  1. I wear a UBACS with a chest rig all the time, I don't ever use a plate carrier (too darn hot!). I have never had one of these mythic gear heads complain about my loadout even when its just a jacket or whatever, I am not convinced this mythical stereotype person exists in any real numbers.

You can play in just some shorts, a T shirt and a pair of flip flops and no one cares.

One thing to note about UBACs however is that the body covering material is quite thin compared to your usual camo clothing. The hits will hurt quite a bit more as a result. I did a UBACs in Bunker 51 one night and came out looking like a piñata after a beating all across my body.

Likewise, I've been playing over 5 years and I'm still yet to meet these mythical gear heads who hate other people choice of clothing. I have however seen plenty of posts on forums of people complaining about gear heads wearing the latest kit :s

  2. I think if people pay £30 to airsoft, they've paid to airsoft as they want...

In terms of 'motivating' people... I don't approve of anybody standing around shouting, yelling, or otherwise trying to bully(!) people into being as active as they feel, deem and demand they be.

My mother is allowed to shout at me, my girlfriend when Ive genuinely done something wrong, but other than that - f*ck off if you think you got some right to yell at me just because you're frustrated at a games progress. Learn to chill.

By all means, calmly explain the importance of pushing up, inform players who can't see the necessity in attacking, educate people why a high tempo is crucial for a win and so on, but if they opt not to heed your words - so be it - leave them to it... That's their prerogative.

There is a difference between trying to lead others, and just being a loud bossy bastard.

New players especially need encouragement, information and support. They are newbies in a sport - not green grunts in anybody's personal LZ.

A good site will know all of this. Their marshals will try and keep games moving themselves, will help players to get stuck in, and vitally - will protect them from the site gob who thinks he's General Patton.

  3. I don't have a UKARA. Correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is you are allowed to purchase these is they are 50% coloured? And why would customs get involved if they are legal?

If you import something from outside the EU, you have to pay customs duty on top of what you have already paid, most likely will have to pay a handling fee aswell to the courier.

  4. Fair enough then! I'd imagine you'll still have the dreaded parcelforce handling fee though; but otherwise, go for it in that case!

(Might be worth messaging them & seeing if they'll drop it to 320/330 instead though; in case you decide to get a TBB at a later date).

Nope, They cant charge you a handling fee as they arent paying any customs duty for you. What you see is what you pay with Taiwangun.

  5. I like the idea of a mag don't get me wrong, I just can't see how 9mm blanks would work in a real mag due to the lip they have. They aren't smooth on the bottom as they are designed for revolvers as far as I know. But if someone could show me a video of them being loaded and unloaded from a RS mag I may well change

    Seen it on another forum

  6. lol, that's a good'un for sure.

I've seen L85s with CASVs and that actually works, but that's just hilarious. I'm just really really hoping it is a deliberate troll, I mean I'm sure it its, but the 1% chance its' not does make me wonder about what the person might've been thinking/smoking.

Apparently on the inside its a Marlin 795
