TM MK18 MWS arrived this week, it’s been on the want list for ages and I ran out of restraint when Fire Support were down to one left 😂
Also got a Magpul CTR stock for it as I prefer it. Extra mags ordered from Japan as they seem to be hen’s teeth right now. Next up … accessories!!

My VFC LAR/FAL DX version landed in UK in late April, customs had it for 5 weeks. After the long and painful waiting, it finally arrived this week.
Pretty confident it's the first DX FAL arrived in UK or even Europe. Shame that customs wanted to have more fun with it before I could get hold of
The difference between the normal version and DX is the special wooden box, proper trades and every part of metal made of steel. Might be a bit overpriced but I'll pay for that as a super FAL fan

Got my AKX. Generally happy with it. It’s hot on Green gas and the stock hop unit struggles with anything over 0.25s.
I’ve fitted a Bavtac nub and a nineball air seal hop rubber, I’m now flinging 0.28s dead straight with the hop on its lowest setting.
im waiting on a volante full travel bolt and a TBB.
currently my AKX doesn’t have the hammer strength to depress the exit valve of my G&P mags using Nuprol 2.0. So I need to figure out how to solve that.
I suspect the easiest solution will be to change a spring in the trigger box. But I haven’t looked yet. Alternative is to fit OEM Marui exit valves… which I haven’t been able to source.

After a couple of years of humming and hawing, my stunning and loving wife bought me this as a combined 10th anniversary/36th Birthday present. Finally joined the AK race with this CYMA 028U.
I can now see why CYMA AKs are raved about so much. Excellent quality for the price, cycles lovely and crisp and by airsoft standards accurate and consistent. Not sure how it will fit in with my generic scifi Disaster Chief/Orbital Drop Short Trooper/DoomedGuy look, but no matter. Have already nicknamed it "The Lada" in homage to its Soviet/Commie heritage.
Two-tone unfortunately however reckon I'll break out the halfords OD spray soon so it can fit in with its other comrades in my plastic armoury.

Just received my TTi TP22, very impressed, feels very nice in the hand. It’s basically a g18c but the barrel dosen’t move and it has an optic mount on it, it has a 14mm ccs thread on the barrel (the cover nut is quite tight mind). It also has an externally adjustable hop, Not sure if I like the mags fill valve being just below the gas valve. Cannot wait to test it out

This.
7 Years ago - when I finally realised that I was in real trouble - I was £23k in debt with Credit Cards. Luckily I was (just about) paying the minimum payment on time (so no late payments or defaults), but those minimum payments were skyrocketing, interest free offers were ending, and I was struggling.
Thing is - my Wife had no idea I was in debt.
It was when she found out that I had to confront the issue and acknowledge what an idiot I had been - all to buy the shiny newest thing and get the dopamine hit of receiving parcels in the post. I was deeply unhappy with my job which compounded the issue as I would sit at work browsing for stuff to buy rather than...y'know...working.
It was all the more galling that I had literally nothing to show for it - I would buy stuff then sell it before I even used it (that includes Paintball and Airsoft gear). The proceeds of the sales would just get frittered away on more random and pointless crap - and never to tackle the Credit Card debt that was steadily accruing.
I was very lucky. My Wife didn't divorce me (but it was close) - I don't know where I would be today if she had. I was able to change jobs and dramatically increase my income. Every spare penny went into repaying the debt - and it took 5 years - but for the last 2 years I have not owed a penny to anyone and I am determined to keep it that way.
It can be done - I would also suggest taking a look at the 'Debt Free Wannabe' section of the Money Saving Expert forums, it helped us to identify the best course of action for the circumstances I landed myself (and family) in.

SilentSparky reacted to AlphaBear in Which recoil AR to buy? (AEG)
What I meant is that as long as you don’t spam on semi you don’t really need a mosfet. But yes, agreed generally the mosfet helps hands down with many things but it’s really not necessary. I have 3 titans in 3 of my recoils and the other 3 are without mosfet. The 50 shades below does not have a Titan and if I’m being honest I prefer the feel of the original so called mechanical trigger. Although, I do appreciate the hairline trigger on the mosfet when my fingers have frostbite lol

Been searching high and low for one of these. It's the newer samurai edge with the same hop unit as the us M9 and m9a1

After 3 days without eating and sleeping, here is my fully Zenitco-ed GHK AK74 with full steel internals and steel barrel. Eveything upgradable is upgraded. Parts list will be too long.
Weighs a ton. Almost like the real thing. Barrel is a pain in the arse to change btw
And here's what it used to look like. Wouldn't say it's the same gun

bit of a work in progress. Fitting LED's and laser to the TM Curve pistol. LED's work but the laser is giving me grief. Need to redesign the push button as the grey one on there now was just to get things working.

So an update, over the past couple of months, I've slowly sanded off the original varnish and just about finished recoating.
I used 3x coats of water based wood stain (Dark Walnut), then 3x coats of Danish oil. I picked up a repro butt plate and tarnished with some salt & vinegar, it's not perfect fit, but better than the metal one it comes with.
Happy enough with it, it's far from perfect, but then that adds a bit of character 🙂
