Hey guys, i have a few of questions about spraying and krylon:- is it worth using krylon primer? where is the best place to buy? any tips on spraying? thanks in advance
-
thats the "anywhere in the world rate" ... register on there webby first then it should be greatly reduced
-
short answer yes ... long answer, yes ... sort off , they have a colour camera up front that has its IR filter removed, they then have a colour LCD display inside (so you can see), there is 2 sets of IR LED's, 1 low powered, 1 high powered .... in essence all you are seeing is IR, so not true "night vision" ....... but for what i paid i don't think ill loose any sleep over that fact Edit :- i just want to add that these are wayy better than the spynet nvg's, as these have an "auto balance" feature to try and stop them from washing out etc. G&G L85

fuses ... halfords (they might not be cheap, but they should have the fuse you want

-
(old pic) my G&G cm16 ... i don't why, but normally you cannot see the green on the RIS rail, but every camera really high lights it
-
its not a red dot its actually a 4x32 RGB Tri-Illuminated Compact Scope+Red Fiber Optics Sight see ebay item number 201091274383 as for the rail, the rail it had was 19mm, and i needed the offset as i have a big head, the original "z" style rail was too low, i must have spent £50 on rails trying to get something that worked and didn't look too pants (this is the least pants), its not finished mind as i plan to shape the top ris raiser ... i resemble that remark

my G&G L85, that i have been restoring
-
what size lipo did you use? is anything else damaged? i read on some very old american threads a while ago about alternative motors ... but i don't know of any being fitted, and i cannot for the life of me remember the motor size, if you do know the cage size (motor type/size), try hobby king as they seem to have a nice selection.
-
gotta say they was really helpful when i emailed them, and offered me a choice of compatible inner barrels etc
-
have a look on G&G's webby, and see if you can get the part number for the shorter barrel, then just email them for the bits ... i did this with my l85 hop+barrel (just beware of import VAT and RMG's ransom fee aka "clearance fee") or if/when you have the part number approach a G&G retailer

(in my view) it might be best to keep with a light gun then, as you are used to the weight etc, full metal guns tend to be a bit tiring on your arms if you are not used to them (but this is a personnel thing, as if you have biceps like pop eye it wont make much difference etc). one more thing to consider on a M4 is front rails, as this allows more upgrade options such as using a fore grip (i recommend this as it reduced wrist stress), and other add ons (torches PEQ boxes etc etc) the other thing to consider is gun balance, for instance, in my G&G CM16 raider, the battery is in the Stock, meaning a lot of the weight is close to your body, i find this to be very comfortable and easy on my arms etc. have you tried talking to a few locals at you local site, they normally love showing off there guns (i do ), and it would give you a chance to see how they feel to you
-
don't forget you can get low-cap mags for AEG's so easy to learn trigger discipline and have a hi-cap in reserve as for a good gun, i find my G&G raider great, its nice and light, and in over 18months of ownership, all i have done is give the barrel a good cleaning every now and then, nothing has dropped off etc. Its up to you as to which gun you go for, but just out of interest what have you been using at you local site? are they full metal?

most annoying me atm is :- Royal mail group (sorry to anyone who works for them), there ransom fee (aka clearance fee) is a joke, my postie ... who seems to have a random day off each week, and often doesn't seem to try and actually post stuff through my letter box ... honestly i have had a red card for something the same size but slightly thicker then an iphone, and i have a normal size letter box Any courier who goes straight to the rubber backed ornimental knocker (which makes no noise what so ever), and completely misses the door bell 2 inches below the ornimental knocker Sellers (on ebay and amazon) who say they have posted your item .... but the date on the stamp says no it was 3 or 4 days later (sorry for the rant at couriers, i know your not all the same etc i have just had a bad time atm)

*semi skirmish update* so i had it with me last Sunday, and while i did want to run with it i discovered a minor problem, which prevented me from using it. basically it was over hopping with 0.25's ... like crazy over hopping. And unfortunately for me i forgot my bottle of 0.3's ... so i just ran with my work horse (G18c AEP) that said i need a holster ... and i would like a silencer which isn't a barrel extension (i want the silencer cool looks, with out the high/hot/insane FPS) i am going to do some more testing, maybe strip it down and have a look at the hop arrangement etc . On a plus note i know the hop works ... EDIT :- so i just tried to strip it down to have a look at the hop etc .... and there lies my first problem, you see on ASG webby, there is a great exploded drawing of the gun, and according to that drawing the outer barrel is held on by a screw that goes through the hop assembly and nips on the opposite side of the outer barrel .... only there isn't, it looks like a pin to me, and i could not get it to move not to be put off or any thing, by removing the fake spring loaded cartridge eject port cover, you can see the metal top of the hop arm .. applying a small amount of pressure can and will cause the arm to bent slightly ... need to do some testing but it looks alot better now

this happed only last sunday ... considering wearing a helmet myself now not me in the video ... but ouch!

if you read back a page or 2, i had already email them before i placed any order, and when placing my order i spent along time playing "hunt the flipping comment box". also why did they reply at 07:33 to my first email (regarding spring change). in the end, its done and its tough poop on my part TL:DR here is the time line :- 2014-10-23 23:10 i asked taiwangun if i purchased XXX gun and a spring at the same time would they change it as the gun is too hot atm 2014-10-24 07:33 taiwangun replied to just add to comments box what fps i needed and they would change it (strange they replied so early in the day to this email) 2014-10-24 15:02 after only just finishing placing my order and not seeing a comments box i email taiwangun regarding the order and requesting the spring change etc 2014-10-25 08:33 from taiwangun "Please be advised that the processing an order XXX has been launched. Now you can’t make changes in order." 2014-10-25 10:30 from taiwangun "Please be advised that the order XXX has been changed to Completed." 2014-10-25 10:30 from taiwangun same email but with tracking number 2014-10-25 10:30 from taiwangun email reply to my email on 24th "Unfortunately order has been send already" 2014-10-27 15:04 from ups "notify you that the electronic shipment information below has been transmitted to UPS" acording to UPS's webby item was collected at 12:31 earlier that day

dont get me wrong, i know from the past how quick they do ship stuff etc. what gets me, is straight after i placed the order i emailed them (it was in the evening that i placed the order so i know no one was there etc)... they then ignored my email until after they claimed to have dispatched the item ... which sucks and is tough poop for me as i will now have to open the gear box potentially invalidating the warranty (or that's how i read the warranty etc). Not that i think ill need the warranty, its just a piece of mind thing tbh.
