  1. It's running a XT High Torque 22TPA that was in there previously (formally a SHS high torque but it died of death because the pistol grip slipped at some point) and the aforementioned compression kit but excluding that it's completely standard on the inside parts wise, just a reshim. I might have flubbed the hop amount for the picture when I took it to get it perfect 😅, turns out it was sending 0.28s to outer-space and when adjusted properly at the site it was a little too hot at 1.23~ or around about, so I popped the standard spring back inside which has got it shooting around the 1.01J mark with the hop set correctly - I might look into getting a goldilocks spring that's just right when I order a nice little XT tightbore for it [as the accuracy isn't the best from the random 6.03 barrel I stuffed inside] but I'll cross that bridge when we come to it - I'm just happy to have a pew that works again, especially one that my hands have been on and inside!
  2. Thought I'd reply to this thread with a little update - it ended up being the air seal components as mentioned previously, it was leaking a bunch of air through the cylinder head hence the low power. Replaced the air seal stuff with ak2m4's lovely compression kit and the power jumped all the way up from 0.73J to 1.26J. Used it for most of Friday's game just went with absolutely no problems, ran like a trooper. Considering it's the first time I've ever cracked a gearbox, changed things and even attempted my own shimming it didn't end up too bad. Pretty chuffed with it, actually. Img 5411.mp4
  3. I had a little plink on the Friday just gone with one somebody had at the site. It's suprisingly pretty zippy and satisfying to use - I'd imagine it'd be a great alternative to your average GBB pistol during the colder months or if you just want 'a pistol that works' but with a little more soul than your average NBB/AEP, plus it's a grach which is extra bonus points
  4. My SR-25 came back from getting the works over at Negative Airsoft and he was kind enough to sell me this lovely PTS Magpul PRS to go alongside so battery changes aren't as much of a pain in the ass. Fires lovely, the perun clicker is awesome and I just can't wait to use the thing!
  5. I've had my eyes on 18airsoft for ages now but was just too nervous to pull the trigger - do let me know how you get on! I've wanted one of the E&C glocks from there for ages because the prices just seem insane and honestly way too good to be true
  6. I wonder if their 17/18s are modern TM spec or if it's still .45 glock sized so 17 holsters won't fit - if they were properly to scale so they fit holsters I'd get a 17 in a heartbeat, love me some cheap metal slide trades.
  7. https://projectairsoft.co.uk/products/utr45-m917g-drum-magazine As far as I know this is the only 'other' UTR magazine I've seen, although apparently it takes G&G PCG45 mags too? Haven't tried anything apart from the stock magazines and while they've been fine for me I'm not exactly running fast RPS or anything. This video from JHQ has a pretty spicy DSG setup that's still running the standard mags and they seem to be keeping up okay?
  8. Took down my first V2 today, swapped over the knackered compression parts from my UTR's jam and even tried my hand at reshimming - and it works! Made up, honestly - thought it'd be a disaster but I'm absolutely buzzing - chronoing tomorrow to see how much it's jumped up!

Now you get to take it all apart again 🙂

Quick change spring as standard on these little DEs, fortunately! Turns out I accidently threw in a massive spring instead of the one that orginally came out of it - it's still a little spicy but with the hop set it settles right down. Compression parts are awesome - gonna order another set for a friend's CYMA CAR-15 I've suddenly got the confidence to ''fix'' or fuck around with inside lol (do need a new cyma mosfet board though, trigger is knackered)

      ak2m4

thanks, yeah the compression set is great at bringing aeg's back to life.  Springs are a little more tricky to get right for sure.

  9. Me and a mate have been using this for our CYMA and Arcturus AKs for the past 8 or so months with no issues: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223829128666?var=522572967163 Seeing as an E&L I took in for a friend's magazines fit in my CYMA fine, I'm assuming this'll work with E&L mags too?
  10. Honestly I was going to go full mongoloid and go beta C mag + UGL with the hensolt G36A1 sight because I hate ergonomics, light weight and sights that aren't terrible, just couldn't be bothered paying for the mag at the moment and didn't fancy the marui tax for the manual winding ones
  11. I've wanted a M320 for my G36K/A1 for the longest time - how's the plastic feel? Would be a shame to lose the bipod but it'd be awesome if it stopped my little venerable plastic JG sqeaking so much when you're holding it
  12. Could try and connect them using bluestacks? Emulate an android install and go from there?
  13. Currently bollocks deep on trying to get a mate's LCT RPK he purchased second hand with lots of work done to, way above my paygrade but we hope for the best lol

Turns out it's a Negative Airsoft build from about two years ago, detailed in this video so I'm going to gingerly toptoe around all the work and hope pressing the jefftron's reset button brings it back to life 😅

Not too sure what's up with it, but it's not looking too good. When a battery's plugged in it's still completely unresponsive, not even a sensor check (the motor's also in), only thing that would point to according to jefftron's manual is that the fuse is gone, but from the looks of it...

