It's another G&G Combat machine. They are all the same. The G&G Combat Machine range are decent for the price. Therefore all G&G Combat Machines are good.

Has anyone built a rifle body from scratch?
TacMaster replied to NH Shooter's topic in General Discussion
You could buy all the external components separately from retailers, buy a decent GB shell and high end parts for it and have a gun tech install them for you? That way you get your solid stock, M4 receiver (or you could make an MP5 DMR? MP5, solid stock, G3 front end?) and whatever else you want in your ideal DMR. -
It does add a bit of a cool factor though, and provides protection for an extended inner barrel if you swap the stock out for a longer one
-
I'd suggest any combat machine. Save the money on the suppressor for extra mags/batteries.
-
Almost any suppressor will fit, they tend to be purely cosmetic and don't suppress the sound of an AEG however they're brilliant on bolt action spring and gas rifles. You can get a basic double threaded suppressor for around £18. <- out of stock here but there are plenty available elsewhere on the web. I'd choose a plain one, suppressors with a knurled finish or with markings/steps down to a lower diameter cost more due to a more complex production process.

Ok. There is no difference between any Combat Machine besides externals. Long barrel does not equal more range. It's the quality of the Hop-up unit, rubber or nub. All CM guns will clock in at 320-335 FPS from what I've heard. It's down to your preference whether you want a shorter or longer gun. A longer gun with a longer RIS system will allow you to put more attachments on it if you wish, however shorter guns can be more pointable and easier to go around corners and operate in confined spaces with. Longer guns can also be easily rested on barricades, cover etc if you want to maintain potential operational effectiveness while fiddling around with a water bottle/hydration unit or your pouches/mags.

Absolutely nothing internally. They're the same gun, just a different length and with different furniture.
-
Look down the barrel. Are there any small bits in it when you hold it up to the light? If there are, a popular method of cleaning is using Methylated spirit on a cloth pulled through the barrel. If there's still bits in it or grey coming off onto the cloth, remove the barrel completely, and wash it in warm soapy water. Make sure you dry it completely before re installing. Another test you could do is pin a piece of white card or paper to a surface and dry fire the gearbox on it's own at the card. If anything comes out, open it up and take a peek.

TBH I wouldn't worry about CQB specific guns at your stage, I'd just be looking at something that fits the bill for woodland and CQB play, non-specific. If you want the best of both worlds look at a standard CM16 with the RIS or something like this. My M4's the same size and I find it better for play in dense woodland as you can have a little more manoeuvrability in bushy areas from the shorter barrel, while keeping the stock which can be adjusted, further shortening the overall length. And actually ROF is not a concern when you're looking for a CQB gun as most CQB sites enforce a semi auto only rule.

Metal parts aren't all their cracked out to be, a lot of low quality metal is used in airsoft parts- we had a member who dropped one of their ICS metal M4s when taking it out of his attic and the receiver snapped in two. TBH if you want metal, get one of the G&G Top Techs. They're more expensive as there's metal in it, it's got stamped markings, unique serial number etc and the Gen 2s and 3s have some internal changes from the originals. You can pick up a basic Gen 3 M4 for £250, and if you can find any Gen 2s floating around, they'll be on at about £200. But honestly I'd get a G&G Combat Machine for the time being, and maybe in a year or so buy yourself a Top Tech or a G&P rifle. G&P have the best externals by far out of the manufacturers and OK internals- if you get a gun tech to have a look at it or ask the retailer to put some upgrades in while it's in store for a bit extra, then it'll be great.

