  1. I get it, but objectively, publicly displaying a RIF is illegal and there are many instances of people getting seen like that and the police showing up not too long after. The vast majority of the time it's not actually ARU the normal ones just come knocking and ask to check the situation, but obviously there's the possibility. I know how it is on the patch and if you know all your neighbors fair enough, but it only takes one karen to make a mountain out of a mole hill ya know? Just something to be aware of is all, 99% of folks online will query it if they see pics of airsoft out on the street like that.
  2. Very much a badly needed thing after 'airsoft sitemap' decided to do PDF downloads and posters that'll be all be fairly useless within about 12 months. Airbana used to be extremely good and incredibly handy but obviously whoever was running it got bored/left airsoft and it's now a lot less useful. If you can spread the word enough to get some advertisers in order to bring in a little cash such that someone will keep it updated in perpetuity (be it yourself or someone you might hand it to if you leave the game) that'd really be a winner. I've seen a few come and go over the years, the current airsoft ranch one seems lacking in some details too.
  3. Our mil used/issued practice grenades. Be bloody careful they weigh a ton and there's a decent little blast out the base when using the issued fuzes.
  4. My mate over the pond occasionally edging me with pics of stuff I won't get for months.
  5. Just don't buy keymod in 2021, it's dead.
  6. Long as there is something cheap out there vs paying a disproportionate price per ml for dubious claims, that's the main thing. I'd obviously never remove F&L from work so I should know these things but alas.
  7. I've honestly never looked up what firearm specific oils cost commercially, but if I were to guess I'd not be entirely surprised if they've got an unnecessary markup. Fully understand the line of thought behind the above, but a lot of automotive stuff works fine I know for a fact, end of the day, steel is just a common metal and any mineral or synthetic lubricant within sensible limits will work. If you'd use it on a hinge or somewhere on a bike or car and if you've got any mechanical experience with anything at all, you can probably pick out something real cheap from a car parts or DIY shop that'll come in a can big enough to last the rest of your life as far as maintaining anything suitable in airsoft and will cost maybe £10 tops.
  8. Work with someone and figure out how to 3d print most of it and put together a list of the TAG shell/co2 cart adapter/plumbing bits folks would need to finish the launcher and sell that plan set, or just parts packages, or even complete ones. Assuming you're not working towards this already. TAG ammo is mega £$, shells are fragile and even more £$ and the TAG GP-25 is big, bulky, big £$ and very heavy from what I've heard. Something that's small, light, a fair bit cheaper and makes it so that the only real recurring cost is the TAG ammo and the cheap co2 bulbs would be a real nice option.
  9. Even 200 would make for a crowded game in my estimation (take that for whatever you deem it to be worth). Having no idea what the rental for the location and other costs are I couldn't possibly comment on whether this all makes sense, but not for me. At 100-150 it'd be something I'd strongly consider, but certainly not 400. Never attended the NAE/F for the same sort of reasons. They did one at disused theme park years ago which did look good, don't think it had nearly as many people in attendance (iirc) and I'd reckon the usable safe area would've been a fair bit bigger. Wish I'd done it tbh. Credit for securing a really awesome site to play, probably very hard to do.
  10. Literally just the other day I was deeply in thought on how to do a nice replication of their brown 'Mk18' in airsoft form and found that same grip after a fair bit of digging. Real nice choices, was this the base gun? https://www.evike.com/products/27706/
  11. Does that work with HMRC? Not something they'll have known about if I even I don't lol.
  12. Was shipped with UPS so maybe that was pricey, but it was something I was just sent review so I've not got an invoice from the company in order to check. I've had the same thing too in the past where they've used the wrong currency, which is an entirely plausible human error to happen at a customs depot. Haven't heard back from the brokerage. The driver attempted delivery today asking for the £60+ total payment, I just said no thanks and informed him I'd contacted the brokerage. He just said ok and walked back to his truck, be interesting to see what the next steps are.
