  1. In his weak defence, ASG specifies a very low energy rating itself. https://actionsportgames.com/en-gb/productcatalog/products/guns/rifles/ds4-carbine My biggest issue is the seller's lack of openness that just because it is a plinker, that doesn't mean it's skirmishable. Some poor not so knowledgeable newbie may not understand they're not getting a bargain but being exploited. I guess it's the CYMA CM.507 but as you said, his item description is as helpful as a bunghole on your elbow.
  2. I want Angela Scanlon to deliver my next RIF purchases on a silver platter with her Irish charm. I want Sydney Sweeney to do my chrono tests and only mine at each skirmish I go to. In all seriousness, if you won't disclose who you work for or what you're getting out of what half-reads like a Chat GPT response, I don't think you should be surprised if there are sarcastic or suspicious replies. What is a "large airsoft company"? A site manager? A retailer? A distributor/reseller? What do you get out of this?
  3. Noise and keeping BBs within the boundaries of your property aren't the only concerns. The jaded git that I've become would think some busybody neighbours may get the wrong idea if they see you in your garden with what appears to be a real gun then report you without speaking to you first to clear any misunderstanding because of this culture of fear the media has driven the UK into.
  4. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/37434-air-soft-rifle The seller is pretty divorced from reality if he thinks his two-tone is worth £20 more than retail for the RIF alternative. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/cyma-cm-507-ar-15-airsoft-aeg-assault-rifle
  5. I am with airsoft welcoming all but speedsofters who abuse abuse semi-only rules in CQB are a bane that keep me away from airsoft sites that accommodate them.
  6. Our man who was dreaming of his overpriced and deceitful G&G gun is back with another dream. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/37379-mk18-gbbr He's not declared the brand so I suspect that it's the CYMA/EMG Daniel Defense version of the Mk 18, which is a couple of hundred quid less expensive than TM's version. I priced up the other bits I can see from and in total I've got ~£770 for the CYMA Mk18, two additional STANAG mags, the Theta Optics RDS, a DBAL-A2 & torch and a mock suppressor, all brand new. From which body cavity did he pull £780 for all of this gear used? I'll put my hand up if I've got the gun and pricing wrong.
  7. Is that word round the campfire or from the developer or webmaster? It was down at least a year ago and came back so I'd wait to see what the actual outcome is. I assume it was taken down because of the scams that sellers were hit by. As I understand it, it's run by a one-man army who worked on it in his spare time. He doesn't seem to respond to communications, not just with the recent spam but where there are/were some spammers/scammers who advertised this self help and general snake oil shite.
  8. All I can say is...
  9. As Chev alluded to, you should definitely complement a hammer spring upgrade with a recoil spring upgrade.
  10. Very gas efficient. I went through 8 "Oreos" of BBs and it ran out of CO2 on the 9th. I was able to lift 0.28g BBs on a 20m range when I tweaked the hop-up. Apparently with Gen 1, you will struggle to lift more than 0.25g to the same distance.
  11. I have one (Gen 2) because I wanted something a bit different as a collector's piece and I bought it knowing it's something of a niche so I'd take a big loss reselling/trading it if I considered that. I do see myself fielding it one day but I'd want to sort out a holster first.
  12. 3 bottles of Nuprol green gas for £40? I was able to get 3 (none of which were opened) for £33 from one of my local retailers and that was before my 10% membership discount was applied.
  13. I wish you hadn't mentioned that because they bother me far more than they really ought to. ?
  14. I resent that! Hot hatches are perfectly practical and affordable, if slightly showy, cars. ? It's more like a hot hatch that's had its wheels cambered to such an extreme angle that it looks like a fawn trying to stand just after it's been born.
  15. Now they've followed Rule 5, I'm curious how £650 aligns with the ~70% rule, especially when BBs from two of the bottles have been used, the pistol is a two-tone jobbie and the KWA gun is missing its flash hider. I get there are tracers and a kydex holster but that price looks optimistic.
  16. Tackle drew 3 and 9 today from a disgruntled would-be seller. He wasn't too happy about not being treated with kid gloves for his inattention and said it would be a pain in the arse to write his listing back up and said he feels encouraged not to post again. Surely you don't threaten moderators with an easier job looking after the forums?
  17. That's odd. I only see SOPMOD adapter with the NGRS TM AR-15-based guns. Can you not use a 8.4V NiMH or 7.4V LiPo, either of which have a Tamiya lead? The Rebel charger you described is one that charges through the balance lead rather than on the Tamiya/Deans/XT60 lead and a balance lead.
  18. I agree with The_Lord_Poncho Large bundles are notoriously difficult to sell for what you want and in a timely manner. You'll sooner see lowballers who'll flip what they don't want or timewasters than find genuine people meeting or coming close to your asking price.
  19. I had a look for the FMA F1 mask on Ali Express and it lived up to expectations. It mentioned being suitable for airsoft and paintball but the specs were predictably vague. The Engrish specs state the impact protection is up to 600 ft/s without saying the mass of the projectile so that 600 ft/s rating means sweet Fanny Adams. Sometimes what's not mentioned is crucial and that lends well to "buyer beware". No mention of EN166B, ANSI Z87+ or any worthy rating standard should be a big red flag. Unfortunately, we have the luxury of knowing what to look out for but Amazon Marketplace, Temu and Ali Express prey on the ignorance of newbies, especially parents who don't know what to look out for. You've also got to be wary of clones that falsely declare being compliant, unlike the real ones. You have to be. I gave a mate of mine bit of a bollocking when he'd walked just 10m into the game area and took his eye pro off as it was fogging up despite having had two safety briefings. He knows now either to ask for help from another player or a marshal to get back to the safe zone if he fogs up and can't see.
  20. Welcome! Glad to see another P90 user. It was both GoldenEye 007 and SG1 that persuaded me to buy into that airsoft platform. ?
  21. Welcome! I haven't converted one but it uses a V2 gearbox without a load of proprietary nonsense such as a DE-specific V2 casing, as far as I'm aware. Putting in a V2 engine shouldn't be a big challenge (famous last words). Maybe it's worth having a look at Pheas Airsoft's videos on the Honey Badger? I'm sure he did a diassembly video a while back.
  22. It looks it from the Airsoft Hub post. Blue paint can be seen on the handguard and the stock looks like uneven spraying. He sounds like he's trying to deflect and gaslight in implying it makes no difference if it was originally two-tone. It made a difference to him not to be two-tone when he painted the damn thing.
  23. Reducing the number of mags isn't necessarily the objective or beneficial. I had a mate ditch his primary and use his sidearm only. Let's just say that running out of ammo mid-game was identified before he went to the game area as a likely outcome and that he did it twice without learning his lesson. ?
  24. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/electric-powered/gg-armament_i76569 Back like a bad smell
  25. I can see myself fielding one of these for that reason.
