Rock-climby-Dave got a reaction from djben9 in Teeth shot out
I'm tired and knackered so havent read the thread, my opinions are as follows

I tend to not wear face pro (but also rarely skirmish these days) when I DO play. I had a tooth shot out about 2 years ago. Just the top off a front one, got it fixed and never thought more of it.

Sadly, it (without realising) damaged the nerve ending and the inside of the tooth has died.

I am currently on my 3rd course of antibiotics for a tooth abcess that began hurting on Christmas day last year (38 days ago at time of writing) and have been in constant pain (on a scale of 1-10 my constant pain is about 6) since then.
    non stop
    for 38 days.
    That wears you down.
Add into that a few days of pain '10' (or the worst pain you've ever had) where some lovely, lovely, slightly woozey feeling tramadol brought that pain down to a 3ish and you realise that yeah. I should probably have worn face protection.

    The cost is irrelevant
The slightly annoying mask-rubbing rifle cheek rest is irrelevant
Being in this much pain gives you the answer you need.

Because the dramatically increased risk of mouth cancer from idiocy is not worth diverting taxpayers money to over someone who isn't an idiot with their health (but has still ended up with another life-threatening disease). It's the same reason why type-2 diabetes should be unacceptable - it costs money to treat these people, a lot of money for everyone.

The NHS is a safety-net and if it needs to get used then of course so be it, but people must realise that if they take these risks then the bill is picked up by everyone else if something does go wrong. Over something so silly, well documented and downright unnecessary as snus I just don't see why you'd see it as ok to put that risk into the hands of someone else, and that does need pointing out to certain people.

The fact that it's doing it in full auto suggests a trigger mechanism or sear issue - nothing else changes position from semi to auto as you could imagine. As Dave says, it's possibly holding the hammer too high and it's grinding against the bolt.

What is it that looks bent? The hammer? Bent to one side or not sitting at a 90o angle? On most airsoft designs it never goes 90o except in the moment you pull the trigger as there's a small spring in where the valve knocker is that pushes it back (without this you'd vent the whole mag).

The magazine catch shouldn't be an issue as it would cause problems in both semi and auto if it was sitting too high - this is easy to test anyway as it's not engaged until your last shot anyway so it's removed from the equation when your magazine is full. Again, any issues with the mag catch would appear on semi too so you can basically rule that out.

This it almost certainly a problem with the trigger mech or hammer. You may notice that the hammer is held at a slightly different angle by the sear when it automatic (you may need to reset the hammer twice to observe this difference. As such, I'd look at your trigger sears too (located underneath the hammer). This could be the culprit as they wear quickly. If you're using an HPA tapped magazine, you absolutely should be investing in proper steal parts as bits wear down.

    Edit
Finally, check your full-auto sear towards the rear of the lower (silver bit) as these are known to wear down all the time. Buying a steel one isn't much money (£7-10), but they are a little fiddly to replace. Can you send us a picture of it all?

something in the trigger group is sitting a bit proud on full auto. double check all of the sears aren't broken or bent. Check the very front and rear of the BCG to make sure there are no burrs on it.

Has it always done it or developed the issue over time?

Politicians and the public will think what they want, seeing airsoft next to what is available on the civilian market in the UK won't really make an impact. They already think we're all evil lunatics who bathe in childrens tears. The point I was making is that rather than fighting essentially the same argument (guns are bad m'kay) as two separate groups, we fight the same argument as a single voice. Many members of the public see shotguns as something people in tweed use to hunt gamebirds and claybusting as something they 'might like to try one day' but don't really care beyond that. What we do, by dressing in camo and running around using full-auto weapons and using real-world tactics? To most people, the claybusting is less likely to harbour lunatics/terrorists/whatever

Excellent Ad Hominem, allow me to ask permission to add 'you're probably, like, 12' to my excellent list of internet comebacks.
'I shoot proper stuff' was added to show I use and understand both sides of this current topic. The real point I was trying to make was that the skills are mutually beneficial to each other and mostly transferable.

Ahh, the good ol' appeal to authority. Now, don't get me wrong, if you were/are serving military I have respect for what you do. However, I deal far too often with service personnel who 'know it all' and then immediately pick up a gun, finger on trigger and point it at me. Great, cheers for that.
Regardless of you being military/police or 'just a civi' You're just as squishy to a bullet from a firearm as me and your eyes are just as squishy to a BB.

It's fairly simple, 99.9% of airsoft suppressors are left hand threaded, so all you have to do is remove the flash hider and screw on the suppressor.

Rock-climby-Dave got a reaction from Monty in Improved Accuracy - Standing vs Prone. Advice Please
assuming this (this being height from floor increases accuracy) is the case then it should be easy to test.
    What happens when kneeling?
Is there a cut-off point where groupings suddenly decrease rapidly?

Failing that, there's always a squishy bit behind the gun that's usually responsible for poor shooting results

Rock-climby-Dave reacted to TheFull9 in M4 purchase.. But which one?
The Krytac having very impressive internals and the inclusion of a MOSFET is a huge plus to my mind. Trigger response is going to be by far the best of the bunch; if you're going to play any semi-only sites it's a game changer IMO. The grip and muzzle device can be changed very easily indeed.

G&P internals.. very 'meh', average to say the least. I've not heard of them doing any real updates in years so the Krytac spanks their ass in that regard, especially the actual gear set, which have been notoriously bad in G&Ps for a long time. Even if they have improved somewhat, still not up to the Krytac standard. Personally I think pretty much all G&P current offerings look puke-tastic in terms of all the completely fake looking white trademarks they plaster everywhere on their guns. Some folks like that look though, so each to their own there.

The RM4 line obviously adds recoil and stop-on-empty/hit bolt release when reloading if you use the proprietary magazines; so it's rather a different beast to the Krytac. If you want that 'experience' of the shooting aspect and more realistic looks, get the KWA (PTS don't make them, they just provide the accessories). More limiting in terms of battery storage and stocks/handguards you can fit than a regular AEG since the buffer tube is full of the recoil mechanism of course.

    Never liked zero one.
Just use Firesupport or Patrolbase for guns. Most parts and accessories either buy from smaller specialist sites or from abroad.
Only ever tried dealing with zero one once and wasn't impressed.
