  1. They both come with the Gate Aster programmable MOSFET. So yes, they both have a decent fire control system. If you want to program them though you will need either the Gate USB-Link or the Gate Blu-Link.
  2. Absolutely, other than being drier than a nuns fanny it seems to be in pretty good nick.
  3. I was just thinking that, it's in bloody good nick for its age!
  4. Batteries - Turnigy or Vapex Speed loader - Odin M12 (cheap copies exist but are universally crap) or a Tokyo Marui one (the one that's shaped like an M4 magazine), again the cheap copies are crap. Lens Protectors - depends on what sight you get but https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/reddotengineering As far as tracers and red dots go, it entirely depends on your budget. Holy Warrior, Vortex and Vector Optics are good, WADSN, Evolution Gear, Night Evolution are all decent too. Just be aware that if you buy from a UK shop you will be paying over the odds. Tracers are a bit of a mixed bag but one or other of the Acetech ones seems to be the go to.
  5. Wow, that is OLD! The different design of tappet plate would certainly account for what you're seeing. The fix will still be a longer nozzle though as you can't get tappet plates like that any more.
  6. We have a winner! Tip of the nozzle isn't sealing with the rubber.
  7. Might be worth looking into something like this: https://www.firesupport.uk/airsoft-pro-reinforcement-m-block-for-version-2-gearbox.html to hold the hop unit steady. Usually the wings on the side of the hop unit engage in the slots in the barrel to prevent that side to side rotation. You may be able to pack that a bit?
  8. A quick release cable will be open at one end and have a tab of some sort at the other (the end you pull on). The cord has to be free to move otherwise it defeats the whole point of having it.
  9. What make is the M16A1 receiver? What barrel length do you now have and where is the vent on the cylinder?
  10. They look like they're the ends of the "cummerbund". They should connect under the molle layer on the back of the vest. Is there some shock cord or something similar with the vest? Just realised - the top pic is the inside of the back plate, your second picture is the two parts that go on the sides of the vest and the eyelets connect up (somehow) to size the vest to you. Just watched a quick review video and it says that it's a releasable carrier. You should have a tab with a piece of wire/cord attached to it. Looks like that is supposed to loop through the eyelets to hold it all together. Given that it's their "Ready To Go" rig, you'd have thought it would come preassembled.
  11. As long as you keep on top of your maintenance (not sure if the nitrogen would be better or worse for any seals in the system) then I see no reason why not. It can't be any more aggressive than the propane you'd have been using prior to converting it to HPA!
  12. If there's a leak it's going to be most likely the nozzle length.
  13. Timing does indeed mean the cycle of retracting the nozzle to allow the bb into the hop unit, then allowing it forward to seat the BB into the hop before the piston comes forward. If you're not getting a feeding issue that should be OK but if the nozzle isn't actually seating on the feed lips of the hop rubber properly you may be getting an air leak. The chamfered tip of the nozzle should seal into the end of the hop rubber (the feed lip if you will). An easy test is to reassemble the gun, turn it upside down and place a small piece of paper over the feed tube. When you fire the gun the paper should move only minimally, if it blows off then there is air escaping down the feed tube. Also - it may be the camera angle but your barrel doen't look straight in your hop unit - it may need twisting slightly to line it up.
  14. @shatis actually try holding one before you settle on an MP7. Personally I find the vertical grip angle just doesn't work for me. I have an MP9 which feels completely different (to me at least).
  15. Pending further info, it could be under volume for the barrel length but it may just be fitment with the rest of the gun.
  16. Picture of the cylinder? Where is the vent on the cylinder?
  17. King arms =/= Lancer Tactical. Just because they are both V2 boxes doesn't mean they're the same. Sounds like one sits differently to the other in the receiver. That's assuming you have the pins back in and the grip attached.
  18. You can measure the hole with a ruler to get a decent indication. They look bigger than 6mm to me but still... A quick google has revealed that the OEM is indeed Classic Army.
  19. They look like a copy of the Earmor ones. My Earmors have been fine, others have not been so lucky. At least if you buy from Socom it might be easier to get them returned under warranty if they break. What helmet are you using?
  20. In some respects...maybe. I think the big thing that worked the best for us was just pacing ourselves which potentially comes from more than half of us being older (and arguably more buggered). We did see a lot of running and gunning from both the Blue and Yellow teams in the morning which given the heat and the nature of the games may well have been their downfall in the long run. Of all the guys that held the valley bomb, I'd say half weren't directly affiliated with either team/friend group/rag tag bunch of mercenaries (delete as applicable), we were just happy to sit and defend instead of running and gunning. PTFO as they say.
  21. Yeah...it was not a good day for the other teams! I almost felt bad about it. Almost.
