  1. ZeroOne have a custom build service, they should be able to sort you out, I've seen something about an SR25 done by them before. They locked it to semi but included a switch (hidden in the stock I think) to allow a burst of auto for when the gear box locked up.
  2. I've looked up any near me and they're a bit too far to be traveling. (not technically speaking, but it takes hours to get anywhere in London) So going to wait till I move back to Glasgow
  3. Sorry Ian, I've been away and have only just seen this ( came back to an absurd amount of notifications so didn't go through everything). The machine is being stored at my sisters at the moment, if I get some pics during the week of it do you think you'd be able to tell visually?
  4. Trouble is finding someone to play with if you're only a secret/part time geek like myself
  5. Never realised how long the video was when I watched it lol. I was totally engrossed.
  6. Aye, that's Bolt Action James. I like the rules and game itself, just not the miniatures. I can't help but find them somewhat cartoony and unrealistic, maybe its just me being awkward. I'd also prefer to use a more commonly available scale like 1/35 or 1/72 as opposed to 28mm so I can customize my army more easily (and cheaper!)
  7. Bolt Action & Flames of war to name the two I'm familiar with I just don't like their models, so I'm going to buy a bolt action rule book and use minatures of my own choice! Thanks Lozart, might have to treat myself to a Tiger!
  8. Been looking into Wargaming aswell as possibly starting Re-enacting/WW2 airsoft. I know this one off by heart as well as panzerlied, shame I have no idea what I'm singing!
  9. Reviving this thread- Does anyone play any of the WW2 war games? Which brands do you prefer for WW2 models? Scales? If i were to give a proper go of this, could someone with some experience point me in the direction of necessary starter kit? ( I have brushes and some crap paints, sprue cutters and stanley knives, something like a "Paint pack" which has a lot of generic colours i.e German infantry colours or something like that?)
  10. Do any of you lads have any knowledge RE old school metal sewing machines? Been looking into getting into Tactical Sewing, spotted an old machine and antique sewing machine table at a bootsale. Thought to myself I'll nab that and save £300. Problem is, whilst I can tell it is up to the job, it is lacking a needle and any markings for me to identify it by. The bloke in the sewing shop says he needs to know which machine it is to sell me the right needle, are they proprietary? If I posted up a pic would anyone be able to ID it?
  11. Anyone else like Root beer or Dr pepper? I'm literally the only person I know who likes either.

      THE FNG

Love both but root beer is my all time fave! I sometimes buy crates onf 30 cans in off ebay!

Dr Pepper isn't strictly a root beer. It IS the Devils piss though.

It's flammable too, so next time someone asks what's the worst that can happen just say "third degree burns".

I like Dr Pepper but not root beer :)

  12. this may seem silly, but how have you put the bb's in? I think they need to be pushed in properly, to seat in the "magazine" like loading a TM revolver.
  13. Eye protection (Goggles or mask), Combat boots and Knee pads in that order. Gloves help with blisters but if I had to pick just three things and turn up in any old clothes I want those, not only for safety but comfort also. I'm a more confident diving about with ankle support or taking a knee when I've got a lot of weight on my back if I'm wearing the proper stuff. EDIT: Ninja'd by Mack. Didn't see your post mate.
  14. From what I've seen in threads when researching force recon , he looks Marsoc'ish to me. They often share threads and I don't really pay attention to anyone not in Marpat as a result . He could be a CCT? I think Mack did a similar load out but my memory is fuzzy. Could always be an airsofter! That said on my phone I can't see whether his arm patch is the medical logo or a bull. If it's the former he may be a pj?
  15. Ah when you put it that way I guess... Best get that m4 spring changed so I can sort my ukara and get a nice ak74m! Probably have a load of questions for you soon Ian !
  16. Grr, Ian. Between you and the "Russian military airsoft loads outs UK" FB page I'm finding it increasingly difficult not to start a Russian load out. The worrying fact that I'm about 4/5 pouches away from a "finished" USMC FR load out do not make it any easier!
  17. Oil based pomades are the devil incarnate. 6 shampoo washes, 2 washing up liquid washes and even a go with shower gel and it still hasn't come out of my hair. Not exagerating when they say "long hold"

For a cheaper alternative try adding a tablespoon of olive oil to a a palm full of fairy, and just enough water to make it into a lather. That dax works amazingly well. Remember to condition afterwards.

Sounds like there's an art to hair styling...

  18. Don't know if it's just my eyes but I think Zeroone may have just cocked up and Photoshopped the trigger off by accident. I can't see one lol.
  19. I know what you mean (TWA). I think a good compromise would be to built a MOUT style "kill house" out of plywood on a bit of land similar to the village they have. With some tweaking and careful planning the village could be very very good. The only problem I've found is a lot of the firing points in the buildings are for the most part useless. There is a big building towards the end where the caravan is which can be quite good for CQB but because all the other buildings are single rooms it's just a matter of running in and seeing who shoots who first lol.
  20. It was a combination of everything, was actually sad to complete it. Unity just doesn't compare at all in my mind. I really bought into the story and character of ACBF. Anyway- you can't stop the funk!
