  1. Garand Thumb for the win. If only for the comments section! Airsoft "reviews" of kit that are literally just "it's a thing that's made of stuff it comes in lots of colours" are worse than useless, same goes for unboxing videos of gifted bits. Actual informative reviews of stuff a la @TheFull9 are great, anything that has the "reviewer" in full gear fumbling about with stuff while wearing tactical gloves gets an ignore straight away. I'll also say one of the BEST channels for airsoft is Negative Airsoft https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdWFrvXg78qI4j8Brfit2XA cos Luke is ace and he swears like a navvy with Tourettes.
  2. Depends...how low is your chest? Facetious comments aside, if it works for you, it's where it needs to be. Simple.
  3. Good stuff, Gate Titans do NOT like those motors though!
  4. You can see the Viper logo on his dropleg strap. I doubt it's worth more than £100 all up.
  5. The joys of importing - last week I received a small package from Violent Little Machine Shop in the US, just a few patches value £20. I get stung for £5 VAT and the usual £8 Royal Mail buttfuck. Today I get $82 worth of helmet cover from Agilite in Israel and nothing. No VAT, no duty no nothing. Both had CN22s attached with the correct value (no "gift" or comedy low value). What the actual fuck?

I've always enjoyed the conversation with Royal Mail when you point out that you are paying more in VAT and their fees than the package cost.....

Not to Murca so much anyway, the God Emperor has put the kybosh on that - https://fortune.com/2018/10/18/universal-postal-union-trump-china-trade-war/

It's still cheaper to ship to UK destinations from Beijing than from Bath though.

  6. New helmet cover! And a fancy sticker because it's my first order! Not gonna lie I'm a bit excited about this. And yes I am well aware that I should get out more if a helmet cover gets me excited but it's a proper cover for a Team Wendy AND it's from Agilite!
  7. I'm not a huge fan of Viper generally but the cheaper stuff is likely to be lower quality materials with a lower stitch count. The question YOU need to ask is "will it be fine for what I want?". If you can't justify the cost of the higher end kit, get the cheaper stuff but go into it with your eyes open.
  8. Depends on a few things - quality of the material, how it's attached and how well the laser cuts have been finished off. If it's just a slit then you're open to the ends tearing so look for basically a thin oval (if you see what I mean). If it's been made with hypalon then the thickness will make a difference and whther it's been stitched properly between the channels of laser cuts. I have a laser cut shooters belt from OPS/UR-Tactical and it's done very well in use. https://www.ur-tactical.com/index.php/component/virtuemart/view/productdetails/virtuemart_product_id/4529/virtuemart_category_id/ you'll notice though how the laminate material is stitched around the slot for strength. I also have their laser cut plate carrier and it's equally great https://www.ur-tactical.com/index.php/component/virtuemart/view/productdetails/virtuemart_product_id/3515/virtuemart_category_id/1174
  9. Sounds like the new version has some extra marketing to make up for piss poor design!
  10. You know the colour is down to the BB not the tracer unit...right?
  11. One layer of brown paper? That's some shitty packaging!
  12. Can't you use one of these: https://www.tactical-clothing.co.uk/parts-c8/external-parts-c97/pts-us-palm-ak-battle-grip-black-aeg-p3704
  13. It's the TMC copy of the spiritus systems micro chest rig.
  14. Rocking God's plaid on Sunday at Red Alert in Newbury!
  15. No there isn't one. Tri shots have three barrels and all current tracer units are for single barrel guns.

  17. It's most of the parts to make a complete gearbox (minus the cylinder and spring that I already have) for the MK12 DMR I'm building. All E&C parts except for the gears which are SLD.
  18. How many caps would a high cap cap if a high cap could cap caps?
  19. I have admitted defeat and decided to get shot of some of my unmade kits. Thought I'd offer them here first if anyone is interested. All WW2 aircraft kits and mostly 1/48 scale Revell and Hasegawa. Let me know if you're interested and I'll put a list together
  20. Went with the Infinity 22K from PB in the end, good price in the sale!
  21. My Gate Titan seems to be having a strop over the SHS/RA High Torque motor it's running. General recommendations seem to be the ASG Ultimate motors but which one? Looking for good trigger response on standard gearing. Not fussed about super high ROF so I was looking at the Infinity 22K or 30K. What's the difference with the "Boost" 30K motors?
  22. There's a semi regular article in Airsoft International all about gear for the pie addict. I used to wear MUCH bigger kit than I do now, lost 4.5st but have started creeping back up. Well...when I say creeping I'm back about 2st up. Anyway, WAS stuff has always been big enough for the larger gent, on the whole there should be plenty of gear out there that will fit the main problem being that chinese knock offs tend to be sized for the Asian market. My AVS for example is a TMC clone and is based on the medium sized Crye one. I ought to be wearing the large one so it comes up a bit small on me (still fits but only if I don't eat too many pies at lunch) BUT it only ost about £80. Z shot make Crye licenced copies that come in the larger size but they come with a Crye licenced price tag too!
