A car is by far the best buy anyone anywhere can ever make. Yeah, it's a little knackering getting up early to drive to a far away site, but more often than not the trek is worth it.

It's partly preference to be fair, some people aren't keen on HPA and some sites blanket ban CO2. I agree Novritsch stuff is a waste of a money though, I like his videos but he quite heftily marks up the parts he sells.

Picked up a z-tactical sordins headset and PTT. Bit of Velcro and mounted my contour to it!
 

 
Then today I finally got a decent pistol...TM USP compact with spare mag.
 

It's a lazy way of doing the job that can have adverse effects on the consistency and lifetime of the spring, but some of the time (or in an absolute pinch) it's fine. If possible just get a properly rated spring - the issue you've had is another reason I'd not clip the spring.
 
X-fire.org have the PDI springs that'll get you to where you need to be (also look in the UK too though as VAT and that handling charge can be a killer on cheaper items like this, and it may be cheaper just to get it here) - maybe buy a range that'll give you flexibility to go from 450 to 500. They're £8, but are a pretty vital component and will hold their value if you want to sell them on if they're the wrong strength.
 
Didn't Darren from ASPUK leave or something? I thought he had most of the knowledge there and essentially ran it by himself. Now they sell very overpriced parts sourced from mainland Europe, like Airsoft Pro.

Clarifications

The night visions people have are gen 1-2 and usually with zoom. Those are good if you sit in one place hiding and scan for movements. Usually that is not the case in airsoft games. Gen 1 and 1+ is basically good only if you have infra torch. If you use it, the red glow is visible and the torch's light is so bright on close objects, bushes, trees, grass that you don't see very far. If it is a zoomed scope version, then try using a normal scope in dusk to navigate around to see how much you see.
Looking into it destroys your eye's night vision so you see less when moving around without it than people without NV gear.
 
People without NV gear use flashlights, torches. One flash of it in your direction renders you blind, and when you turn it off, you don't see anything for a minute at least. If it is on your gun, you can't aim if it's turned off.

I'd have thought it was pretty obvious that a high rate of fire means you can get hit more within a given space of time. Lots of sites i've played at already make players use semi auto only in CQB areas because people can't be trusted to use their brains.
