  1. Yes, there is a way. If I can find it I'll link you the place I got mine but basically the bit that surrounds the very end of the barrel unscrews (you may well need some pliers to get it out) usually on a 14mm CW thread. Then youneed a +14mm to -14mm threaded adaptor that screws in and then leaves the -14mm threaded bit sticking out for you to attach suppressors/tracers etc. One of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SD-14mm-Barrel-Adapter-for-Marui-MP5K-PDW-CW-to-CCW-14mm-to-14mm-/271669997316 also available from Redwolf, Patrolbase and many others.
  2. Aaaaanyway, all this pedantry is getting in the way of actually answering the OPs question now. Shall we call it quits?
  3. Your qualifications are only ever going to get you your first job. After that it's all about what experience you've gained.
  4. A lot of people see SMG and PDW as pretty much interchangeable though...
  5. Thing is that there's a lot of people that DO need to have the whole thing explained properly. A little learning never hurts does it? Prime example is that most of the PDWs available as airsoft replicas have already been mentioned here (MP7, MP9, P90 etc).
  6. I direct you, sir to my current status.
  7. Technically, no pdw fires pistol ammo. Except in cases like the FN5-7 where a pistol has been designed specifically to fire the same ammo as its pdw relation (in this case of course the P90). The whole point of the pdw was to make a weapon with more stopping power than an smg but smaller than an assault rifle.
  8. But several of the guns mentioned already ARE classed as PDWs...
  9. I'm going to go ahead and apologise in advance, I'm feeling particularly pedantic tonight. Don't take it personally. Any of you. :)

What is the most really annoying thing about you is the fact that very often you are right though

      :) :) :)

  10. I assume you mean a KAC PDW? Not just any old PDW? PDW being a class of weapon not a specific gun of course....
  11. Lots of people make the mistake of thinking their gun needs upgrades when actually they need to learn how to shoot.
  12. That "clicky adjuster" makes it far more comfortable. Sometimes it really is worth paying a bit extra. FMA for my money.
  13. Seems you're not the first to have this problem http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/topic/197546-magazine-release-button-in-cyma-cm030/
  14. It's a screw. Hold the selector and turn the knurled part of the screw with some pliers.
  15. In that case, without knowing the size of the spring you need I'd say the same as SD, try an old biro spring or something.
  16. At that price for a new one I wouldn't even bother trying to fix it. But that's just me.
  17. Let's start with some basics. If something electrical is getting warm it's passing a lot of current. Possibly more than it should. Your gearbox sounds pretty far from standard, personally I think it's most likely the crappy thin wiring but even if you rewire with 16awg it's still going to get warm. If anything it'll get worse because the fatter wiring will pass more current. The wires might not get as warm but the motor still will. Ultimately you're running a high torque motor with high speed gears in an enclosure with little to no ventilation. It's going to get warm it's just basic physics.
  18. I've very much found that people either love the Mall or just can't stand it. If you take the time to learn your way around it's a great place. They've recently changed the layout and opened up some more routes out of the basement so the spawn camping/funnel of doom should be less pronounced but it's ALWAYS an issue in an enclosed environment like that. Personally I love the place but I can see how it doesn't suit everyone!
  19. I'm there tonight. I have an AFUK patch front and centre on my chest rig so come say hi if you spot me (black/typhon kit with a tan chest rig - I'll have either an M14 EBR, a Tan SCAR or an MP5K on the go tonight).
