  1. There is people who make hi-cap gbb mags, if like me you don't want tapped mags. I highly recommend reaper airsoft on Facebook.
  2. First and foremost, go handle the guns, the TM is plastic (good quality mind), the 1911 don't hold much gas etc That said I would rate them in the following order of best :- m92, f226, 1911, ASG (as I don't know a lot about them) But that's just my opinion;)
  3. CYMA don't tend to make that good M4's best bet would be to save up a little more and get a G&G combat machine
  4. I noticed that wolverine has just launched its range of storm regulators Interesting times indeed
  5. wrap some of this >> http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chunky-Christmas-Tinsel-metre-Decoration/dp/B005LNAK92 round it i bet it would look very Christmas'ey
  6. Look up bb's direct on Facebook, there 0.4's aren't bad (I have used them) Also socom tactical might have some proballs (I have a bag of there 0.43's that I have not opened yet)
  7. Tough call, I went with the £65 deal extreme acm PSO-1 (2 weeks on I am still waiting for it, but the tracking number is working now) But I am really tempted to get this NSP-3 that I have seen
  8. 2 WE glock co2 mags, no problems with cold weather and normal gas mags now lol 4 svd mags

  10. I use heroshark mako's
  11. I really want an ares vz58 compact Edit :- when my pso-1 and hop unit arrive get them fitted to my svd, give it a try out then maybe mancraft it then might have to get that NSP-3 I have just seen if/when I do a night game
  12. I'll agree with you on the l85, I was just using it as a comparison gun (and one that I own) I suppose my point is £400 is a lot to spend on a first gun, when you don't even know if your going to stick with it (long term) I think we should be saying looking at eye pro, boots, batteries, mags, etc etc then see what you have left for a gun
  13. Anyone know of a reliable Russian surplus website that ships to the uk? I am after some svd pouches :)

  14. As a comparison my TM mp5k had 6mm plastic bushings, where as my cm16 had 8mm oilite bushings. And my g&g l85 has steel bushings. My cm16 had some 50k rounds through it, with zero mods, before I decided to open it up to have a play, I could have just lubed it, and rebushed it and it would have been good. But I wanted to jack it.
  15. that's a bit of an unfair assessment, do allow me to explain :- G&G quality is really really good, very rarely do you hear of one going wrong, and so confident is G&G they offer a 2 year warranty, most other manufacturer offer a year. But like you say they are common, and there common for a reason, there good and they do work well, out of the box. i suppose i am a little bias, i do have a CM16, which i never opened until it was over 2 years old. it is a great gun. you could argue that TM plastics are better, but they at the least twice the price for not that much better (i own a TM MP5K too). i will grant you that TM hops are better, but not by much real world distance. don't get me wrong i am not saying that there perfect, but they are very consistent, very affordable, and they do what they say they are going to do, and they are easily up-gradable.
  16. read this >>> http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/17294-ians-guide-to-noobism-on-a-tight-budget/ loads of info etc don't blow £400 on your first gun, you may see one you like better etc
  17. i cont recall who asked, but action hobbies have spring A&K SVD mags in stock

  18. Good luck getting a full setup for sub £300 Have a look here :- http://www.beestingairsoft.com
  19. Not co2 or hpa for that matter, they are not effected by temperature (-5 I have seen co2 still work), as they are stored under pressure and not a liquid in airsoft use. Green gas/144a etc those are effected by temperature, as they are stored as a liquid in airsoft use. and going from a liquid to a gas is an endothermic reaction (requires heat/energy) etc
  20. Just stick to the AA hop unit, Like proffink say a lot of AA stuff is old and expensive
  21. It's a personal preference on upgrade path, have a read here :- http://www.airsoftsniperparts.com/upgrading-a- Or here :- http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/41-vsr-rifles/6075-advanced-vsr-sniper-building-guide.html My advice would be to go with an action army hop (and a good hop rubber, a TM one will be fine) unit first, as this lets you use your gun, and get some accuracy. Then do trigger/cylinder/Spring/piston/Spring guide/cylinder head all in one go Last of all if you wish, replace the barrel with a high quality item