...Fuse looks alright to me. Has the leviathan pulled a leviathan and died of death?

      DerDer

Would be probably be worth it trying another fuse. Also might be worth investigating the connection to the battery.

  14. Awesome to hear - what size did you end up getting if you don't mind me asking? I tried on a friend's DCS last sunday and it was a little snug on me (but he is also much younger and much skinnier than me lol) but that could've just been the way he's adjusted it to himself (medium size) Exactly what my friend I tried it on said - they do sales all the time so just wait. Guess I'm going to have to open another pay in three haha
  15. Ordered a gearworks/macaron from the site recently for the MP5 and while it was working great the nub wasn't playing nice [because MP5 hop units are a pain in the ass] and I ended up cutting it to fit on the gameday and it ended up all pissed (was on the bench outside before playing so it wasn't the best job 😅), is there a slightly less wide nub you'd reccomend or would it be a good idea to just order a fresh gearworks/XT nub and actually cut it straight? Cheers

Planning on doing a order of a few bits for delving inside one of the pews because a jam's knackered the airseal stuff inside so I'll let you know - heart of gold you've got by the way haha, appreciate it

Just recieved my order today, probably should've clarified it was about this post rather than putting a random message about a stanley knife haha, appreciate it bud 😅

AHH ok lol.  I get lots of orders from guys on the forum but they use their real names so never really know who anyone is.  Internet animosity just as it should be 😄

  16. I ordered one of the WADSN PTTs from ali and it's been working great, just had to return the pair of Not Comtac IIs because I bought the non active version so it was just a microphone/headset and I couldn't hear anything with them on 😅, will order the slightly more expensive ones from there when I get the spondoolies in. Scope packaging gave me a good laugh. It is not scope. It is Vision King
  17. It's less them sending the wrong item, more refering the asked for item in the parts diagram as the HK45CT mag catch which I assumed was just the same as the USP if they're saying it was - there's no point kicking up a fuss over a ten quid part that'll cost even more to return or whatever even if it's a little frustrating
  18. MLEMart stuff arrived today. Fifty-two great british pounds. Or, $486.02 HKD. Not a single thing fit properly or was even needed in the end (The USP wasn't saved by a new piston head, detent or hammer spring. Still light strikes a single time into venting out all the gas. Think the nozzle return spring's goosed because it doesn't flick back into place very authoritatively, and the new mag catch fits pretty awfully because I think they gave me a HK45CT one instead of the USP 9mm/full size 😐) Absolutely gutted. Cocking handle's going if anybody needs or wants it. Will fit the VFC gas MP5 (obviously) and apparently one of the AEGs although not the one CYMA copied for the CM.041 (which this was to replace 😅)
  19. Amazing thread, tickled me a lot actually hahaha
  20. Against my better judgement I've prepped the gas Golden Eagle 870 for sunday. God help me.

Honestly, even though it was doing looney tunes outlines around people it was a blast honestly, we've only just had work done on our CQB part of our site recently and they're getting a bunch of cheap springer shotguns in to do shotgun/pistol only games in there so I thought I'd give it a go early, apart from the stock trying it's hardest to leak (long flathead 'm4 buffer tube screwdriver mate' to the rescue) things went perfectly fine, which was a suprise

I'd love to do one up eventually though, get the longer barrels, the high output valves, the posh modify gas tanks, shim the hop so it can hop 0.28s etc but seeing as HPA's disallowed at our site there's no point really going crazy with it because the gas shotties are just limited without an air line meaning it just works 40% of the time rather than 100% lol

Good to hear! I probably should give mine a second chance then. As ,much as I love the idea of making it work, it just doesn't seem to be able to apply any appreciable hop to even .2s, and the spread is wild. I've cleaned the barrels and fixed hops gently with alcohol soaked patches in case they were covered in grease/oil, but no difference....

Yes, mine was wildly leaking from new - I had to remove the buffer tube (mine has the M4 type stock), then re-lube the o rings and re-tighten. I'm not shy about taking things apart (albeit the M14 was admittedly a stretch), but I'm told that shotguns are a bit of a nightmare to strip down!

