  1. You can get the Holy Warrior version of that LPVO for £250. What's so special about his repro that it's worth the same amount yet he's presumably not paying VAT?
  2. I was 95% sure I know the site you're talking about as its portaloos are shocking, even by festival standards. Mentioning that it's an ex-RAF airfield is redundant at that point.
  3. The biggest cringe I remembered was a team of speedsofters in their purple and white uniforms at the Battery. In fairness, a couple of them were reasonable but one player was the most insufferably self-satisfied twat who took play and himself far too seriously and had no self-awareness. Even in CQB, you may have to give your opponent the benefit of the doubt with hit taking because you may not feel a torso hit if you're wearing a plate carrier - just shoot a different part of the body. One of the speedsofters (on Blue team) claimed to land a hit on an opponent on Red team but the latter didn't call it. Speedy boi had a go at in the game but the marshal nearby reminded him with short shrift to take it up with a marshal and not to have argue over hit calling and that it was mentioned in the briefing. Back in the safe zone after the game, the speedy boi confronted the Red team player and had a go despite the marshal's warning. It started to get heated but the speedy boi came up with an absolute howler "We're a serious team and we play by the rules." putting his hand on his chest in the most smug Will McKenzie fashion. The Red team player was initially pissed off but he scoffed and laughed at the speedy boi taking himself so seriously. Another game I was in at the Battery had the same speedy boi team with the same self-satisfied player who insisted he shot an opponent but a marshal and I both had a better line of sight than he did and he clearly didn't as the BBs went a good foot wide to the left of the opponent's shoulder yet McKenzie swore he hit the target, which to be fair probably was true as I assume his target was the thin air to the left of his opponent.
  4. Maybe though I want to give him some benefit of the doubt that he can eat some humble pie and ask about something not so niche and esoteric then find out for himself how helpful this community is.
  5. Potentially, yes though more toward the bottom end of that price. The more detail you can give on which version of Gate Titan and the name of the dot sight, the more likely you may be to getting your asking price. Anything left open to uncertainty that affects the gun's function from stock can affect the price, even though you said it functions well. I'm going off this price for the T10 then working from 70% of that price. https://fubarbundy.co.uk/products/kwa-ronin-rm4-t10-aeg-with-recoil I have these prices in my head but there are assumptions on the Titan model and the torch. T10 recoil - £260 Gate Titan V2 - £80 Nuprol Large hard case - £40 WADSN M300 repro torch - £25 RDS - £60 Though you may have paid about £100 for the sight, you may see a lot less of that back if the price has since gone down or if it's been replaced by something less expensive. If the sight holds zero under recoil, that could be a good selling point.
  6. Which case is that? Is that's Nurpol Large hard case, you should get £40 to £50 - with the torn out sections of the foam, you should anticipate some bartering down closer to £40 as a buyer may wish to replace the foam. The RIF should fetch 60-70% of the lowest current retail price from a UK shop. You could retain a similar amount of value with the Gate Titan as it is popular. The value of the dot sight will depend on it being real steel or a repro/generic RDS. The more detail you could give, the better. The sling, fore grip, battery and extra mags should perhaps be looked upon as deal sweeteners as I assume neither the sling nor the fore grip are real steel without a brand name mentioned.
  7. Do you mean the sides of the back plate or at the top of the mag? The O ring around the input valve or that around the stem may have worn or dried where its now pushed up by the plate and breaks the seal. The O ring may either need to be reseated or replaced entirely.
  8. I assume you'd posted that also on Used Airsoft. At that price, you should get interest quickly as the MK18 URGI has shot up in retail price over the past few months. It's usually between £650 and £700 brand new.
  9. I'd estimate between £570 and £600. The internal upgrades improve reliability and flexibility but from a value proposition, they add only add so huge amount as they're replacing original internals. If you have the original parts, you may see another £30-40. If the leaking P-Mag is repaired, that should add another £35. For the benefit of sticklers for detail, do you know the brand and model of the recoil buffer, if the Flamingo bucking is 50 or 60 degree and if the JP nub is the polymer or aluminium spec? It may also be worth pointing out which brand of green gas you're offering.
  10. I'd say £270-300, excluding the tracer (what Acetech model is it?). The price variance is mainly becuse of the clone products as you can find a clone by Brand X for £50 but Brand Y may sell the same product that came off the same line in the factory for £30 as it was undercut through having fewer intermediates in the supply chain.
  11. I'm thinking of that lowballing "student" a couple of years ago having no self-awareness that he was taking the piss.
  12. "But I saw it on Joe Bloggs Airsoft for £150!"
  13. It might help to say what you'd been browsing that had become unavailable and by whom it was sold. The odds may be low but you could have looked at the same vendor or it may have been an external vendor or two on Ali akin to Amazon Marketplace whose products had been withdrawn.