  13. Looks like they'll attach to anything PALS compatible so they'd work, lot of plastic overhang top and bottom though. If your heart's set then far be it from me, but those are gonna stick out a fair bit compared to pretty much any nylon-only pouch through both the construction of the pouch bodies and the attachment system. You'll end up as quite a wide load and if you went to a more old school bigger/thicker belt to mount big, bulky pouches like those the problem will just be exacerbated. Personally whenever I've tried solid plastic pouches before I found they rattled against each other really badly, were very annoyingly bulky and a surprising hindrance to movement given the size and lack of flexibility in both their construction and mounting. If you look at the pros it's super game-y competition guys that use kydex and the like, military have tried it then always gone back, but obviously that might work if you're mainly playing a fairly open indoor site. Just thoughts.
  14. Not exactly related, but UPS/HMRC being crap: Was sent some nylon kit to review last week, worth $119, get to customs and UPS tell me I need to pay £50.14 just in the 'government fees' part. Real interesting interpretation of the VAT law, have e-mailed their brokerage, can't wait to see how long it takes to fight them on it.
  15. PALS: Tbh I'm not sure I 100% understand the question but all spacings and dimensions should always be equal and the same.
  16. If an Aimpoint T-2 is an instagram fitness model that occasionally posts lingerie pics that thing is the ginger extra plus sized alt girl that sneaks in to your recommendations and you think 'that's different.. probably has a couple thousand follows amongst the more niche audience' but it turns out she actually has over a million. Suits the vector pretty well tbh.
  17. What people probably wanna see on the gram vs how I've actually used it.
  18. Whole bunch of cans of paint and oils (each containing a little compressed gas bomb) directly adjacent to lipo charging area? tf...
  19. Check the file type (usually wanna be .jpg or .png), you can get a pretty big and high quality image (in airsoft terms) at well under 2mb. Also check your upload allowance on here - shown below post when typing on desktop.
  20. Had to double check for myself, but yeah I can't find a confirmed made-by-HK M-LOK forend. Only possibility might be the newest L85A3 handguard but I don't know for sure if HK themselves are manufacturing that (though it does have a big HK logo, so it's probable). HKey makes sense for them financially short term, but not many large forces will want a proprietary system that's different to the direction us and the US are going I'd imagine. For normal folks, my personal opinion is it shouldn't matter too much on your handguard type. Foregrips and bi-pods can be comfortable for some folks, but they're certainly not necessary. The only thing you would ever maybe find utterly essential as a handguard weapon attachment is a white light IF you play super dark indoor areas, in which case if you can't find KeyMod you just use the pic rail along the top and you should still have room to spare for a front BUIS or sight protector (and if it comes down to it.. tape on the light). Lasers and cameras are fluff and unless you've got the weapon to level 69 and unlocked the plastic phallus you should be fine. Obviously it is airsoft so if you just want certain attachments for looks that's fine, handguards are easily swapped on most guns for quad pic or M-LOK aftermarket. There's pretty decent quality stuff around for the cost of 2-3 PTS midcaps.
  21. Bunch of long discontinued stuff mushed together.
  22. Wow ? I knew the rifle grenades were loong gone and the raf and army don't have them anymore, never heard of such a thing as that. The navy still had Lanchester SMGs in to the 70s though so I shouldn't be surprised at these things really.
  23. They are our standard issue 556 blanks yes, but cordite was a thing back in the .303 days. Modern smokeless powder is a very different thing, though people often still say cordite and 'gunpowder' (aka, black powder). Ballastite rounds are so long out of service they'd almost certainly be gnarly and corroded at this point if found in a shed in 2021. Also pretty damn rare in general I'd think, be surprised if more than a few exist even in the army's collection/reference storage and maybe some munitions museums. Been a long time since I've seen a picture of the 556 version but I think they were partially blackened towards the front hence folks sometimes mix them up.
  24. Import VAT and duty have been around forever, there's no such thing as a brexit charge. Makes as much sense as a UKARA license.
