  1. Unfortunately staying still is the worst thing for fogging as when you're moving air circulates round you better
  2. Thinking about it whitewashing probably isn't the right word, maybe forget would be better. The loadout in question was nowhere near reenactment levels of stitch counting but I would think the OG tunic and coal scuttle helmet with spread eagle printed on the side would clearly be WW2 German to anyone who's picked up a history book or seen a war film would be able to tell what it's supposed to be.
  3. No worries. My go to brand of anti fog is called cat crap. It comes as a paste in a red tub. Simply rub it onto the lens, buff it a bit then wipe off with a cloth. It should cost ten to fifteen quid for a small tub but I find it lasts ages as you only need a little at a time
  4. Possibly a silly question but did you still use the anti fog on your glasses when using the mesh mask? Also what anti fog spray are you using? I've found some work far better than others. I'm not familiar with that particular mask so I can't 100% say it's safe but any foam you do remove will help airflow. Just make sure any holes left behind won't let a bb through
  5. I guess I must be lucky that I've met some players wearing ww2 axis loadouts who just have an interest in history. Unfortunately I've also bumped into plenty of wehraboos too, fortunately they can easily be identified when they open their mouths. Imo the other potential issue is that we could end up whitewashing or forgetting history. A couple of years ago I was at a site where a player was wearing heer kit which some kid called a Wolfenstein loadout. Spoilsport.
  6. It's not a chest rig but have you looked at the SADF M83 assault vest? The original ones are almost bomb proof and they have loads of pouches for magazines and other bits and bobs along with a pouch on the back. Just avoid the viper copies
  7. Thanks, unfortunately there's no diving shops nearby. I'll give the nearest gunsmiths a try
  8. Does anyone know where I can get a hpa bottle filled in the south Hertfordshire area? While I can get it filled on site I'm hoping to get it done beforehand so I can test everything is working beforehand
  9. I had an A&K M249 years ago and I think one of my teammates summed it up best. "Cannonfodder tends to swear at his saw than by it." The pot metal parts were very fragile and the micro switch in the trigger kept sticking causing the gun to keep firing after I released the trigger. To be fair though this was over 10 years ago so I don't know if these issues have been solved. Other things to bear in mind are the extra weight and ammo costs. I was going through several bottles of bbs a day
  10. That's good to hear (or read) as I really want to avoid opening up the gearbox if I can
  11. That's one of the reasons I avoid cesspits like reddit
  12. So I took my Specna Arms SA CO2 out the other day to fire off a few shots and discovered a problem. It's stuck in semi auto no matter what position I put the fire selector in. I'm guessing it's the selector plate on the outside of the gearbox which is knackered, but if anyone knows more or has other ideas I'm all ears Thanks in advance
  13. The thing is you can take pretty much any military and find something nasty that they've done. People need to stop looking for offence where there isn't any
  14. You could say the same about people wearing ww2 German kit. Personally I'm not too fussed what someone wears to a skirmish. If they start spouting hateful propaganda then I have a problem
  15. In my experience cyma gearboxes tend to be well made so unless there's already a problem or it's making expensive sounding noises then personally I'd leave it. It's also worth noting that if you do open up the gearbox there's just as much chance it'll make no difference or even have a negative effect. If you do decide to open them up then make sure you completely finish one gun before starting the other. The last thing you want the evening before a game is to have to fix 2 guns
  16. Tbh that's a sensible offer. The broken body is a known weak spot on them and the busted fire selector means it'll need more work.
  17. But you're not a gentleman so spill the beans 😁
  18. Welcome Gwyneth Paltrow's head?
  19. He's been told multiple times every time he posts the advert but just won't listen. If he's who I think he is then we've met and the ex is better off without
  20. Also I'm pretty sure most couriers have rules about Joe Public posting pressurised canisters of flammable gasses
  21. ⬆️⬆️⬆️This. If you've recieved any message or e mail saying click here for payment then ignore it as it's a scammer
  22. I haven't been to Dragon's Lair so I can't comment on how good the site is. But I think it's worth pointing out that often the people running the site aren't the ones who have the final say on what can or can't be built
  23. Still not worth that much but at least he's put it in the boneyard section this time. Pictures even taken from another ad on usedairsoft
  24. Not surprising. Assuming the stated fps is with a .2g bb that works out as 0.34j
