Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Cannonfodder replied to Mack's topic in General Discussion
Bugger, that means I could've sold on my cheap red dot sight for a massive profit, rather than just make Spinal Tap jokes on social media? -
Area 66 Glasgow Site Review
Cannonfodder replied to Poach's topic in Skirmish Sites, Stories & Reviews
True, but many sites specifically mention no climbing trees in the briefing. -

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
Cannonfodder replied to Skara's topic in General Discussion
I used the cheap Chinese gloves for years, usually replacing them every 6 - 9 months. I also wore them on the bike cycling to work, camping and urbexing though. Then last year I picked up a pair of mechanix fast fit gloves for a few quid more. So fat they're hilding up far better than the cheaper ones. The fast fit ones are slightly thinner and allow great finger dexterity (we all know how more fiddly pouches can suddenly get in those oh shit moments) but a trade off is that being thinner and not armoured you don't get such good protection from hits. -
The clitoris has over 8000 nerve endings Still not as sensitive as an airsofter on social media

Fair enough, I missed that.

Apart from showing us all you have a serious case of Dunning Kruger effect, what the fuck does any of that have to with anything bring discussed here?

Like a certain poster here?

A lot of the sources for examples of him being a cunt are his own videos, eg deliberate head shots, ignoring the MED, using a hot gun in cqb and one that sticks out for me is the clip he posted of him shooting another player in the back from close range with a TAG round

Airsoft Defence Information Sheet for public transport inspections
Cannonfodder replied to Pseudotectonic's topic in UK Law
You wouldn't end up in court though (assuming you weren't actually doing something illegal). Also a random bit of paper you printed out at home would be meaningless. I think you're being overly paranoid. Just use your common sense and you'll be fine. -
You mean the many who are going on experience, rather than a goby know it all who's been involved in the hobby for 5 minutes?

Airsoft Defence Information Sheet for public transport inspections
Cannonfodder replied to Pseudotectonic's topic in UK Law
The VCRA and UKARA have nothing to do with owning a rif, just sale, manufacture and importing. Just keep them out of sight and unloaded. If you are stopped by police just be polite, courteous and if they do ask you to open the bags explain what you're carrying, why and that you're happy to, but to do the search somewhere out of view from the public Remember, with any interaction with law enforcement will have a worse outcome if you fail the attitude test. Tuat being said I've been playing since 2004 and have never had any trouble using public transport, even travelling through central London -
And end up the star of a bullshit click bait cheaters punished video, despite not cheating or even being hit by a bb Edit: @Dobbin66 in case haven't realised KM isn't well liked amongst most airsofters, take a look at the thread titled Good Grief to see why

West London newbie reporting in
Cannonfodder replied to Pseudotectonic's topic in New Players & Arrivals
Welcome to the asylum. I'm in the same situation as you with having to use public transport. When I first started I used a hard plastic rifle case for the guns but quickly found it drew unwanted attention so switched to a soft rifle bag which is less obvious. Believe me it quickly gets old having pissed up wankers thinking they're funny and original saying "hur hur, what you got in there, a gun?". The rest of my kit goes into either a small rucksack or holdall, again avoiding anything that looks too miliaryish. On thing I've found is that relying on public transport and carrying all your shit makes you think alot more abour what you actually need, compared to what's nice but not really needed This. For example I prefer shorter guns such as carbines and smgs so as much as I like the looks of some longer rifles such as the FAL or G3, they don't suit my playing style. When you go to your first game ask other players about guns or gear they're using that you like the look of, as Madhouse posted, airsofters love to show off and talk about their guns and kit. Ask nicely and they'll probably let you fire off a few rounds too -
Shamelessly nicked ftom faceache. It was titled The Army Photograper but I think it's more like The Airsoft Youtuber

I suppose every game day has its negative sides. Bad jokes aside, glad you enjoyed yourself

Modifying Airsoft to fire torpedo shaped projectiles.
Cannonfodder replied to Gun_Smith's topic in General Help
I remember hearing about similar donkeys years ago. Iirc they had major issues with feeding. Also I'm sure the vcra says to be considered an airsoft gun it must fire spherical projectiles of no greater than 8mm -

Please tell me it's called Francis and will be rocking all over the world 😁 -
Unfortunately my experience of the stitch counters is that the vast majority seem to have their head up their arse to such an extent that they think everyone must have the same amount of knowledge as them, even if you've only been involved in the scene for 5 minutes. Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't expect to be spoon fed, but shitting on someone for asking questions or the most minor things like how their boots are laced up is just being a cunt for the sake of it. If you ever visited the Red Alliance forum you'll know what I mean

Re-spraying two-tone with vinyl dye rather than plain old spray paint
Cannonfodder replied to L1ct0r's topic in General Help
I'm guessing here, but it might be that the original finish is preserved as dye is absorbed into the plastic rather than just sitting on top like paint would -
Importing from HK and Preferred Manufacturers
Cannonfodder replied to SteamPunkSultan's topic in General Help
As above. Years ago when the exchange rates between the pound and the US dollar was more favourable you could make some good savings on importing from the far east. Not so much anymore, especially with shipping costs being higher -
Imo losing the stitch bitches would be a good thing as they put me off going to milsim events, so something like this appeals to me.
