  1. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Visionking-3-9x40-Rifle-scope-Riflescopes-for-Target-Shooting-Hunting-Military-1-inch-for-Ar15-M16/405045_32531607996.html VisionKing 3-9x40s going for £40.
  2. It's a mixed bag of opinions as to whether or not higher pressure green gasses should be used. If you're using it for CQB then play it safe and just go with your usual green gas like Smart or Pro Tech; I've seen a fair few posts about expansion chambers leaking and that tends to be with people using Nuprol 3, 4 and Guarder Power Up. Never had an issue myself but I wasn't running it on green gas for long, and it makes no sense to run it on more expensive stuff if you're using it below 20m anyway.
  3. Wouldn't usually say this in this particular thread but you say you've not bought them yet so hey. Been down this route before myself You can do it 'yourself' pretty cheap - my inserts for my ESS V12s came to £57 - thin, anti-scratch and UV coat when all was said and done. The goggles themselves were only £20. Specialised companies charge a premium. If you do some of the leg-work and send your prescription to a place like Glasses Direct that specialises in re-glazing then you'll probably find a better deal. You also won't be confined to only the choices of eyewear that they offer as buying inserts is possible for nearly every major brand so you can buy whatever you please and buying the inserts is as simple as grabbing a set off eBay for a tenner. I know the VICE inserts for my V12s are also cross-compatible with a lot of their other goggles too, so I can swap them over without a reglaze.
  4. Programming the UV-5R to PMR 446 is easy, but for the reasons already given in this thread it's illegal to transmit on PMR 446 with a UV-5R regardless off license or anything else because of its ERP and antenna. It's fine to listen on them though - I used mine to test out my headset: http://phillipcooper.co.uk/2014/06/programming-a-baofeng-uv-5r-for-uk-pmr446-channels/ The key step people miss sometimes is changing the 'step' amount to 6.25K. Ultimately the UV-5R isn't worth it unless you play at a site with a license or have one for yourself/your team
  5. I'm sure they are. If you live in the US, lol. $57 shipping on a pair of second-hand trousers... I get that Eagle Industries things are hard to find in the UK, but paying 5 times the item cost in postage for a GP Pouch? Dunno if that qualifies it as a bargain
  6. Except it's all in the US so you'll pay the USPS flat rate shipping of $35 and then VAT and a courier charge :S
  7. Yup. That link there is exactly where I got mine from - delivered quickly, fully boxed and sealed as you'd expect so seemed pretty good. Cheapest I could find brand new.
  8. Look on eBay - far cheaper for most things. That T81 is cheaper on there for sure.
  9. Specifically, Seany, the UV-5R has a detachable antenna and a minimum ERP of 1W - twice the allowed amount for PMR 446.
  10. Use the search on here and Google - sorry, but it's been asked and answered loads. The TM VSR is basically the most well documented airsoft gun ever made. Feel free to ask any questions not already covered, but those two have been extensively.
  11. ASPUK - bless their little hearts - just resell AirsoftPro parts for the most part. Go to AirsoftPro.cz and get them from there if you can. Fitting out a BASR is basically the easiest teching in airsoft so I'd certainly give it a crack for yourself if you're patient and know how to watch a YouTube video. I wouldn't say their barrels are better than PDI or EdGI but then I've never owned one so that opinion counts for about jack all. The AirsoftPro V2 trigger is pretty good. I've owned both the V1 and V2 and they're pretty great. This is a region for doing your own research in though because knowing how the VSR functions and what you can do to correct errors with it really should be the minimum if you're semi-serious about sniping. The VSR is the most well documented airsoft sniper rifle you can buy and there's a limitless amount of information available on it both here and on http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/ Look into the Mancraft SDiK as well. A lot of people are moving away from spring to CO2 and HPA this year (judging from these forums and others).
  12. After you play a bit it's not going to look 'factory' anyway - this isn't CS:GO lol. Use Halfords matte paints if you want a more permanent solution as Krylon wears off a bit after about a year as it's a semi-permanent paint. Its intended use is for hunters in the US who might not always want their gun to be painted the same way for ever. Just be sure to properly prep with a fine grit, isopropyl alcohol to remove all the oil and dust; use a primer if possible. I've found matte lacquers over the top always have some degree of gloss to them, so frankly I'd recommend avoiding them. There are some expensive ones that you can buy which might get you different results though.
  13. I'd paint the one you have. Finding them is pretty hard. There are a couple knocking about on Facebook due to people replacing them with wooden stocks, but the ones I've seen are painted or messed up.
  14. I have one, but it's a bit scratched up so you're going to want to repaint it. PM me if you'd like some pictures.
  15. I'd also day DHGate and AliExpress if you're going after a VisionKing scope. They do have an eBay UK shop too which ships from within the EU, but they charge a bit of a premium for using it.
  16. Goodness, you bought some of them fancy H&K branded BBs and gas? That's brilliant.
  17. Just because it's cheap doesn't always mean mean it's good value, unfortunately. The Sig looks interesting though.
  18. When did you order? How long is the wait going to be?
  19. It's not a loophole at all. Again, you can't just dodge the law by saying 'oh he didn't indirectly buy it from me' as there was still a transaction, even if it's slightly obscure. Do you think criminals get away with saying they never bought x, y or z elicit item just because no money changed hands immediately? No. However, like I say, it doesn't really matter. It's a grey set of hastily written laws with no legal precedent yet but please don't think that just because you didn't physically stand there and take money from someone in exchange for good that it won't be considered a transaction, because that's wrong. Again though, moot point because the whole thing is a bit dumb.
