  1. Great to see someone else getting into USMC kit! I like the look you're going for will be great to see it come together. I'm looking at doing a Scout sniper loadout in future as I have a lot of gear for my Force recon kit. Jarhead is also a reason I want to do a Scout Sniper kit
  2. There's no such thing as a UKARA Licence. It's a scheme set up by retailers to provide skirmishers a defence so they can buy RIF's. Calling it a Licence is easier, but taboo because it's considered the first step towards us actually having to get licences .
  3. When I clicked on the thread and it was all buffering/loading that image went past my screen really quick and I thought someone had made a glock out of lego
  4. ak74 495mm vs m14's 530mm. probably no where a enough to make a difference but it's still longer lol. It's the G&G's hop that makes it so magical I think. I just remember be gobsmacked by the range when I had mine.
  5. The range on the G&G m14's is absoulutely absurd lol. If the Cyma doesn't work out get one of those.
  6. I was born in Izhmash factory in Russia. Thirteen year old capitalist order Russian Sniper on dark web and Sergei arrive in box. Thirteen year old not happy with this, he leave me at site. Now Sergei make living as professional soft air marksman. Jokes aside, I think I was aware of airsoft from a young age due to scoutthedoggie's youtube channel, I'd had a JG bar10 for my 11th birthday without knowing about forums, it broke so I binned it, turned out to be the trigger sear. Then got a TM colt python for my 13th. fast foward to when I was 16, I had some extra money, thought I'm big enough now to go to one of these sites by myself and see if I like the game. Long story short spent £500 or so on gear before I'd even been, turned up at site, loved it, decided I wanted a loadout based on a real unit, sold all my stuff then spent over a grand to get where I am now, which is as usualy, inbetween bloody loadouts lol.
  7. Well I've started a blog and just made my first post, let me know what you guys think and please follow/share it ( not sure how that works). Would be nice to know people are going to read it! http://teddybhoyairsoft.blogspot.co.uk/

Good stuff, esp for 1st go. With blogs it's def a hard to find balance between personal and informative, and how specific the topic is. Essentially to provide enough information/statistics etc to not be waffling on, but keep it personal enough to not be a cold fact-sheet. you said it's not a review, but all blogs are a review of sorts. I'd suggest a little bit more info/stats and would been perfect. as for getting people to follow it, only way is to shamelessly promote it :)

Thanks for the Feedback Colonel! I must admit I did find it hard to stay on topic with the webbing and instead veered off and ended up re-writing the whole post to be about it's links to my start in airsoft as I was well aware I couldn't remember enough for a review that would do the platform justice. I'll re-visit the topic from a review perspective when I get my hands on a set again!

  8. I'd get the vaseline out if I was you. Being petroleum based it might eat into your seals. Even if it doesn't it's nasty stuff once it gets dirt in it, will probably cause jams rather than lubricate it lol!
  9. Can of compressed air and an old toothbrush depending on how thick/set it is
  10. Can't find anyone by the username of JR0210 on the members list bud.
  11. Got to feel like shooting someone in the face after that
  12. Waiting for Elder Scrolls : Online to update so I can connect to the server. Feels like forever, just want to try it already :P

  13. If you're ex forces mate you'll piss all over the other snipers by knowing about field craft properly
  14. Sorry to hear that mate. Not all gruntwork though, a lot of them specilaise in logistics and risk analysis stuff so there may be a job out there with a medical you could pass and a hint of military life you miss?
  15. Private Military Contractor(s). Like Blackwater in the states.
  16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbO2_077ixs
  17. Join a PMC? I hear the Brit companies pretty much have a monoply on shipping contracts so it'll just entail taking pot shots at Skiffs?
  18. I know the feeling. Last time I was as a site I looked around and thought to myself, "Wtf am I doing here" and it dawned on me how literal it is that we are "playing soldiers", felt a bit embarrassed with myself to be honest. Can't stop buying kit for my Force Recon loadout though, I think the lack of play over the years and building the loadout means i've turned into a gear collector instead of an airsofter without even realising.
  19. Just to clarify, we are talking about the m60 right?
  20. Dont know what head the Z -tacticals use Ian but this might be of some use : http://www.rakuten.co.uk/shop/bossdeals/product/885370669985/?sku=885370669985&scid=stylight%26_%24ja%3Dtsid%3A71108|kw%3Apc_ebay_uk|cgn%3Apc_ebay_uk&sclid=a_pla_uk On a side note, you could invent the adaptor and make a fortune from all the "keyboard Warriors" looking to get tactical in the living room lol
