Please don't take this the personally but after 7+ years, your old site has to act in the interests of its business and the wider airsoft community so they may question your intentions if you want to fast-track your renewal when you haven't played recently. Actually, yes to both. RIFT Airsoft launched a new CQB site (in the last 3 months) called the Battery near Great Dunmow. I can recommend it from experience having played at the site and seen it evolve through players' feedback.

I didn't claim he'd done a Krytac P90. He had done the Cybergun FAMAS, which has a basic MOSFET and he refitted the gun with a Perun MOSFET though he didn't show the build process itself.

Negative Airsoft should be on your shortlist. He's replaced the basic MOSFETs on pews with those from Perun so if anyone can retrofit your Krytac, he can.

I've seen people claim to do though they said it was quite a faff as they had to make quite a few adaptations to make it work. That is true but remember that MOSFETs aren't all created equally. Krytac's MOSFET is pretty basic and covers voltage regulation, making it better suited to longer-term use with 11.1v LiPos than not using one, but not a great deal more. Perun's MOSFET is more comprehensive where it prevents double-firing due to overspin on the gears and has programmable firing modes among several other feature sets absent from that used in Krytac's own.

The RIFs could fetch up to 70% of retail though as a bundle, you may need to drop that top-end percentage if you want a quicker sale as fewer people are likely to want the exact combination you're selling. The case can range from 40-60% of retail. As a polite heads up, assuming I'm not the only person you had DM'd, it's best to let people browse on their own accord.

I get that. I use both terms but I called it the SOCOM originally because of it featuring in Metal Gear Solid by that name. It was shortly after that when I first played airsoft and discovered the MK 23 name in the Tokyo Marui catalogue.

A similar one I've seen is a YouTuber who said in a head-to-head comparison that one gun's body was composed of polymer whereas another was composed of nylon. What's to say the first gun's body isn't also made of nylon polymer but the marketing team thought nothing of specifying it because the manufacturer had always used nylon?

The seller could at least be transparent to itemise the upgrades to back up the claim of being "fully modified" when they're selling it for a grand. That being said, why they haven't modded it to fire within most site limits as you alluded to is beyond me.

Irrational, perhaps but understandable. If you're presenting to educate and inform, you have a duty to name things correctly.

I haven't heard someone say it but that would get me too. Not that I defend it but I guess that because SAM, AGM and air-to-air missile deployment terminologies are more prevalent now, "homing missile", which was the standard when I was a wee lad, is less commonly referred to now.

It's not like he said it has to be in working or reparable condition. 🤷‍♂️

May I ask what you think you're missing out on by not quite hitting the joule limit? There certainly comes a point where the pellets travel so (relatively) slowly that you're not competitive on the field but in the real world, you're not going to be at an appreciable competitive disadvantage if you're ~0.1J below the limit. Maybe it's just me but I'd take being able to sight an opponent first and have a better trigger response over chasing the joule limit.

Depending on where you are in Thames Valley, it may be worth considering the Battery run by RIFT Airsoft. It's toward the top end of your 2 hour driving limit as it's based in Essex just east of Stansted Airport. Is all indoor a strict requirement? The site has outdoor sections, however, some of which form part of the objectives depending on the game(s) played there.