Yeah, the M870s are pretty notorious for being swiss watches with a thousand hair thick springs that love just pinging across the room never to be seen again - I got PTSD from the last time I took mine apart because my cylinder was a little loose and I just couldn't get the thing back together for the longest time and ended up getting a mate to pop it back together because I was losing my head after it just wouldn't play nice lmao

At least with the GEs you always have the option of just buying another one if you royally cock it up, and even then you're still under the price of a new TM one lol

  21. Can't even begin to imagine the amount of money I've pissed this week ordering stuff for Sunday's game. So many bits and bobs it's unreal, little wanky items from a million different places and it's cost me a fortune. XC2 from ali, muzzlebreak, new trigger assembly and magpul grippy-things from Milspec around the corner. Found a great deal on a Blackhawk Sepra Level 3 light bearing holster for it too... ...which doesn't fit because the geniuses over in Tokyo decided to fatten up their 18s and WE copied their homework a bit too closely. Guess it'll be around if I ever muster up the courage for a VFC or GHK which I'm assuming are actually to scale. Shame, but considering the price being so good it was worth a go. Also got a claw mount for the MP5 (ali) alongside some spare straight mags from DCA (unfortunately not the cool riveted ones! didn't know they did them!) so I've got a full combat load of around five magazines plus somewhere to mount the HW XPS for Sunday, considering the UTR's hurt, the AK won't go into semi, and the G36 won't feed ammo properly. Airsoft! Also decided to grab a pair of Laylax 'high bullet' speedloaders from Land Warrior which I re-lubed because they sounded awful. Very satisfying. Also spent a bomb at MLEMart to get parts for the VFC USP working again, alongside a replacement cocking handle for the MP5 as the CYMA's just a clone of the VFC AEG. And a bunch of fake WADSN goodies from ali including a PTT button and a set of jarg Comtacs (that are the wrong version and will be returned soon) And a baseplate o-ring repair kit from Lees Precision. Think that's everything. Jesus Christ. I've got nothing left.
  22. That'd be awesome - I ended up holding off for now and accidently ordered a bunch of other tat instead so it'll be a while before I end up making a decision so a second-hand review would be much appreciated
  23. I think I'll get around to this eventually when I can borrow some tools from a friend but it might be above my paygrade consideirng I'm a complete ape with hand tools, let alone power 😅 Ordered a VFC AEG/GBB replacement off MLEMart to tide me over until then, as the CM041 is a copy of the VFC MP5 and the exploded diagrams seem to match up part wise. I'll be soft and delicate with the replacement until I get around to tapping the snapped one with a dowel pin so I can go back to roughhousing. I was going to just give up and get the actually available CYMA replacement/'upgrade part', but.. look at the fucking thing 🤢
  24. I was getting average (but reliable) performance stock so decided to try the ZCI plastic rotary unit alongside a ML Macaron + gearworks omega nub, and while the performance was much better it just really struggled to feed for whatever reason. I was assuming that other people had modified their units to fit hence the request. I did change the barrel over to a longer 6.03 (320mm) brass barrel out of a fucked second hand LT-52 I had lying around instead of using the standard 230mm 6.10 that comes as standard when I changed the hop and bucking, however - although since I put the old hop unit back in it's started feeding flawlessly again even with said barrel and rubber (the nub is internally fixed with the standard unit so I couldn't try the gearworks nub in there unfortunately) So yeah, not really sure. Airsoft will be airsoft. If you ever end up taking yours apart for a clean or something similar I'd be interested to see what yours looks like to see if there's anything glaring that I could've missed
  25. Had a pretty catatrophic BB clog/jam on Sunday's game day with the UTR after it was struggling to feed with the ZCI plastic M4 unit that I put in it alongside a longer 6.03 and a ML macaron, and ever since clearing the jam of around 10+ BBs through the hop-end of the barrel caused by an unlucky shitty BB the power's dropped by almost half, even with the hop completely off and even with changing back to the original hop unit to fix the feeding issue for now - any ideas? (around 1.04J to 0.633-0.673, varies pretty widly - feeding has resumed back to normal since changing back over to the standard intergral nub DE unit though) Was thinking the jam and the very few amount of rounds through it not knowing it was jammed [as it was struggling to feed, originally just thought it was that before I realised it had clogged] has done something gearbox wise, maybe some sort of damage to the nozzle or other air seal compotents? It seems to cycle perfectly fine still and the falcon-fire hasn't started beeping or getting angry yet so I'm assuming the gears are good still. Any pointers would be appreciated - I'm really not looking forward to opening the thing up though. Considering that this was my workhorse "it just works" ''backup'' gun I'm a little mad at myself for tinkering with it and seemingly fucking it up, but I guess you can't make an omlette without a few eggs rotting, or something along the lines. And things were going so well.. EDIT: Decided to throw in my desperate attempts to try and fix the feeding problem with the ZCI unit via trial and error here for good measure. If anybody's managed to change their UTR over successfully, please do tell what you've modified to get it to play nice, cheers. I'll take a second stab at it again if I can get this power problem figured out. Hop completely off in all tests , 11.1v 1400 mAH, 0.28g Warhead Delta BBs
