears and bushings on the sector.
