  1. Yeah the HK417 will not take M4 mags. The G&G HK416 and the VFC version both take a variety of M4 mags(as in manufacturers) with differing results(namely they can be a bit on the wobbly side) The TM HK416 is a lovely gun, but it will only take mags designed for the the TM M4 variants, plus the TM HK416 mags which for all intents and purposes look like STANAG mags but with a different curve on them - The line of mags they take are normally referred to as SOPMOD magazines, which also includes SOPMOD PMAGs. There are also a couple of gas blowback HK416 options but I would just ignore them completely as a beginner.
  2. I think one thing that would help a lot is if shops actually bothered having a filter to only show in stock items. Loads of shops in the UK and overseas don't seem to have this facility. It's all well and good showing a list of 50 GBB pistols, but when you've got 7 in stock and may not ever restock some of them, then what exactly is the point? If people want a specific model they will almost certainly search for it, unless said website has a crap search tool which is another issue entirely. I would not be surprised at all if shops were creating work for themselves by constantly fielding queries about new stock of items that aren't in production any more. Seems a bit silly, maybe it is just me lol.
  3. I've pretty much always used 0.2g excels without issue, although i'm going to grab a box of 0.25g blasters when I get paid.
  4. Thats a nice gun, although I still prefer the MP40. If it was a FG42 I would be interested in buying one
  5. It's not clear from the description if this is the KWA or the TM version. The latter isn't meant to be released for the best part of a week, interesting it is marked as just arrived though. I'm going to be calling a couple of shops about the TM version on the 18th as that was the announced launch date for Japan.
  6. This place sells them but I don't know if they are in stock: http://www.ukmcpro.co.uk/equipment/holsters/blackhawk-cqc-serpa-holster-detail.html
  7. I bought a pair of Oakley Factory Pilot gloves from them back in January and had no issues. They worked out slightly cheaper than anywhere else I could see them at the time.
  8. The KWA HK45 is said to fit in a H&K P30 SERPA, it is what people use for the real steel version. http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Blackhawk-CQC-SERPA-Holster-HK-P30-HK45-p/60240.htm Product description supports this.
  9. Let me know how you get on with the quick mag pouches. You use PMAGs too don't you? I was wondering if they would be a bit long and prone to wobbling out.
  10. My preference would be mid caps over flash mags. They hold less by you are guaranteed that they will feed an entire mag without any intervention. I borrowed a chaps M4 with flash mags before I got my site membership sorted out. They were much better than high caps in that they would feed the majority of the mag without needing the pull the drawstring, however I have heard that at least some of them don't last - i.e. they fail after around a year of use. Also the drawstring can snag like blinds do with the cord that lets them go up and down, if that makes sense lol.
  11. With Xsite just give the shop a ring to book, if you want to hire you will need to let them know, make sure you specify Lane End too as they have another site. I believe it is £45 all in, games are typically every other sunday with the odd one here and there on a saturday instead. They also run young guns days which are for under 18s only. You should be able to find all the details on their website. Only thing I noticed is the turning leading to the site entrance is actually the next right after where it shows you on google maps, if you come from Wycombe. As far as the Penn site goes, I think it must be defunct. There are a few shops and skirmish sites on the map that were put there a long time ago and don't exist anymore.
  12. You could have a crack at doing an angled foregrip. Out of interest is the plastic quite strong on that mount you made?
  13. I ended up getting an IMI holster instead of a SERPA and it seems to do the job at a fraction of the price. Only downside is they seem to support less guns and the retention mechanism is a bit different, if that is an issue.
  14. Yeah my thoughts exactly. I'd imagine it would be pretty easy for the insurance to raise the point of why was a neoprene mask recommended when a mesh mask would offer more comprehensive lower face protection. I've seen sites ban things like sniper rifles for under 18s and certain types of gas, but in those cases it is feasible that they could put the site at risk. Neoprene is just flat out not as good as an existing, readily available and used solution. Teo just so you know this isn't a dig at you, it just seems like a strange suggestion/request from your site.
  15. I still wouldn't trust it to protect your teeth, given I've heard reports of players getting teeth broken whilst wearing a gumshield. Not to mention neoprene isn't exactly kind on your skin.
  16. Hi and Welcome to the forums, The (Xsite)Lane End site is my local and it is pretty decent. It is essentially a woodland site that runs a variety of games such as capture and hold points, take a "bomb" to a certain point and it even has a CQB Killhouse. Games last on average 30 minutes - 1 hour and the players are the usual mix of new players hiring through to long time players with all their own gear. One thing I do like is how it is a pretty laid back site and everyone I have come across there is really friendly. The site has a fully sheltered safezone, hire guns and overalls are available and food is included in the price. I was planning on going this sunday but i'm a bit hesitant due to it being Mother's day, makes me wonder if not a lot of people will be going. Can't say I have heard of the site at Penn, did you find it on the Airsoft skirmish map? It looks like that is Gunman Airsoft and the nearest site appears to be Eversley out Reading way now.
  17. Ok I remember how much Wisdom tooth fillings suck now. Wondering if getting the tooth pulled out would have been better.

  18. Also larceny is not a crime in England lol.
  19. There's a few about though, like the Mk 12.
  20. There's a load of anti fog liquids you can get, i've seen a lot of people recommend cat crap but I haven't used it myself. It definitely helps trying to avoid touching the inside surface of the goggles though, as it seems to attract moisture.
  21. :( £500 for a new set of Tyres. That was meant to be Airsoft money lol.

Are they gold plated, or do you just have really wide wheels?

Reasonably wide, I use the stock Civic Type R dimensions which is 205/45/17 - However I've gone for some decent Goodyears instead of budget ones.

LoL...that Sex slave summon...wrong just so so wrong

  23. Did anyone receive a kit in the mail from the Infiltration Airsoft game next weekend? I recall them saying something about sending out the kits in February..

  24. I'd be up for it but my kit is woefully inadequate at present. Stuff I could actually take into "the field" would be my primary, mags and my DPM clothes. Milsims don't really help themselves when the kit requirements basically boil down to figure it out yourself.
  25. The regular cars review channel on youtube cracks me up
