I'll PM you. -
Save your pennies and get a G&G CM16 or something from the entry-level ICS range of M4s for around £110-140. Anything cheaper probably isn't worth having.
-
Wat. You made the thread with no link to your FB page except the one in your signature (that's a locked group).
-
No, both are not what I'd put my money on . Like I said in both posts, buy some issued V12s if you're a bit strapped for cash and like the look of the ASG ones. Don't skimp on eye protection if you can really help it. Mesh doesn't fog; some people find it darkens their vision too much - I've never owned a pair so can't really comment but that's the key pro and cons to them. Again, you need to buy a decent pair - Heroshark do great mesh goggles.
-
Who's 'us'? They're rated perfectly fine - we've had this come up before with the Patrol base ones at least (they're a clone of the Bolle X1000s). I Googled for the second pair because OP put a space in the link that I didn't notice until just now: https://jdairsoft.net/protection/asg-dual-lens-tactical-glasses-clear That said, I agree with you that it's worth spending a little more. To OP: Those ASG ones are actually a clone of the ESS V12s. I'd just buy a set of them as they're not much more and you get all the lenses, case and anti-fog cloth with them.
-
Yup, they will. If you're looking for an affordable pair then the ESS Advancer V12s are great too - you can get a brand new set with all the lenses for £25 on eBay, or £15-20 if they're issued.

Assume you mean 6.03 - 6.04 or OP is gunna have trouble finding those, heh. I'd also note that many people have also found wider bores to be more consistent. There's no evidence that either make much of a difference over the usual benefits you get from having a good cut over your stock barrel, but that's just airsoft - very few people bother to properly test anything. Again, as you say the finish is far more important than the diameter anyway. I've also seen just as many people on those sniper forums using wider bores, but I'd agree with you that 6.03 - 6.05 is a good place to go for not least because wide bore inexplicably cost a lot of money right now. The only other reason I'd go for a wider bore is because they're less affected by residue from say biodegradable BBs, but that's also not really an issue in sniper builds.

I think this was mentioned in the other thread, but ASPUK just resell stuff (a lot of it Airsoft Pro) at a huge markup. Do intense Googling for anything airsoft and don't just stop at the first retailer you find.
-
If you're using a more powerful spring that mech won't help - it's just a metal outer-casing. The sears are what hold the spring back and those are made from a similar pot metal.
-
I've seen it happen. One minute they're blatting away with their new G36 and the next there's just a huge crater where the site used to be.

I'm not sure if you've said anything there that contradicts what I'm saying. I would say that a YouTuber can reply to the entry comment (shows up in your e-mail inbox for the majority of people and for the rest it'll show at the top right of YouTube as a glowing bell thingy). I get why giveaways are done, but you're forgetting that in themselves they provide publicity without the need for sharing/liking/subscribing: They're a way of reaching a new audience who may not even watch your videos before that, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to ask them for likes and shares etc. I 'unno, just seems slightly cheap to me to make content that relies on someone having to do a bit of a song-and-dance to get engaged with the content creator and almost acknowledges the fact that ultimately your views aren't enough: It needs to satisfy the sponsorship agreement they have with whoever is sponsoring the giveaway. Perhaps it is a naive thing to think, but I subscribe (and share) to content that I like to watch. Just feels like very lazy content creation to me with a lot of the recent airsoft giveaways. The thing is, I'd happily share most of these videos anyway, but don't like the idea of being forced to very slightly dilute my timeline and subscription tab just for the sake of one YouTuber's mortgage - not even if I'm only doing it for a week before unsubscribing again.

You can also take some material off the slide and smooth it down there. I've had that issue with my Guarder slides. All depends on whether this is a problem he's had for a while or just recently though. Could be an issue with the hammer otherwise.
-
Has it always been doing this? A lot of people have issues with the KJW G23 getting stuck on the hammer when the slide returns.

Are you saying there's potential for the M249? (pleaaaseee) -
The notches that are different on the M14 are for the clip on the hop unit (the two perpendicular cuts). Not the long ones that run parallel with the barrel. The M14 barrel accepts the same AEG bucking that AEGs use - it's a case of it not being able to secure itself in the hop unit that's the issue.
-
Not really. I'll say this: I think 90o triggers feel marginally nicer as they have a more clean break when you go to pull the trigger (generally not down to the overall design of that perpendicular sear engagement area, but just better materials and quality control than stock units), but the difference is negligible and doesn't really justify the price tag if that's the only reason you're buying it. On a stock, 45o trigger the engagement area is small because stock springs don't wear the sears much. The point of the 90o was to increase that contact area, thereby reducing wear on the sears overall - allowing one to use a stronger spring without risking undue wear on the sears. This is one of the many reasons why just throwing a powerful spring into a stock sniper rifle is a bad idea, yet people (unfortunately usually new players) do it all the time and then have their trigger mech just go kaput one day and it starts slam firing. So in short: Don't bother. If you do, go for the cheaper offering like the Airsoft Pro as I've found it just as good as the PDI one (not tried the LayLax or Action Army or others so can't comment on them). Sell on the spring and piston you get with the kit. There are better ways to spend that £45 - put it into your scope fund, for example.
-
90o was really made for strong springs as there's more contact between the piston and sears. Given how tiny the spring is on the SDiK this isn't necessary.
