  1. It's exactly that. IIRC Beta Project made the old PTS PMags way WAAAAY back.
  2. Looks like the Beta Project EXP mag to me, 140 rnd AEG versions are available but seem to be a bit hard to find in the UK. I have some, they're....OK.
  3. As far as the gears themselves go, a set of standard V3 compatible gears should be fine. The gearbox case is a bit specific because of the recoil function but that's about it.
  4. I think it's a lesson in not penny pinching. The only times I use Evri is if it's a service provided by a seller for returns (like Amazon). Pay the extra 50p. As far as refunds go, pay up and claim it back. It's your responsibility until the customer receives it.
  5. Not always. My only Perun is in my G&G SR25. That doesn't have Auto. The fire selector will not physically go past safe and the trigger board has no "auto" switch on it. Programming that was not easy.
  6. Main connector is a mini Tamiya, small connector is a JST. The small one plugs into the white socket on the side of the B6, line up the black (-ve) wire with the -ve side of the socket (it's designed for also charging bigger batteries with more cells). Note that the mini Tamiya IS NOT wired the same as the RC wiring of the same connector. If you buy adaptors make sure you get the right (airsoft) type.

Ultimately it's a longer, semi only version of their standard 417. General consensus seems to be that they're a solid V2.5 style gearbox so should have plenty of volume to be DMR material. I'm certainly looking at the standard 417 to make into a Benghazi/13 hours style DMR.
  8. Use it for a while and then decide what needs doing. Not before you buy the thing.
  9. I have the same gun with similar issues. Following with interest!
  10. Nuprol make very little. They tend to just rebrand other peoples stuff. Every once in a while they rebrand something good. Even a broken clock is right twice a day!
  11. They both come with the Gate Aster programmable MOSFET. So yes, they both have a decent fire control system. If you want to program them though you will need either the Gate USB-Link or the Gate Blu-Link.
  12. Absolutely, other than being drier than a nuns fanny it seems to be in pretty good nick.
  13. I was just thinking that, it's in bloody good nick for its age!
  14. Batteries - Turnigy or Vapex Speed loader - Odin M12 (cheap copies exist but are universally crap) or a Tokyo Marui one (the one that's shaped like an M4 magazine), again the cheap copies are crap. Lens Protectors - depends on what sight you get but https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/reddotengineering As far as tracers and red dots go, it entirely depends on your budget. Holy Warrior, Vortex and Vector Optics are good, WADSN, Evolution Gear, Night Evolution are all decent too. Just be aware that if you buy from a UK shop you will be paying over the odds. Tracers are a bit of a mixed bag but one or other of the Acetech ones seems to be the go to.
  15. Wow, that is OLD! The different design of tappet plate would certainly account for what you're seeing. The fix will still be a longer nozzle though as you can't get tappet plates like that any more.
  16. We have a winner! Tip of the nozzle isn't sealing with the rubber.
  17. Might be worth looking into something like this: https://www.firesupport.uk/airsoft-pro-reinforcement-m-block-for-version-2-gearbox.html to hold the hop unit steady. Usually the wings on the side of the hop unit engage in the slots in the barrel to prevent that side to side rotation. You may be able to pack that a bit?
  18. A quick release cable will be open at one end and have a tab of some sort at the other (the end you pull on). The cord has to be free to move otherwise it defeats the whole point of having it.
  19. What make is the M16A1 receiver? What barrel length do you now have and where is the vent on the cylinder?
  20. They look like they're the ends of the "cummerbund". They should connect under the molle layer on the back of the vest. Is there some shock cord or something similar with the vest? Just realised - the top pic is the inside of the back plate, your second picture is the two parts that go on the sides of the vest and the eyelets connect up (somehow) to size the vest to you. Just watched a quick review video and it says that it's a releasable carrier. You should have a tab with a piece of wire/cord attached to it. Looks like that is supposed to loop through the eyelets to hold it all together. Given that it's their "Ready To Go" rig, you'd have thought it would come preassembled.
  21. That's literally it.
  22. As long as you keep on top of your maintenance (not sure if the nitrogen would be better or worse for any seals in the system) then I see no reason why not. It can't be any more aggressive than the propane you'd have been using prior to converting it to HPA!
  23. If there's a leak it's going to be most likely the nozzle length.
