  1. And Afghanistan. If it came to that kinda thing the US would end up in civil war again and an awful lot of the military would be on the 2a/republican/whatever side, this 'lol drones vs rifle' thing is a very vert short sighted commentary which excludes both a vital understanding of military forces historically fighting indigenous people and the actual political lay of the land in America. Unless you carpet bomb whole populations you can't easily defeat an enemy who can instantly switch between combatant and non-combatant and militaries are not homogenous, blindly obedient blobs made up of mindless robots devoid of opinions and that's especially true in the US. Not that it's anything like clear cut. The confederacy lost because they were the much smaller belligerent with an economy based in large part on slavery and a lot of cotton exports and afaik every foreign power that got involved sided with the Union and stopped buying said cotton along with blockading the Confederate ports, which was pretty crippling with the south having almost no domestic arms manufacture and not much arable land. Who knows where the lines would be drawn if the same thing happened now and which other countries would potentially get involved. Either way the fact is a war would cost many more lives than common civilian ownership of firearms for decades and all compressed in to a few years of unimaginable violence, not to mention the inevitable mass suffering, misery and destruction.
  2. UKAC alone had what, 20k or something people in it?
  3. Someone might have one in a parts bin so post anywhere you legally can to ask. But be careful with assuming every one you come across is the same thread or diameter that's compatible with the parts you own - they may well not be.
  4. No that's perfectly acceptable, the Mars is a trash tier chocolate bar for people with no taste or appreciation for anything truly good in this world.
  5. In airsoft? Yeah we all need the link or at least the name of the show.
  6. Yeah a real SMG with low power rounds in a situation where you really need to kill the guy fast because he's bloody close. 1 bb = dead at any range from any type of RIF.
  7. Sorry but that is not the case let's not spread misinformation here. UTM: The projectile part is definitely nothing like a normal/typical FMJ bullet.
  8. Lucas is what you get if you take a kid that has the attitude of loving everything tacticool and would end up airsofting if they were in most other countries, but at a young age they get a high paying job quite high up in a very successful company started by a rich family and live in America so have comparatively easy access to the fun guns - said kid also probably first took interest in tactical stuff around the time the Magpul DVDs were all the rage. Not a dig, only met him very briefly once, just a likely course of events. Airsoft mostly does a terrible job presenting itself online these days which doesn't help, though it's never been great. Only takes one unfortunately awkward selfie of an overweight player in some weird pose with their first loadout or a delusion milsimmer to go viral around the gun pages/accounts and the stereotypes cements itself further. In the US there's a lot more guns than people we know that, I don't have a stat for the amount of airsoft weapons that exist CONUS but it'll definitely be a shit load less; apart from anything airsoft has existed far less time than firearms. So you can easily see given what people will be exposed to why they end up taking the viewpoints that they do. I think, overall, the worlds are veeeery slowly merging and crossing over to a greater extent, have been the past 20 years or so, but it's a mega slow process. Most of the legit instructors and large online presences are reticent to mention it though and tend to use the term to reference very low grade parts/accessories.
  9. Jesus.. that's a well earned reputation right there. Absolute embodiment of the opposite of what the game is meant to be about. Shame social media tends to reward that kinda thing; more views = more exposure/suggestions = more views = more subs/followers etc, snowball. Just rinsing that whole mag in to a guy, what he shouts back at the end is pretty damn restrained and surprisingly polite and to stand there and go 'ooh salty' to the camera "it's a burst"... never heard such objectively clear bs in my life.
  10. This advert is COMPLETED!

If you’re after actual TM snappy recoil and high end, reliable performance but in a heavy metal gun… this is the only way I’ve ever found to combine the two. This pistol was built my Mike Cripps of Elite Shooting Centre fame back when he did 1911s as well as 2011s, though he stopped with the single stacks some years ago now to focus on the competitive sport market so this is somewhat a rarity now in that respect. The metal kit is the HurricanE Elite Kimber Covert II, aluminium not steel hence why it’s actually still a very skirmishable gun. The internals are all TM, which again contributes to the aforementioned functionality; I believe the base gun was the MEU model. The only change to the original metal kit is the outer barrel, which is taken from a HurricanE Desert Warrior kit. Fits perfectly. It’s been fitted with a set of these RS grips (with beveled bottom and thumb notch optional extras) I imported from the US not long after buying the gun: https://vzgrips.com/products/1911-simonich-gunner-full-size-grips.html It has to be said these are quite aggressive and bitey grips, made from G10, if you like to play pistol all day and never ever wear gloves you’d maybe want to replace these or sand them lightly. VZ also seem to have discontinued the tan colour I have here. Original purchase price for the gun from Mike (with some nasty TM faux-wood plastic 1911A1 grips) was £400, then I added the RS VZ Grips. It has been through 2-3 skirmishes though and got a couple of dings to the paint, hence the current asking price. Please look very very carefully at the attached pictures if you are interested. Total usage is probably in the region of 150 bbs at a guess, could be less. Unless you want to collect from Harrow or Wallingford this won’t come with a mag, unless someone can show me a legit screenshot of the rules from a courier that will take pressurised gas containers. If anyone does collect though I’ll include a TM 1911 or MEU mag and can add more for £10/ea extra. Otherwise, the price includes paypal and P&P.

