You've just had a bad experience with a gas gun, that's all....gas weapons are high maintenance, so they're not recommended for new players. you're better off staying on the airsoft scene with renting etc until you have enough to buy a decent AEG

People tend to convert 7.62mm replicas into DMR role weapons as they are used in that role IRL- granted there are a few 5.56 DMR weapons around and more used for the DM role in airsofting however it's better for accurate loadouts. E.G you could in theory have a US Navy Seals marksman/sniper loadout with an upgraded MP5, as the USNS use MP5s (I think) however people get funny about people using MP5s and small weapons with DMR standard internals as DMRs. (I wasn't recommending you get the H in my above post, I was just posting my preference )

SCAR H, because of the DMR potential. You don't actually see a lot of guys with 7.62 caliber replicas where I play either.

That thompson would be nicer without the M4 front end...if you made one which had the stock handguard design with rails on that it'd be nicer...

Sorry to rain on your parade but there are no stock kits available for a PPQ- and I'm not even sure if there is a decent airsoft replica of one on the market. As monty said, if you're looking for a body/stock kit for a pistol there are plenty available for Marui full size Glocks- such as the Roni kit or the AABB kit. There is however an AABB kit available for M1911/MEU style pistols, and your best bet for a base gun for that would be a Marui 1911.

Keep my shirts and chest rigs on hangers in front of the rest of my clothing and uniforms. I also keep my field rig on the floor with a camelback-style hydration bladder and day sack.

You can buy a RIF with defences other than UKARA, you know........being a regular skirmisher, having a junior site membership and even keeping photos of you skirmishing on a Facebook account works for 2nd hand sales and may even be good enough for buying stuff from new (I know it is with the junior membership if you're buying at the site's shop)

Simple. FAB Defense/clone company bolt-on rail which will fit to any M4 handguard with the correct holes in it.

zombie apocalypse.....would your gun do the job!?
TacMaster replied to Pointman PUG's topic in General Discussion
Meh. Boots + bergen + ration pack foods = survival for me. Plan of action: grab my Mora hunting knife, my dad's axe and his crowbar from our shed, raid the shop across my street for supplies, get all my kit assembled and go walkabout. I'd only go about firearm & ammo gathering after the first few weeks when human vs human incidents begin to occur- my dad has OS maps of my part of Hampshire so I can grab those and get a bearing to walk on for Bordon military camp. There I'd seek shelter/loot (depends on whether there's anyone alive in there) and score some rifles and ammo if I can. Then I'd see about building a small base or similar in the middle of nowhere or an easily defendable building. Plenty of building materials around (there's a building supplier down the road from me anyway) and start work on that. i'd want to stay by myself for as long as possible as I'd be worried about people double crossing me for supplies. -
Flecktarn ProAirsoftSupplies Flecktarn have been brilliant every time I have used them, possibly the best customer service I've experienced yet. ProAirsoftSupplies are the same, as well as offering a MASSIVE G&G range and providing technical info on every weapon that leaves their doors- mine came with a sticker on the box stating it had an average FPS of 324, and I got the same figure from chrono testing at my local site. Firestorm Kit Actionhobbies FK took 3 weeks to send out my order despite me living 30 miles away from the company's registered address. Took incredibly long to reply to my emails as well and every phone call went to answer phone. I like Actionhobbies a little more because it was more of a misunderstanding I had with them than anything else; back when I had my MP5 I ordered an ACM hi cap mag from AH. In the product description it clearly stated that the mags were compatible with Cyma MP5s, and a google search brought nothing up about compatibility. When I received the mag it didn't even stay in the weapon when fitted despite appearing to be the same dimensions as the mag that came with the gun. I got a quick return and refund anyway, so my experience wasn't that bad.

Fire crackers? Could swear U18s aren't legally allowed to buy and use pyrotechnics.... -
zombie apocalypse.....would your gun do the job!?

Maybe...but who says any trainees at a base such as Longmoor wouldn't be mobilised to protect vital assets against the theoretical zombies, taking the weapons with them? -

Problem is, Dan, they keep all weapons on military bases locked up tight most of the time...even on camps the MoD only use for the Cadet forces and training (such as Longmoor in the south of UK) the weapons are kept behind a massive steel door with like 3 different locks on it and the walls are very thick. Even if you got through the door, the rifle racks are kept behind steel mesh fencing (which you could cut through) however the racks themselves have security bars that prevent the weapons being taken out of them. Even if you did get behind all the security, they keep the loose ammunition somewhere else (idk where, only ever been into the armoury to pick up weapons) -
Mid cap mag... Who makes good M4 mags?
TacMaster replied to NH Shooter's topic in General Discussion
Been using (shock, horror) G&G plastic midcaps in my M4 for a while now. Ne feeding or fitting problems whatsoever, and a nice design to boot This may be due to the mags being the same manufacturer as the rifle, however Longshot's G&P mags didn't work in his G&P so this could just be better I suppose. -
Pictures? I'd like to make a DIY sling for my future AK

There's ABB systems for M249s- they're a lot cheaper than M240s because a lot of manufacturers make 'em and they go for between £300 and £600 new. The only M240s I've seen (and one I remember cause I pointed it out to Ian) are made by Echo1 in US M240 and UK GPMG form in the £725-£790 margin. You could perhaps do an EBB system with the cheaper G&P MK23 Stoner LMG, it's about £200 cheaper than the standard G&P M249- however for £469.00 I wouldn't mess around with system conversion Edit: I'd like to see a decent SVU made. Maybe a stock AEG version and a DMR internals version?

Course it's GBB, all you needed to do was a google search of it or find a video of it firing

We're offering alternatives for you Adam, because as UTJ said (in the first post in this thread) you would not be able to make a Warhammer 40K style Lasrifle without permanent mods of your existing weapon or making a complete new exterior from scratch.

Why would you even assume I meant using it pistol style?? What I was saying is that you can still use it with one hand on the handguard and one on the pistol grip, like a normal weapon without having it shouldered- this way you can stick your gun and head around a corner and shoot without having to display enough of your body to shoulder the weapon. (in fact using it pistol style doesn't drag down a lot- I'm not strong and I can still hit a man sized target at 30-40 odd meters after testing just now) I know, and I prefer to keep the stock in my shoulder when aiming instead of doing it freehand. I was mainly saying it's still possible to aim fairly accurately without the weapon shouldered however it is a little more difficult
