  1. I know a lot of players use Smith Optics Boogie Regulator goggles, which can be purchased with an optional bungee kit which attaches to the swivel mounts often supplied with FAST/MICH helmets. However, I have seen reviews which suggest they are prone to fogging. Other than that, it's probably as Lozart suggests where you can shorten or mod the goggle straps to clip into the swivel mounts. On my goggles this will mean cutting the straps as there is not a way of unbuckling them. However, there is a downside of attaching goggles to helmet which is that the eyepro has to be removed if you want to take your helmet off. Whilst this shouldn't be a big problem in most skirmish/CQB games, if you play games with long game times, or games where you will be out of any safe zone for long periods, or milsim-type experiences which require you to keep eyepro in place at all times you will be wearing your helmet for looooong periods which can be very uncomfortable. And, if you ever do a overnight milsim, you may need to sleep in your helmet. Ouch.
  2. Cheers Geoffrey. I know that Waririor stuff is highly rated, but thought it would be too pricey for me so thanks for the tip. So Mil1st will be selling WAS stuff soon? I can't see the DCS on their website, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place or I need to wait. I can stretch to another tenner to ensure a bit better quality and durability.
  3. Yes...good point! I am hoping there are degrees of Chinese tat though. Open to suggestions about better quality alternatives. I do need a molle-equipped back panel and side areas due to the heavy-weight nature of my SAW-based loadout. No lightweight agility for me; I move with the pace and grace of a senile tortoise.
  4. Hi All, Does anyone have experience of the Viper Lazer Platform carrier/vest? http://www.military1st.co.uk/bvlmpg-viper-lazer-platform-green.html I've had a cheapo Chinese CIRAS-type vest which had the molle real-estate I would like, but the quality is lacking and I can't get it adjusted just right because the elastic material on the cumberbund and side fastners is poor. I've been looking at alternatives around my budget of around and the Viper seems to offer what I need and looks comfy too. Cheers in advance Matt.
  5. Has anyone imported a gun from these guys? They have the rifle I want, in a colour that isn't commonly available here, for a very good price? Are the guns genuine and what would be the risks from shipping from overseas in general? I would be UKARA registered but would someone at UK customs throw a wobbly?
  6. Thanks all for the warm welcome! I've just booked into the game on 3rd Jan at Absolute Airsoft (Reading site) so may bump into you if you are venturing out for a post-Holiday plink.
  7. Hi All, Just thought I'd quickly introduce myself as a noob here. I am 43 (so on the verge of codgerism), live in West Berkshire and I having played as a hire a couple of times, I am saving pennies to get my first gun and some better kit in a few weeks time. Hoping to play some general skirmish and possibly some milsim stuff in 2016, though the imminent arrival of a new baby might curtail my ambitions. Cheers, Matt.