    £190

  11. Well, sprititus don't care about air tanks for obvious reasons, but go to wtfidea.com and you'll be sorted in that regard I think. Great gear company that started out in paintball.
  12. *Maybe* for competition use, but otherwise yeah makes zero sense lol. Their distributors aren't really that high on their list even in the US so that could be a while much as I hate to say it. I am admittedly kinda fortunate through both having an address over there to use and knowing the owners (not that I get any free stuff by any stretch).
  13. Obviously the tigerstripe fashion was last year so I'm late to the game but it'll be ok. Did get asked to censor 1 thing by a company (for now) so apologies for the black blob haha. Best thing I did was replace my really old pre-licensed VFC 'Stark' G17s with a TM Gen 4, bone stock, it feels toyish as hell by comparison but man it runs like a german train and shoots the lights out. I started with TM pistols when I first got in to the game, stayed from the path some years ago with some VFCs (when they were truly mediocre at best) and going back feels gooood.
  14. The rifle is an FN FNC, think the game/G&G versions are Swedish mil specific configs(ish).
  15. I'm sure that's quite possibly part of it, but it's likely a lot of the price was down to the fact they would have had (maybe) a couple of hundred made and tiny production quantities like that are going to incur very high prices. If anyone has the inside track at RW and knows different for a fact I'd be interested to hear it, but the aforementioned is the general rule in manufacturing.
  16. Has to be said that I think what people really want is a nice spring No4 and I never looked before now but I'm amazed the red wolf cost that much given the many notorious errors and quality issues. Well.. not amazed, this is the airsoft world, we expect perfection for pennies in tiny production quantities and some of the manufacturers are pretty clueless, but anyway. Hopefully if S&T can use a fair amount of these same parts they could also do a No4 after this without too much extra difficulty.
  17. So the EU trade agreement is no VAT on imports, but they do have customs duty now, which starts on imports of £135 last I checked. I'd like to hope that's just a temporary rule since the system's so backlogged right now perhaps, but legally I don't know of a reason for it. Be interested to hear one, there's nothing in their terms of service. Doesn't matter to me I buy either within the UK or from the US or Hong Kong but it's always good to know these things to keep options open in the future.
  18. That was just getting going as covid hit, real kicker. I haven't heard the specs on it from them, but I'd be confident they would've put in IR stuff powerful enough to actually be useful at airsoft ranges, but at safe power levels. Which for me would be a solid buy right away because I've owned a PVS-14 and IR SureFire light for years but trying to aim without a laser is definitely sub optimal and I don't like the looks of literally anything else out on the market really.
  19. Yeah TM came out many years later than all the WA systems with totally different mags, no idea how those are getting mixed up.
  20. The PTS MTEK is to me an amazing option, those things are as good as the legit Ops-Core bump helmets to my mind, except you can actually get them in the UK and far cheaper. The owner of the company told me they'd be climbing/impact rated if they used real suspension systems and pads because the shell is that good, but the replica straps and pads haven't gone through the expensive lab tests required. I know with the real MTEKs the shells are only one size i.e. XL and far as I know the PTS copies that accurately. I'd imagine the price isn't for everyone but that's the kinda lid you can buy once and use for decades of airsoft. Also super high cut around the ears like the latest O-C SF Ballistics which means the best possible clearance around electronic ear pro for max comfort/min head crushing.
  21. Cheers for the input guys, definitely the right kinda stuff. I suppose you could say fool people in the sense that I want people looking at the pictures who own the real thing to at least not immediately think 'ew cheap clone' but equally I'm not trying to pretend I've got something I don't, it's literally just to get the right aesthetic. I spend more time taking pictures than shots these days, my RIFs are just one of my favourite subjects for photography. Some of it is a little more than I'd want to spend for 'things' to hang on the pic rail for photos, but there's some good options on there. Like this one for example, pretty much a perfect example for my purposes (assuming they've edited out the trades) - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001593031578.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.6ff33fc13yavfp&algo_pvid=93c721d7-b46e-4cc3-9352-38e9c52b48e4&algo_expid=93c721d7-b46e-4cc3-9352-38e9c52b48e4-0&btsid=2100bde716078102897014653e5110&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_
  22. ed - Sure I pressed edit not new post..
  23. What I actually use in games is either point shooting, built-in irons, replica ACOGs or budget RS red dots (mostly primary arms) that can hack being shaken around; but I'm after some replicas just for pics. I know a few of you here are really in to that stuff. Any recommendations on replicas of the latest models of EoTechs, Aimpoint T-2s, any Trijicon stuff etc etc with the most realistic trades and factory stickers etc please. Specifically where to pick them up.
  24. Never heard of/seen them used here myself in any game, but totally standard in the US. So cheap and simple to get I can't see a disadvantage to them; very black and white system for clearly showing current player status.
