  1. Have you tried emailing G&G part department? they are really really helpful (they sent me loads of exploded drawing when i was getting my L85 hop and barrel, and also offered me loads of different barrel options etc) and may have a longer version
  2. i couldnt find a CM,028 for sale when i was looking, i ended up going to taiwangun
  3. dont forget the old CYMA CM.028 series (AK47), cheap as chips, and a bloody good gun, i was well impressed with mine today, both in range and rate of fire (came with a battery and charger too)
  4. use heavier weight bb's, due to there mass they take longer to slow down etc ... but the price will be reduced fps consider over hopping
  5. if you watch it to around 2min 20's you can see him assemble the cct
  6. kipkay used to have a schematic on how to do this, but its been taken off his webby , but the youtube video still exsists
  7. Mine is using a attiny13a, basically a programmable chip. The resistor is across the diode to allows me to use the diode as a light detector, and shut down the chip to save power
  8. i upgraded mine as i had lost the standard battery. have a read of my review/upgrade process .... might give you a few idea's >>>http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/15563-tokyo-marui-mp5k-kurz-aeg/ as for parts .... errrrr it all depends upon what you would like to spend i am sorry to say. that said i would advise a strip down as its pointless spending money, if the internals are on there way out etc as a point of note, when i bought mine originally ... back in 1998, i think i paid £550 for it ...
  9. arr a good old MP5K that's how mine used to look , they are a good gun, abit low on FPS (i only managed 250FPS on a SP100 spring!), but they do have a distinctive sound ... and i have not seen many on the field. (word of warning the standard box is only 6mm, so not the best for upgrades etc) as for the battery if memory serves me correctly, you need a 8.4v 1300mah stick (don't be tempted by the 1600's ... they wont fit ... or they didn't when i bought one .... best to measure up to be sure though) as for fore grip unless you can find a TM MP5K kruz fore grip, there isn't a lot of options, as if you fit the ris kit like i did you loose access to the battery-connector/hop adjuster area. and a standard MP5 forgrip is wayyy too long. That said by looks of it you have also lost your fuse holder and the majority of the mini tamyia connector When was the gun last serviced?
  10. unfortunately my iphone cannot see IR, so this is a really bad video shot through my WM2 NVG's (but you should get a good idea of how it works)
  11. after many weeks of pulling my hair out i have finally done it :- wtf is it i hear you ask .... inside its:- to sum it up its a IR "firefly" (beacon/strobe effect) with smart control, that means during day light it shuts down to save power this is only my first version ... i can program more led's to it if i want
  12. correct, register and login price will be correct then
  13. according to sapphires webby system minimum :- 500 Watt Power Supply is required. all ways better to go more then less
  14. i would be tempted to upgrade the power supply ... maybe a 750 or 800 .... always better to have more then less i would also go with a corsair power supply .... as i have never had one fail in my pc or on my bitcoin mining rigs
  15. (i was expecting Mr Gere to dislike this, due to the 556 holo sight and LLM01 unit ..... i was wrong .... but they do make the rifle nose heavy )
  16. would it fit the G&G l85? i only ask as my google fuu is letting me down and i can not find out the thread size on the G&G l85
  17. in G&G's defense, they do have a "unlock" or "spring tension release" button, it basically disengages the anti reverse latch (accessible in the mag-well), and the only reason they do lockup is due to them "pre-loading" (similar to a PSG1), though this can be dealt with by swapping the sector gear for a v2/3 one .... which also means swapping the piston and spring (as they are PSG1 style too) and adding a 10mm spacer in between the piston and piston head. i did read somewhere though that G&G no longer use the old style (PSG1 style) setup .... but i am not 100% sure as i cannot locate the source
  18. updated! added pics and strip down etc etc
  19. Hey guys, i have a few of questions about spraying and krylon:- is it worth using krylon primer? where is the best place to buy? any tips on spraying? thanks in advance
  20. thats the "anywhere in the world rate" ... register on there webby first then it should be greatly reduced
  21. short answer yes ... long answer, yes ... sort off , they have a colour camera up front that has its IR filter removed, they then have a colour LCD display inside (so you can see), there is 2 sets of IR LED's, 1 low powered, 1 high powered .... in essence all you are seeing is IR, so not true "night vision" ....... but for what i paid i don't think ill loose any sleep over that fact Edit :- i just want to add that these are wayy better than the spynet nvg's, as these have an "auto balance" feature to try and stop them from washing out etc. G&G L85
