  1. I assume that by "real", he means the PEQ box has a functional laser and/or LED rather than being a dummy "fake". Perhaps it's just me but I would cringe at painting a real steel version.
  2. It's not terrible. Is your playing style one where you would make use of close to 11 mid-cap mags? Super5ives appears to have a couple in stock if you want peace of mind and only need another mid-cap with the high-cap supplied.
  3. Where have you tried buying one? Granted, there are lots of false positives in there being parts rather than the complete pistol itself but there are apparently some retailers with stock of the pistols and those search results won't be exhaustive as there are Hi-Capas that don't necessarily mention 5.1 in the description. https://www.airsoftdb.com/search/?q="marui+hi-capa+5.1"&s=t&r=uk
  4. Spamming scum. Ironic that you're advertising a service that should have been used on you.

Don't bother messaging them, just report "spammer"

  5. Unfortunately, the market of selling used airsoft kit are seldom based on what was paid for it. It's unfortunate that you were burned with the pricing but realistic expectations should be set. 70% on current RRP is the going rate for "barely used", vgc RIFs. When it comes to two-tone or garden plinkers, that drops even further.
  6. As standard, 70% of current retail is the going rate so ~£210 is what you're looking at for the MP7 as a unskirmished wall hanger. How long had it been on display and have you confirmed it still cycles in semi and full-auto? Its upgrades may add value but until you know for certain what they are, you should just go with the base gun value. Replica holo sights don't preserve that much value. What brand/model is it? Does it have adjustable windage and elevation? Do you know what the cause of the leaking mags is? Knowing if it's a problem with O-rings, fill valves, etc can push up the price of them as a known fault can be less expensive and less risk to the buyer.
  7. Depending on what ground-level barricades are set up and their height or how well they're obscured from an elevated position. A few pictures of the interior are available here. https://www.movehut.co.uk/property/677431-1-blackstone-road-huntingdon-cambridgeshire/ As it stands, it's very open but you'd think some cover from the mezzanine level would be installed to deny/limit the high ground advantage.
  8. Case in point with the heavily customised/modded Hi-Capas you see listed at £700 (for argument's sake) compared to £1,200 spent on the gun (funny that you're sold the gun whose parts have mostly/all been replaced!) and parts. If they had a bigger market, the seller wouldn't lose as much money.
  9. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/31014-great-starter-bundle The itemised bill lists the two-tone fee - am I paying a discount on that? How long have the bio BBs been hanging about for and in what conditions?
  10. Why do I get the impression he played once and discovered the reality of playing isn't like the edited YouTube videos he watched? Overpriced two-tone AEG with accessories up for sale too. "Only been used once" but it's awash with scuffs and scratches.
  11. "only been used once" Is there a reason for the lack of a full photo of the gun itself? Is the gun being sold with or without the muzzle loudener?
  12. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/win-this-cyma-grenade-launcher-for-1_i60313 He's back again. Bad sport! He's not even telling us how many entries there are so we can't estimate a margin, assuming that there actually is a prize draw. I bet he'd have to sell at least 40 or 50 tickets to be able to turn a profit.
  13. Very sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you and the family in such a difficult time and please accept my condolences.
  14. I remember this from back in the day. If it still works, £50 is probably the most you'd see. Am I right in remembering this being NBB?
  15. Not saying your estimate is wrong but which model is that price based on? Are there more photos of the gun, particularly if there are any scuffs, scratches, etc, as well as the box to identify the model name/SKU? "Not used much maybe 10-15 times" will be taken with a pinch of salt by a lot of prospective buyers. It's not to accuse you of lying or being rough, it's just not a reliable metric.
  16. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/30784-win-this-we-glock-18-for-ps20 https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/win-this-we-glock-18-for-20_i60184 No, definitely not a scam. If he's selling 14 tickets in total, he's making twice retail price on that Glock.
  17. I'm quite partial to the Hi-Capa, coming in several different barrel lengths (from 3.8" to 7") TM's versions are expectedly great out of the box though you may not like plastic slides in which case WE's haven't let me down. Especially with TM, there's a big aftermarket for performance upgrades and cosmetic customisations.
  18. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/mystery-box-brand-new_i60171 £200 mystery box - M4 or sidearm but no springers apparently Bulldog or HFC special?
  19. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/30753-src-electric-ak Seller wants 80% of retail value for a two-tone.
  20. I went there for the boot sale at the end of January but not to play though I got a similarly good impression of the organisation from the signage and the tannoy announcements so I will go there to play at some point. It sucks that they don't allow players to bring their own food and drinks. I thought that captive market mentality was left in cinemas.
  21. "Just because you can, it doesn't mean you should" springs to mind. Given that AI content is in its infancy and that it has been used to misrepresent companies, their products and services, it's not unreasonable for people to raise suspicions. As you claim to be a B2B dealer, you should surely be aware that trust and a good reputation are hard to build but easy to lose. Telling people to "calm down" when bad actors are a reality (not saying or implying you are one) isn't conducive to building that good reputation.
  22. Whether it's a joke or not, the comparison to Nazi Germany is insulting to those persecuted there for simply existing. As already said, halls of residence inspections and monitoring internet usage aren't exactly a novelty. Universities have reputations to uphold and especially in this age where Britain is becoming more like its ally from across the Atlantic with its litigous tendencies, they have to be vigilant to avoid being held liable and thus give grounds to be sued. To that point about being sued, universities have something called public liabilty insurance to protect or mitigate themselves from injury to people or damage to property within the confines of the university. As the halls of residence are the responsibility of the university and that it has a duty of care with internet usage, it doesn't take an overactive imagination to guess that many public liability insurance policies for a university are contingent on them not allowing weapons or replicas in the halls of residence and that they have safeguards and "counselling" policies in place over web usage. University culture isn't "absolutely mad" in that respect. It reflects the society we live in today where you have to be especially careful to keep your arse covered.
  23. I went to the new shop this month and I'm definitely impressed with the soft launch. It's several times the floor space of the old shop floor. They're due to complete the indoor 10m range but everything looks promising so far. Like a lot of industrial estates, parking was a challenge at the old location but there's plenty at the new site. I'm usually very happy with freebies and I got a complementary patch with my purchase.
