Wrong. Its completely fine to carry an airsoft gun in public as long as its concealed in a bag or case. People regularly use the train or tube wearing combats and carrying gun bags.It only becomes an offence if you take the gun out and start waving it around in public. You can even carry it in the box it comes in.
I really wish people wouldnt keep giving out duff info.

Anything TM. There's also the JG BAR-10 -a VSR-10- clone, 100 from TaiwanGun (Polish retailer, ordered from em twice)

The Well (Warrior) L96 / MB-01, from what I've heard, should be good in that it also doesn't need a lot of upgrades to be decent, still if you want really good sniper rifle performance you do have to spend a lot on upgrades though. Otherwise you might as well just buy an ordinary AEG.

I have an A&K M24, which, supposedly has a lot of good parts already OOTB. Not sure what they are exactly...but I think I have some info from TacMaster saved (that's a guy on here btw)
Can't say how good it is in comparison to any other bolt action rifles. Haven't actually done any sniping either as of yet I'm still waiting for a cheap scope to arrive from China. Not sure if I'll really get into it though...
Probably just going to replace the piston sear (stock trigger sear is steel) and get a PDI barrel off X-Fire. Says it's £22 but idk what shipping will be like. Anyway that's off-topic.

You can get the M24 and L96 off TG as well. If they're not in stock, try Gunfire.pl
Last places I saw with Tokyo Marui VSRs were Fire Support and Patrol Base. Try the former for the TM L96.

    Hope this helped mate.

Aside from blowing up a battery I have managed to fit a flat hop to the F88a2 and succesfully swapped the connectors on my one surviving battery
Definitely learned a few lessons this weak end Dry firing is showing how much of a difference there is in the trigger response on the A2 compared to my A1 which still has regular Mini Tamiya's atm. Looking forward to taking a trip into the garden and seeing how the flat hop performs tomorrow.

I have a pair of M-Pact gloves. Pretty much ANY of the Mechanix tactical range will maintain your dexterity but none of them are designed to protect your hands from much more than grazed knuckles from banging against walls etc. If you're after protection from hits then armoured paintball gloves are probably your best bet.

I've also used Helikon gloves which were OK but the fit isn't as good as the Mechanix ones (I have big hands but short fingers). I've tried Oakley SI gloves but just can't get on with the fit. One thing to bear in mind is that the standard SI gloves are just the old Factory Pilot "extreme sports" gloves in tactical colours so don't expect too much from them and you won't be disappointed.

PIG Alpha gloves are meant to be the dogs danglies in terms of dexterity but are a very lightweight glove.

Personally I'm holding out for the new Mechanix Breacher gloves which are due later this year.

I dont thinks that a TM Recoil TBH. Wrong body pins for a start, Standard magazine (Yes could be using an adaptor) Could be a Standard TM AEG with a metal body added.

Standard barrel length in the umps from memory is around 200-205mm so you've almost doubled the length, this as her has said could be some of this issue vs the cylinder volume, I would also suspect the massive under hop is something to do with the hop rubber, either a small rip/damage or you've mis aligned it when reinstalling it so it's not operating correctly and applying no spin

    Things to look at:

    Hop Bucking, damaged/deformed
    Ammo being used
Using a longer barrel could be the issue, something to do with the volume of air matching the barrel length.

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Hef Legend in Will adding a suppressor increase my range?
A suppressor will reduce/muffle/change the muzzle report on AEG's/GBBR's and HPA guns.

On a GBBR (in my case a GHK M4) the suppressor changes the muzzle report and reduces sound but only from a distance, most of the sound is the action of the gun.

On an AEG (G&G for me) it just changes the sharp crack into a slightly duller tone. Again most of the sound is the internal action.

On my HPA rifle (Tanaka converted to C02/HPA), from about 15" away it almost entirely eliminates the sound, similar effect on SMP's and Polarstar's. Utterly useless on my Tippmann though as it stupidly loud lol

just looks like an m249 SAW.

Hunting around online, these seem to be made by a few people, G&P and A&K.

They can apparently take most V2 gearbox parts for internals and A&K/G&P externals.

might be able to sell it to a new player if a quick 2-tone job to tidy it up and you got battery etc....
(better than a JBBG even if it might need a clean)

looks like aprox 300 barrel so it ain't too long and plastic/polymer ideal for new younger player

wish I could say more but competing with new Carbine n Raiders, but depends how quick you need to sell it
might be worth keeping as spare for you or if a m8 goes with ya
deffo keep it if possible until you know ya AUG is running sweet

Firstly it's not a licence, but a defence. It's common misinformation, seems to have been passed around by the bad retailers (i.e. 'BB guns for 'x' or 'x' BB guns etc)
But yeah you need to do three games within a year and not in under 2 months. Easiest to do all three at the same site then they know you and you can fill in the form to get it at the third one.

    1) As many as you want I guess, never seen rules against it. But every gun you are going to use must be chrono'd at start of the day, so that they are known to be shooting within appropriate velocity limits. So if you turned up with like 10 then I imagine they would say no to doing them all but I can't imagine anyone brings over 4 each.

    2) Depends on the game type, usually 'medic then dead' So if you are hit somebody may be able to run over, 'medic' you (hand on you for 10 seconds usually) and then you are back in, unless either of you were hit again during that time.
Then second time you are hit it is a walk back to the nearest 'base' which is some point(s) the marshalls have designated
Some scenarios you will only have one life per round so then you go to the safe zone

    3) Yeah most people will have bought military clothing but a lot of people who are new will turn up in normal clothes. At an outdoor site you should get overalls to wear for the day included in the hire package. Would be a good idea to buy some military gear if you get into airsoft, most people just go for UK surplus stuff (MTP or DPM) or US M81 because it is cheap and easily available.
There are brands like Helikon / Teesar / Mil-Tec / Bulle / Emerson to name just a few who also make good quality and affordable clothing.

3 / 4 ) Good footwear and eye protection is a must (if you are hiring then you will get a face mask included though)

what one ??? - my local nooby friendly TWA is in Croydon/Addington near White Bear pub....

Each game is different - usually you have xxx lives or unlimited lives on time attacking games against the clock
(defending team has 1 life - so idea if attacking you just go nutz so to speak)
Sometimes you respawn 30 paces back, other off an alive team mate's shoulder, other times in zombie games you become infected = zombie and join enemy team - it will all vary and be explained
But no - if you got shot in the morning you ain't out for the whole day

UKARA ain't a license as such - you are entered onto a database of saddo's playing with realistic looking but still toy guns
there is no license but you won't be the first or last person to refer to it as license - it is just a defense to buy nicer toy guns

Clothing - wear what you like at most places unless they are the ultra serious sites like Mil Sims
(please no vivid bright colours if possible - the stealthy players get the hump if you follow them in day glow pink)
No stark bollock naked is not advised - it will put off other players but kudos if you like to really feel and take your hits

Good boots or at very least trainer boots will help you slipping ar$e over tit - but even with all pro stuff you will still trip up now n then

Hire a gun for a few games is best advice - DO NOT BUY $HIT FROM JBBG thinking it will be ok - it won't

Unless you're running something with crazy rof you're going to be getting at the very least least 4 seconds of full auto out of most mid-caps, 1-2 seconds would be low-caps on a high rof...

Sure high caps give you the benefit of having lots of ammo in fewer magazines, they also make you sound like a pair of maracas when running and require you to fumble around spinning a little wheel every few seconds.

So yeah, it's not just about looking 'operator', some of us don't like sounding ridiculous on the move
