Do you have a picture of it on? Where on the gun is the sling attached to?

It sounds to me like the sling you have is too short for what you want but it may be how you're wearing it. If you're right handed, try putting it on over your right shoulder and under your left arm. That should help position the gun off to one side so it doesn't rub in the centre of your plate carrier.

    Have a watch of this

You may decide that actually a two point sling or a convertible 2 to 1 point sling might be better.

The Marui is clearly the better shooter, but the WE is pretty decent.

It needs a bit of TLC at first. but once I got mine sorted and put a couple of thousand rounds through it to wear it in it has been totally reliable ever since. With 5 mags it is totally skirmishable for shorter games without having to carry a speed loader although I do want a couple more.

I used https://madpatches.co.uk/ for some custom pvc patches.
Decent pricing, but they were a bit slow to get them done. However, the quality was excellent.

Butt, butt, butt 😉 ... I love the P90 looks, & frankly my prostate exams were the only intimate contact I've had in a while.

Not fielded my P90 yet coz I only have 2 mags for it, got molle pouches for the mags I've yet to buy tho.

(another 2 mags & a pouch ordered via fleabay)

Well due to the boy now playing cup games as well as league games, we now have football on Sat and Sun each weekend which means airsoft is on hold.

You say recommended battery, so I'm assuming you mean this one from Patrolbase: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/nuprol-11-1v-1300mah-20c-stick-lipo-battery-deans as that was what they linked in their ad for the Zion.

Is the issue that it protrudes from the buffer tube such that you cannot fully collapse the stock when it is installed?  You can get shorter 11.1v LiPos, I've just ordered a couple of these which are only 105mm vs the 128mm of your battery (assuming it is the one in the link above).  No idea if they are any good or not, so it's not a recommendation as such.

I have the same issue with my Double Eagle and the batteries I'm currently using with it, but I never use it with the stock collapsed so it doesn't bother me.  The only time I ever fully collapse the stock is for storage and I always remove the battery in that case anyway.

Initial findings are very nice. Light as hell, but the mag wobbles a lot. Gaming with it this coming week.

    I’ll let you know.

    UPDATE

Just programmed the etu and put it through the chrono. Programming was super easy and quick to do. Literally a combination of selector switch turns and trigger pulls. On the chrono it is a very steady 309 fps on .2's. 40 shots fired and a total of 4 fps deviation.

This is my first pdw style rif, but so far I'm very impressed with quality and the etu.

Game day (cqb) on Tuesday evening, so will report back then.

Zero, we pay a yearly insurance and club subscription fee (ours is €70) and that's it.

For tournaments we usually pay around €20/person for the short ones and about 30/35 for the 8h+ ones.

It's really weird...I'm gonna have to do another test of all my mags.  Yellow tape for the Specna,  Maybe green for the l85.

By the time I've done the Double Eagle and the boy's M4 based pews,  my mag case is going to look like Brighton High Street during an LBTQ++ABCDEFG march.

Is the M9 a tilting or fixed barrel? If it's a tilting barrel then the extra weight of a traser may negatively impact how well it cycles.

Like I say, your idea of crazy money isn't the same as others. I just paid out £70ish to have the right kind of KAC suppressor to go with my SR25k (for which I also spent £100 on a different stock).

Point is, you pays your money and you takes your choice. The TM M9A1 is a very well performing piece of kit and will last, I guess you'd need to balance it with how often you actually need to run a tracer.
  20. Thanks
AGR reacted to heroshark in Is my thinking too simple….
If you think about it as value for money it makes sense. A TM will generally out last a WE for example by a long shot. All the TM has do is out last 2 WE's which they usually do by a long shot. Also they pretty much work well all year round. This said there are more efficient TM models than the m9. Mate of mine still runs his first edition fixed hop m9, think it's about 25yo. You wouldn't see WE doing that.

The M9a1/M9 are lovely performing pistols. It is a pity TM haven't come out with a ready threaded variant similar to their HK 45 tactical.

In fact an updated Tactical master with a threaded barrel would be swell.

In theory yes, a lighter slide will potentially be more gas efficient but in practical terms its a bit more complicated as it also depends on the efficiency of the gas mechanism and nozzle / hop seal.

Tokyo Marui's will always be the most efficient because of the plastic slides and quality of internals.

My WE M9A1 V2 has a super smooth action so I really like it.  I don't know how gas efficient it is compared to others but it will easily empty a couple of mags worth of BBs

    Short answer: yes

Long answer: also yes but with the caveat that different manufacturers are better than others. For example, I currently have a Tokyo Marui M9A1 which is one of their more recent designs with a larger blow back unit for more snappy pews. It works quite happily in cold weather and shoots quite nicely. I used to have the SOCOM Gear M9A1 which was all metal, with the lower rail and looked great, but leaked gas like a sieve and maybe got half a dozen rounds off before completely degassing IN THE SUMMER!

In summary, get the TM M9A1 and enjoy pwning n00bs.

Depends on the brand and some times the specific model.