  14. It's probably happened on a forum at some point with someone else. I'm speaking from my own experience with a friend getting into airsoft and after getting his UKARA defence signed off. The TLDR of it is that he asked for advice on where to get a specific RIF for around £300. I gave advice but he insisted he knew better and ignored it only for it to bite him square in the arse. I gave a few options, suggesting one that was local albeit 10% more expensive but if something was wrong, he had the luxury of being able to travel less than an hour and return it in person and not be fobbed off on the phone/over email or worry about posting it and and being damaged in transit. He went for the cheaper option, which was much further away but he rather smugly proclaimed himself to be a "shrewd shopper" and accused me of bias, favouring the local option as I had bought from that retailer it in the past. Out of the box, he said it didn't shoot straight as his shots went left of the target past 20m or so, so I suggested he first clean the inner barrel. Nope, he knew better and would push ahead. I suggested he may have to re-seat his hop but warned it may invalidate his warranty. He insisted on going on and if he had any more trouble, he'd return it and explain the fault. We went on and played a skirmish where he said his gun jammed every so often then Sod's law happened as he dropped his gun on concrete and caused significant cosmetic damage. He thought to return it and I said there was a cat's chance in Hell that the retailer would accept it that condition with the magwell being cracked and the handguard having a dent and could deem the fall to have caused the fault he reported. He went on to check the return policy and not only was I right about accidental damage invalidating a return for a fault, he had left it too late after purchase anyway. I haven't been a total and utter bastard yet as I haven't said "I told you so" or that he wasn't as shrewd a shopper as he thought because he didn't consider the post-sale experience too. 😅
  15. Really sorry to hear about your loss. Depending on your location, Stack Up Airsoft may be worth speaking to as they often buy bundles. All of your kit may be more than they have room for at the moment but I'd imagine they'll take a decent chunk of it off your hands. Austeyr's advice on the percentage of retail is sound but you should bear in mind that Stack Up Airsoft will likely offer you less than 60-70% of retail because they want to turn a profit themselves. I hadn't been lowballed by anything I'd sold to them.
  16. In terms of the terminals on the mini-Tamiya connector, the circle would be the red cable and the square would be the black cable so if you were converting it to Deans, the cable from the circle terminal of the mini-Tamiya would be soldered on to the horizontal part of the Deans "T" whereas your square terminal cable from the mini-Tamiya would be soldered on to the vertical part of the Deans "T".
  17. It says "M4A1 Carbine" on the lower receiver so along with mentioning EBB, I'd guess it's based off some TM M4 NGRS with an extended outer barrel. Who knows where the handguard is from?
  18. How hardline is Suffolk for you? Phil aka Airsoft Monkey is one chap I could recommend. He's based in Beds near the Cambs border since Only Airsoft/Combat UK consolidated its premises to the Snetterton store.
  19. TM will always have gather some following so the Desert Eagle should fetch around £120, assuming that the mag is gas-tight. The Glock 18 should fetch about £80-90, again assuming the mag is gas-tight. Do you have gas to confirm the mags have intact seals?
  20. If that's "practically brand new", Bonnie Blue must be a virgin.
  21. I didn't say the sport of airsoft would have been banned. I said airsoft RIFs would have been banned under VCRA though I should have clarified the sale of them. Indeed it was a Labour government but that's an oversimplication given that policy under Starmer differs significantly from that under Blair at the time.
  22. A few issues with the argument. Intention is one thing but the effect is also significant. We don't live in an ideal world and it's not a secret that criminals want to reduce their paper trail and would employ a proxy to acquire an imitation firearm. The kid's age doesn't prevent him from being allowed spray paint the gun he had - whatever you've been "led to believe" was misleading or you've misinterpreted it. It is illegal for anyone, whether they're above or below the age of majority, to modify an imitation firearm to look realistic unless they have a defence to do so. I'm not sure anyone has been prosecuted for the offence but being a minor is not a factor. The restrictions on airsoft guns came from the Violent Crime Reduction Act, not the Violent Crime Prevention/Eradication Act. UKARA as a self-regulated system could definitely do with reform but to imply that it doesn't have any impact on reducing the misuse of imitation firearms needs evidence to back it up. Also, it's worth bearing in mind the point about air pistols is irrelevant because air guns were not (and still aren't) under the same remit as airsoft when the VCRA was proposed. Air guns had significant protection by political lobbyists who had ties to shooting clubs. Airsoft had no such protection and airsoft RIFs would have been made banned outright had it not been for the government agreeing to a compromise with the UK airsoft industry regulating itself in terms of who can buy. Airsoft will face further restrictions long before it happens to air pistols or air rifles.
  23. So he's only fired 20 rounds in the AK but he's gone to the trouble of wrapping up his grip with sniper tape? 🤔
  24. I agree completely. I don't just blame the kids, I blame the parents who show no common sense either. I was at an airsoft shop not so long ago where this lad, no more than 13 or 14 came in the shop open carrying some AR-15 based replica with his dad present. The staff gave them a minor bollocking and insisted they use a large plastic bag before leaving the store and rightly said an armed response unit could have been sent over. The shop was somewhat secluded in an industrial estate but the front door was directly opposite an active business. Some of the most shameless idiocy I'd seen was at Birmingham ComicCon where people were open-carrying RIFs in the lobby at the NEC. Considering the location being right by a major UK airport and train station, how did they not think there is going to be a constant police presence? The sooner we get rid of Just Cos or the sooner its terms invalidate the insurance if you open carry, the better.
