  1. Not legal without a defence, unfortunately. Those two guns are also naff - as people have said in that other thread: Avoid those kinds of rubbish websites that exclusively sell 2-tone guns as there are plenty of decent retailers how will spray a decent gun for you. That said, however, you should certainly rent your gear and get your UKARA sorted or become a site member and then buy something decent. There's no hurry to start spending, but I know it's tempting. You will regret buying cheap when you start just because you couldn't be patient (this happens all the time to new players). And please read the stickies in this forum as you'd probably have found the answer without the need for a new thread. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/3779-the-beginners-guide-to-airsoft/ http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/12854-new-player-guides-info/
  2. It's mostly the 'voids' in the frame that aren't compatible. Not sure if that's the case on the WE, but if you remove the OEM grips and there's a big gap underneath then you're good. Without the gaps there the grips need sanding down. I know the KWA and TM frames have these voids but yeh, not sure about WE.
  3. Bastards are good but expensive. If you're trigger happy then perhaps the G&G or ASG ones would be better. Also the Bastards are kinda hard to get a hold of these days.
  4. Na,, I just mean that some hop units, bucking combinations can't lift heavier ammo consistently. You'll be fine with the Prometheus soft bucking though - those things are good.
  5. Na - the minimum for airsoft these days should really be .25s even in pistols. At 1.1J between .28 and .30 is optimal really.
  6. They always quote correctly do X-Fire, so you got very lucky indeed
  7. Go to .28s or even .30s if your hop can do it. Learn not to spam the trigger There are definetly better brands out there than Excel - I'd change this immediately really because it's a quick way to get much better performance. .20s are always naff. X-Fire has free shipping right now but you will absolutely end up paying VAT and a service charge if the total comes to £12 or more, so be wary. Service charge and VAT means you can expect to maybe pay £13 ontop of that though.
  8. Barrel length doesn't matter*; the finish and - to some degree - bore does. Prometheus, ORGA, PDI etc. - they're all good makes. PDI I still feel make the best out there, but Prometheus are excellent too. You'll see a difference between a good brand of barrel over many stock ones. You may get a very slight boost to your muzzle energy but at that length with an AEG it probably won't be a whole lot. You do need to put time into your hop unit and bucking, R-hop or flat hop or whatever because that's going to matter far more for accuracy. *For accuracy
  9. Don't bother with optics, lasers or anything else - pour every last penny (minus that money you've set aside for your batteries and eye protection) into the AEG. You will get what you pay for. Do not buy frivolous accessories, paint, etc. when you start because you likely won't be able to budget for anything decent and will just end up with a load of sub-par rubbish after the first few months before then realising that you could have better spent that money on your AEG. The ones we always recommend on here are the G&G CM-16s and the ICS M4s. There are of course plenty of others, but those tend to be the most popular.
  10. Without pictures it's hard to get an idea of condition.
  11. With two 980s you should probably consider a decent 4K.
  12. Titans aren't a good investment anyway - they were made a premium choice for the increased driver support and developer tools; they are not a consumer card. Buy 980 Tis if you want gaming performance.
  13. Bastards are a pretty premium brand compared to Blasters. Strange results - I'm especially surprised that you found bubbles in them. How recently did you buy them? They've been upping their prices world-wide so maybe they're not making the margin on their product that they want. I hope that hasn't meant that they've shifted manufacturing too or anything.
  14. The second rule: "Please try to use the edit and multiquote button rather than making 3 posts in quick succession - especially if you have a large signature."
  15. Well it's good to hear that they're somewhat confirmed - I think a lot of people have had work done by them.
  16. Yep, they're excellent - been running the .30g in my DG and that thing will chop anything that's too soft but they've fared well. Bastards are great too. Get the Devils direct from http://www.greendevilbb.com/ - apparently he was having a proper website made but that was 8 months ago when I asked. Should do an order manually for you though if you ask nicely and it can work out much cheaper if you're buying 3+ bags.
  17. Yes - so long as they are compatible with a delta ring. Also, for future reference: MOE just means 'Magpul Original Equipment' - by itself it isn't a product or item, but a range of products/brand.
