  1. Still a lot of those knocking about if you look outside of the UK. They're great though.
  2. You're correct, but the issue is this covers the manufacture of RIFs too. I.e. removing the paint. Also, with buying, the liability is on the seller (the shop or person) and not the eventual owner. However, with manufacture the liability is on the person who manufactures it. With both of the above: There is nothing about ownership. The law governs those few minutes in which the crime is being committed. Unlike owning a section 5 firearm where you're breaking the law just by owning one regardless of where you got it.
  3. Actually it could be. A 'defence' isn't really properly defined by anyone other than the retailers. Not yet at least. However, I'd be sure to record going a few times first (keeping a receipt if you paid online or just writing down the dates at a minimum). I'd just not want to be that person that gets taken to court over it.
  4. Can confirm BAD on any GBBR or DG is really good. It does make things much quicker.
  5. Expect the ban hammer to come down hard and fast if you're going to be a racist on here. Thanks for the reports people.

  6. I feel you, but you're using an inherently flawed system when it comes to green gas. Just bite the bullet and go HPA if you want recoil and something that works reliably. There are GBBRs of course that work better than others, but in my experience none of them quite live up to what they promise.
  7. Na, it's not. I just don't like magazine rattle. Either way, I messaged them anyway in case there's some way I can half load them without it making a huge noise all the time, but I'm a little doubtful because of the way hicraps work. Can source them from that French site for about 13 quid each (if I'm including postage) if I need to, but the postage just seemed steep. I saw those Battleaxe ones too, but again wanted to try and find midcaps if possible.
  8. Thanks.Messaged them because they look too good to be true heh.
  9. Does anyone know of a midcap (or even low cap/real cap) short M4 magazine in the PMAG style? Obviously there are the old PTS ones, but I was wondering if there's been a more generic one made since. I've found one so far, but can't source it in the UK.
  10. Congrats on being the 1,230,139 person to put 'Molon labe' on a gun. But seriously, like the wood.
  11. Is anyone in direct contact with Sam or anyone else at Kingdom of Airsoft? I'm trying his email but getting no response.

I think for the people i know that had work done by him it was the constant excuses rather than just saying "look I'm snowed under please bare with me" then posting pics of his own builds and tech work that should have taken a back seat to paying customers

  12. Just remember that the UV-5R is too high in power to legally transmit on PMR446 channels. The lowest it goes is twice the allowed limit and it has a detachable antenna (also not allowed for PMR446 handsets). By default it transmits at 10x the allowed power (5W instead of 500mW) so be sure to - at a minimum - turn it down to low power (1W). Not that you'd ever get caught, but ya know if enough people start doing it... Also bear in mind that if your site has a license that you can transmit on their business/site frequencies with permission. You can then safely utilise higher power bands too. If you're in a team then a license is only £75 for 5 years between all of you, so that's worth considering as well.
  13. All those reported posts and threads are now hidden/deleted. @Nightowl Scopes Airsoft: Please be wary that above all else this forum is for your average airsofter to communicate with other airsofters and is not primarily a platform for promoting your YouTube channel. Please feel free to make a thread in the Media section and update that as per the rules of that section, but posting links to your channel in other threads is really not on. Thanks all for the reports.
  14. This is the newest IPB version and I imagine the old skin we were using is not compatible with it yet so yeh. It's pretty awful though and makes really poor use of the space.

Tried to go on WaybackMachine to get a comparison (couldn't get one) but maybe you can see what I mean. Even for 16:9 the main body is a fair bit smaller and that really reduces functionality.

      Much better, thanks.

      And yeh :D

  15. I did wonder, soz. Don't think AA even do one for the SVD and it's not bad - The AP one is just not as good as the AA for the VSR.
  16. Not with a Madbull barrel - they scratch up something fierce if it's the aluminium kind. Also their buckings are a little bit meh. Also I think the consensus is that the AA unit is better than the Airsoft Pro one, but the AP one is better than stock so there's that.
  17. I guess 2012 until 2014? That seems to be when most people were having gripes about the walk-in service.
  18. That's reasonable and probably goes hand-in-hand with the below. Weren't the old staff really rude and condescending to walk-ins and for online purchases/support? That's what the first page of this thread said but that seemed to change. Did the staff change too?
  19. I have no idea which is best, but frankly the designs are all similar - just get what's available as it'll be far better than the stock unit. May want to check if it fits the DAS - should do, but tolerances can change between the WA clones (Prime being a good example of this). Didn't think you had a WA by the way - basically unavailable anywhere new these days and an awful option for anyone but the most dedicated collector. Would certainly triple check that compatibility though knowing how different the DAS is from the GBBR models. Also, isn't the DAS EBB and pretty new? Why on earth did they go for the WA cut?
  20. Ya need to research more then when it comes to your purchases - WA platforms are absolute arse unless they're really done properly because it's an ancient design. I took 15 minutes and looked into the Iron Airsoft hop unit to see if there were any clones (using gasguns.info and Google mostly). Turns out Begadi makes a direct clone of the Iron Airsoft/Prime that's compatible and in stock: http://begadishop.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=6493 Also 5KU do one if you can find one in stock. What you won't find anymore is WA cuts from a good manufacturer - they're highly niche and an overall inferior barrel design for a GBBR because of the really stupid, long unbridged window. The buckings for them are equally naff as a result.
  21. I think I got mine through ShooterCBGear, but it was a long while ago. I remember it being hard to get in the UK, however. Shame the gasguns.info forum is relatively dead really, but you might find more info on there.