I've heard the Oakely gloves rip pretty easily for a 'milspec' product- and I've also heard of it's clones being more durable. One of my instructors is in the forces and chose a pair of knockoffs over the real thing because of this; his have lasted training and postings in Kenya, Germany, Afghanistan, Gibraltar and other places. However, I've heard many good things about Mechanix gloves, specifically the M-Pact model. Haven't used them personally but there's a few on here who have. If I were you, I'd get a pair of Viper gloves; on a whole their products are hit and miss, however I've owned a pair of viper tactical fingerless gloves for the last 3 years and they've been fine. In fact the stitching's only just giving up on one of the padded sections, and I've used them pretty heavily. Very good for the price. Ultimately the choice is yours, but personally I wouldn't go for the more expensive gloves. I mean, feel free if you want all gucci kit but this is airsoft! All we're protecting against is high velocity plastic pellets

Hahah always mix those two up

Spain require parts of a rifle/pistol to be yellow, idk about others though

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
TacMaster replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
3 point slings are easy to set up, I don't see the issue -
Bolt action gas FTW, only needs a bolt grease and a striker plate degrease every now an then

This thread is 100% done

Forgot to mention- if you end up going for the extremely hi-speed Mini MAV, a belt with a water bottle pouch or a hydration bladder on your back is recommended for transport of liquid

Before committing to a battle belt, I'd look around a little. Your typical MOLLE battle belt is comprised of a belt, the MOLLE battle belt, a yoke (or harness) as well as the pouches. I'd actually suggest one of the Bulle lightweight chest rigs. I looked into buying a multicam battle belt a while ago; costing looked like this: Battle Belt: £29.99 Issue webbing belt: £14.99 Yoke: £24.99 That's £69.97 without pouches or shipping. (these are typical prices I encountered) However, the Bulle Lightweight Chest Rig has all you need for £39.95- space for 6 M4/G36/AUG or 4 AK mags, 2 zip-up utility pouches which can fit BB bottles, small gas cans, water bottles etc, MOLLE loops on the back panel for hydration pouches, a zip up map pouch, and MOLLE on the front of all 3 pouches for an admin pouch, pistol mag pouches, hanging pyro's off etc. The price has actually hiked a lot since I bought mine, they were £25 each a month or so ago. They come in Multicam, Olive Drab and Tan. As for quality, Bulle stuff is outstanding for the price- their products are (mostly) cheap and usually have the quality and construction of more expensive brands- and they're based in the UK! You can find a lot of their stuff here: http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/index.php Another option is the more gucci Tactical Tailor Mini MAV. They are incredibly tiny, about half the size of this Bulle rig ^ and are £10 cheaper. They have a small amount of MOLLE, and come with no pouches, however there's enough space for a triple mag pouch of any style (including double stacked ones which have mags along the front) and 2 pistol mag pouches/grenade pouches/whatever fits onto a 1x2 MOLLE loop slot. You can get them and other Tactical Tailor products from here: http://www.tactical-kit.co.uk <- hell of a site, great people Direct link to Mini MAV: http://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/tactical-tailor-mini-mav-23019-1717-p.asp £32.99 for it in Multicam, £31.99 in any other colour (includes black, OD and Coyote Brown) I own one of these and it's great quality, all of their products are made in Tacoma Heights, Washington, USA, and are all individually checked for quality (the checker even signs their name ) You can fit admin pouches to the front of the mag pouches and other small pouches/MOLLE velcro patches. Hope this helps

Posting RIFs via Royal Mail/ Parcelforce - experience?
TacMaster replied to straffham's topic in General Discussion
There's a few airsofters who live within a 2 mile radius of the post office on my street (the next one's a town away) so the clerk's used to us- he applies the insurance and correct delivery type as soon as he sees a massive rectangular parcel come through the door -
You could be a bit indie and see if you can get your team's logo created in cap badge form? I reckon that'd be pretty cool either in alloys or in plastic

16. Lots of fun being 16 in this day and age.
-
As long as you shape it properly and don't run around with a floppy stores-fresh unshaped one then you won't look like a complete knobber

You win this round, Captain..........

I did a better job with the spots on the hidden side, however I quite like how it's turned out

To put this into perspective, it's like turning up your nose at a Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini or similar high end sports car in favour of a cheap 1997 Vauxhall Astra you can put some aftermarket performance tuners in. With a lot of expenditure you could theoretically get the performance of the expensive cars, however you just won't get the quality...
