  1. I have large size hands so a Glock probably isn't for me really. I had a sh*tty springer G26 thing too and I've held an ASG G17 (both Gen 3 models) and found them quite comfortable though. Gen 4 design on the other hand is worse for me but maybe it was the backstrap. A Glock seemed the best choice though, and Patrol Base don't stock any M9s AFAIK (I have £20 of vouchers left, maybe I could get extra mags and stuff there though idk) Very nice pistol btw mate No mate, it was a clear one from JBBG. It had GSG trades on it IIRC. It was actually pretty good until I took the mag release out and couldn't get it back in :|
  2. I would recommend it, but it's not necessary. Just make sure everything important is well masked over like you said.
  3. Ooh didn't know anybody on here had a Nextorch WL10. I'm getting one soon Also how's the gun itself, I thought Socom Gear weren't very good? Or was that just referring to their 1911, since it's a WE rebrand after all I wouldn't be surprised. I used to have a springer M9 and really liked the feel so might get a GBB version like the WE M9A1 as my second pistol or something. Pretty much decided I'm gonna get a WE Gen 4 Glock already.
  4. So I've heard WE M&Ps aren't great? What exactly is bad about them?

That sucks :( sorry to hear you got one when it still has all those problems. Really disappointed with WE hearing that, thought they'd stepped up their game completely but their newer stuff isn't all great.

Don't be, I bought it to play with at home, not bothered about it being rubbish to skirmish with. Definitely sucks for those that will buy them for that though.

Ah I see, that's not too bad then

  5. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/EMERSON-FAST-Helmet-BJ-TYPE-economical-version-black-free-shipping/902098755.html Economy version comes without the adjustment wheel and a different strap system as you can see. I've also heard the shell is thinner and the padding isn't as good. For just another quid and a bit you can get the version with a visor (but obviously you should still wear eye pro underneath it) http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Emerson-FAST-Airsoft-Helmet-With-Protective-Goggle-PJ-Type-Helmet-Military-Helmet-BLACK-Free-shipping/1315054669.html I've noticed these sell for £40-£50 on HelmetWorld, and an extra visor alone is another £20. And here's the better version, shown in tan but also available in black / FG / A-TACS etc. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/EMERSON-tactical-helmet-Airsoft-FAST-PJ-Helmet-Tan-em5668a/1753921401.html These ones are like £60-£70 which means ordering from a Chinese store you're saving more than £30.
  6. G&G will probably be around the same price and that's with a good battery and charger
  7. I dunno about an ASG M4, no idea who the actual manufacturer is? Go with the G&G you know will be a good gun. Also yeah it's a defence not a licence.
  8. Apparently shaving cream on goggles works well as anti-fog? Anyone heard of that before?

      anything detergent based works

  9. They both work well, one thing to consider is if you go prone a lot then you can't get to stuff on your chest as well when you're laying down. So therefore a belt would be better. I find on my current belt I can only have a couple magazines on my left side, then the rest of the space is behind me and you can't get to it as quickly. Whereas with a chest rig / vest / plate carrier you could have 3-5 in a good place. A belt would probably be cheaper too if you want to go for something like a Condor Gen II one (£20 from Military1st or CadetDirect)
  10. I'm pretty sure the front sight post is removable, all you have to do is remove two or three pins.
  11. Wish I'd got a Combat Machine as my first gun, instead bought a sh*tty CYMA M4...which has next to no customisation (e.g. other RIS and handguards won't fit, no threaded barrel, my Magpul PTS stock wobbles on the buffer tube) the RIS wobbles etc. On top of that they have shite internals too. It cost about the same price as well, so I'm annoyed. I could afford to get one but I've already spent a lot and we have too many (according to my dad, so no more now for a year -except for a pistol- until I can get my own defence) As the others said, you won't regret it. Very nice guns for the money.
  12. Ah yeah forgot about them. http://www.airsoftworld.net/jg-g36c-assault-rifle-g608.html Just in your budget too By the way when you say G36 I'm assuming you mean the G36C?
  13. I really don't recommend the Black Viper G36 or WELL. I think WELL make some okay sniper rifles, but their AEGs are not good quality. The range and accuracy won't be great, and cheaper guns like that are never compatible with upgrades. For example two or three of our regular members on here bought some cheap orange AK from JustBBGuns once and found that CYMA gearboxes and things like that would not fit at all. Those "bb gun" websites also lied saying it had a metal gear box, which actually turned out to be completely plastic apart from one gear. Their customer service is usually terrible as well - just read the JBBG thread! You might want to take a look on Zero One's website, they two-tone FOR FREE and also you get a free skirmish voucher! I'd look for an Umarex one, I think they are usually about £120 and should come with a battery and charger. I don't think there are any cheaper than that which are really any good, so the Umarex is the cheapest one you could get which is not too bad. Or look in the Classifieds section to see if there are any second hand ones available?
  14. I have a feeling from the description that you're looking on one of those "bb gun" websites. I wouldn't recommend buying from them, as you can see from the JustBBGuns thread here they are pretty bad to say the least. I think other airsoft retailers such as Zero One or AirsoftWorld for example would sell the same gun for around the same price, with much better service. Z1 also gives you a free skirmish voucher AND free two-tone too I believe? Usually you'll see retailers charging £20-£25 to two-tone for you. From what I've heard, the WELL / Warrior MB-01 (L96) is a good rifle, but every sniper rifle on the market needs aftermarket upgrade parts to perform as you'd probably expect from one. Out of the box you're looking at them probably doing the same sort of range and around the same level of accuracy as your standard AEG. So you're disadvantaged against most other players. They are fun and satisfying to use, once the performance is improved. Thing is buying the new parts alone can easily cost twice / three times the price of the gun itself. Oh and needless to say orange is a terrible colour if you're trying to stay stealthy - just a thought for if you wanted to properly skirmish it. I can imagine the L96 must be around £100-£120 new here in the UK (I know overseas would be cheaper, but not possible without a defence) For the same price you could get a very capable, good quality AEG such as...yep the G&G Combat Machine. Just make sure to avoid guns that are any cheaper, or anything else for that price as a matter of fact. There's a reason we all recommend em, really nothing around that price is as good. Apart from maybe a CYMA AK? (My dad got one on sale for £120, but then again it was on sale from £190) FPS limits are usually 350 for AEGs (basically anything full auto) Then 400 for DMRs (semi auto, but with a 20M Minimum Engagement Distance) and 500 for snipers (bolt-action, 20M MED) Although some sites will be different, for example as low as 328 or up to 370 for AEGs. Hope this helps
  15. What helmet do you mean? Have a look on Ali-Express and AirsoftPeak (both Asian retailers, AirsoftPeak are great, I've ordered from them three times already, Ali-Express not as trustworthy as it's individual sellers) Emerson FAST helmets go for ~£30, and they're around £60 here in the UK. Alternatively you could always look for one second hand of course.
  16. If you have £120 to spend on a pistol, yeah definitely look at Marui. I think Airsoft Zone seems to stock a lot of them. Or alternatively something like a WE Gen 4 Glock. I'm looking at getting one from TaiwanGun (a Polish company) for £85 + an extra magazine for ~ £18. They recently increased how much you have to spend for free shipping but the gun has 17% off right now.
  17. I can't remember if the general limit for DMRs is 400 or 450 but check with your local site. I think the 20m MED applies to them as well and it has to be fixed to semi. I'm not sure exactly how you do it but you will need to do other work and upgrades to a DMR to make it any good. AFAIK an out of the box DMR is nothing special, just a normal AEG internally.
  18. I've seen an Element M600 on Ali-Express for £24/£25.
