Timing does indeed mean the cycle of retracting the nozzle to allow the bb into the hop unit, then allowing it forward to seat the BB into the hop before the piston comes forward. If you're not getting a feeding issue that should be OK but if the nozzle isn't actually seating on the feed lips of the hop rubber properly you may be getting an air leak. The chamfered tip of the nozzle should seal into the end of the hop rubber (the feed lip if you will). An easy test is to reassemble the gun, turn it upside down and place a small piece of paper over the feed tube. When you fire the gun the paper should move only minimally, if it blows off then there is air escaping down the feed tube. Also - it may be the camera angle but your barrel doen't look straight in your hop unit - it may need twisting slightly to line it up.

@shatis actually try holding one before you settle on an MP7. Personally I find the vertical grip angle just doesn't work for me. I have an MP9 which feels completely different (to me at least).

Pending further info, it could be under volume for the barrel length but it may just be fitment with the rest of the gun.

King arms =/= Lancer Tactical. Just because they are both V2 boxes doesn't mean they're the same. Sounds like one sits differently to the other in the receiver. That's assuming you have the pins back in and the grip attached.

You can measure the hole with a ruler to get a decent indication. They look bigger than 6mm to me but still... A quick google has revealed that the OEM is indeed Classic Army.

They look like a copy of the Earmor ones. My Earmors have been fine, others have not been so lucky. At least if you buy from Socom it might be easier to get them returned under warranty if they break. What helmet are you using?

In some respects...maybe. I think the big thing that worked the best for us was just pacing ourselves which potentially comes from more than half of us being older (and arguably more buggered). We did see a lot of running and gunning from both the Blue and Yellow teams in the morning which given the heat and the nature of the games may well have been their downfall in the long run. Of all the guys that held the valley bomb, I'd say half weren't directly affiliated with either team/friend group/rag tag bunch of mercenaries (delete as applicable), we were just happy to sit and defend instead of running and gunning. PTFO as they say.

Not a stupid question at all. As above, set it up for 1J and you'll be sweet for pretty much everywhere. I'd use heavier ammo and adjust the hop for outdoors games though. Why not have two guns though?

See, that's the thing. I enjoy the "proper" survival shows too, but seeing Terry from Essex who's done a bit of camping and reckons that living off whatever he can find on a tiny island in the middle of typhoon season would be a "piece of piss", fail miserably and potentially lose a finger while trying to chop firewood just ignites something in me. Try one and let us know Somebody did make a bit of thread a while back about Specna mag compatibility, the one thing I would bear in mind though is that the Edge and One series had different OEMs so what works in one may not work in the other. My own experience? My SA-A03 One series (from back before they were called One Series because that was the only series they did), works well with Nuprol mags (both metal and plastic ones), PTS EPMs (not the EPM1) but not the Beta Project Pmags.

I'd say that people gravitated towards social media based groups but are starting to be pushed back down the forum route due to restrictions being placed on firearm related social media content. Personally, given the nature of discussion around what we enjoy, I find the long form format of the forum more useful because it goes further than "sik gun innit" and technical advice can be in a more detailed style.

It's a very old design so was never really intended for a rotary hop unit. You might have better luck with a decent quality traditional style hop unit as it's slimmer overall. Alternatively (with my engineering head on) you could try filing the adjuster ring down to a smaller size and cutting new knurls on it for grip.

You are correct, but everyones idea of "good UI design" is different. For example, I work in Industrial Automation, part and parcel of that is operator interfaces for machines. Every client we have wants their UI a certain way which in and of itself is fine but if an operator is familiar with how machine A works and then has to go and work on machine B which does exactly the same thing but is made by a different company then the UI will be different so will require familiarisation. If you design a UI from an iOS users perspective, it will not feel intuitive to an Android user and vice versa. You may not be familiar with the layout of this forum because it's not what you use but those of us that use forums a lot are very familiar with it because it uses the same platform a lot of other forums do. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that the utopia of universal UI is not easy at all.

@Biggie-Banana264 is it just the size of the outlay that concerns you or the risk of getting a lemon? As RIFs go the edge 2.0 range is pretty decent, it's certainly at a price point where you should expect a reliable and reasonably well performing gun. If you get a lemon out of the box, just send it back. The consumer protections are there for a reason! If you buy second hand you probably stand a higher chance of getting a lemon, particularly if it's been "upgraded" (translation: pre-fucked). Bear in mind that the reason you might see a disproportionately high number of people criticizing a product online is that most people that are perfectly happy with something don't go out of their way to sing its praises online. If it's the pure cost element that is giving you pause then either a) save a bit more, or b) pick something cheaper that is still well regarded (like Double Eagle or a G&G Combat Machine) and work up to a more expensive gun once you've decided that yes, airsoft is the massive hole you wish to throw all your spare cash into.
