Aye, I get notifications for everything bar questions on the classifieds at present.

I have a vague recollection of this being mentioned at some point, though I could be getting confused with replies to status notifcations which weren't working previously. Had a few questions asked on items I've had up on the classifieds and I didn't receive a notification to let me know. I check the 'My Adverts' tab daily just to see if there have been any new questions on there so not a massive issue by any stretch, but figured I'd mention it here in case it's functionality that could be added at some point in a future update. Depending on what the eye pro is generally attaching lower face pro is pretty simple, just a case of popping some cable ties through the mesh of the lower face pro and through the ventilation holes/any other hole you can find on your eye pro. Tends to work best with goggles in my experience because there are plenty of points to pop cable ties through on the under side.

I largely disagree entirely with this statement. In my opinion you should put more effort into researching eye pro than you should any RIF you ever purchase. I wouldn't personally entrust my vision to anything made by Valken or Nuprol, QC is my main concern here. Bolle and Revision are both brands known to be up to the task, worth considering how much you tend to sweat/how likely you are to fog protective eyewear up. Not being able to see where you're going/what you're pointing your shooty stick at/moving your eye pro to clear fog is just as dangerous as wearing inappropriate eyewear. Assuming you value your vision, take some time, look at testimonials and go from there. Also worth considering the shape of your face when picking up eye pro, uncomfortable protective equipment will happily ruin your day.

Don't know if it counts for much but I have just had an email saying words to the effect of 'Hi, you have a parcel coming tomorrow which requires a signature'. As for travelling to local depots, the majority of that tends to happen overnight so it's certainly not out of the question. Ultimately I'm not particularly arsed either way, takes as long as it takes, but I'm aware others are significantly more bothered for various reasons.

Very much a case of waiting to see if my order actually shows up tomorrow, or is now going to do the warehouse dance at Stanford for a few weeks. But assuming it does turn up tomorrow it would appear to have been generally much less painful for those that ordered a few weeks after TG starfted taking orders from the UK again versus those that put in orders immediately. Perhaps an ounce of hope moving forward for those that intended to use TG regularly, it'd still be preferable if they changed couriers to someone a bit more efficient but I'm hunting for a silver lining for those that will continue to use TG. Edit: Even though I'm not intending on making any further orders (for no other reason than I'm pretty content with waht I have), I've still thrown them an email to say it'd be worth looking elsewhere if for no other reason that they're probably overpaying UPS for the standard of service they're receiving.

It's not something I'd look to do, and I'm not particularly against HPA but the relatively obvious answer is ultimately down to finances. The MWS, MTW and Tippmann are all expensive platforms with a relatively high buy in, if you're already invested in the MWS platform it makes much more sense financially to HPA tap/get a drum mag made rather than picking up an entirely separate platform to what something you already own can do. It's a boring answer, but I suspect it's the right one.

A TM G34 with all the trimmings (shoutout to the lovely Prowin mags) and a pair of TRMRs with multi shot bases from a lovely bloke on here that’s unfortunately leaving the game. Genuinely gutted because I’d have loved to get some games in with him, but it’s come to a good home. This’ll be the new ‘CQB primary’ stuff. The arrival of some additional long WTFix straps means I could finish putting the Crye Airlite chest rig together, and my Ferro FCPC v5 arrived from the US. Placard is very much a placeholder, not entirely settled on what will live there just yet.

Counter Strike (and more recently Tarkov) taught me... well, very few things. But a love for the 57 is definitely one of them.

Buying something that’s in stock, for the stated price and receiving it within a reasonable window of time (generally dictated by the postage paid for) should be the normal baseline a company operates by... granted that’s not always the case. But I’d be reluctant to say ‘xxx company is amazing because I always receive the things I buy’, that should be common place for anywhere. The ‘real good retailer’ stripes are earned by those that go above and beyond when shit goes south. Suffice to say I’ve only seen evidence of that in a negative light in regard to HPA.

I’m not sure a stock adapter, stock, foregrip, red dot, weapon light and suppressor really help with that high a price to be honest 👀. Though I will say I’ve never understood the comparison of prices between airsoft RIFs and ‘real gnus’. They’re very different beasts, bought for very different reasons. No matter how much cheaper I could pick up a real AR for versus my airsoft one, I’ll never be able to skirmish with it so it’s a somewhat moot point... not to take away from the fact that the Redwolf price is absolutely wild, but still.

I’ve never been unfortunate enough to order something that was showing as in stock and it not be. And whenever ordering something that was actually in stock it’s always turned up fairly sharpish with no complications. I did however try contacting them on numerous occasions with general enquiries ahead of potential purchases and have literally never had a reply to any of them, on any platform. Also never managed to get through on the phone, though that seems to be the way to get hold of them if you desperately need to. I wasn’t particularly persistent in regard to phone calls and ultimately ended up going elsewhere. Fortunately there are other UK stockists of Wolverine (and most other HPA equipment), I found Gordon at Battlezone to be absolutely superb. Seems like the only things HPA have a true monopoly on now in the UK are Polarstar products (which is unfortunate) and Amped products (assuming you’re not looking to import yourself). But yeah, despite having no issues with any of my own orders I find them a very hard company to recommend just based on the non-existant customer relations/services. Feels like a company that’s surging in growth, but has that real ‘inner circle’ feel to it. Folks that know Chris, be that personally or have just been ordering from them from the start, seems to have nothing but kind words to say. Outside of that, it’s just a lot of folks struggling to get any sort of information out of them.

Will definitely be keeping an eye out in regard to these mags, silly as it sounds the availability (or lack thereof) of decent p-mags for the MWS is genuinely the thing that's stopped me picking up another MWS.

The main things folks tend to be specifically looking for if they want a more function optic is them being parallax free, or they're a GBBR user that's struggling with keeping zero on replicas. With regular AEGs losing zero doesn't tend to be too much of an issue, because there's nothing to really throw the zero off. Only other considersation with magnified optics is the eye relief. Eye relief tends to be shown in inches, and it's simply how close to the objective lens your eye needs to be to get the proper sight picture. Eye relief is the primary reason I've gone with Vortex when I get magified optics, I find a longer eye relief distance (i.e. my eye is further away from the objective lens) is just more comfortable to me and matches where I naturally cheek a RIF. As with pretty much everything with optics, entirely personal preference. Fortunately we don't have much recoil to contend with so you kind of go as short on eye relief as you find comfortable. Apologies for the absolute dump of terms, I believe that's the bulk of the 'big ones' out of the way. As always, if I'm making little to no sense I'll happily try to simplify further. Very fine line between trying to explain things in plain English, and being condescending so I'm just making sure I'm treading carefully.

T1/T2's are small red dot sights, the real steel is made by Aimpoint. There are a heap of replicas for them, sights such as the Vortex Crossfire also have a very similar footprint. FC1 is a new one to me, a quick Google tells me they're a prism red dot. 'Prism' optics are often a go to option for folks that suffer with astigmatisms but still want a red dot-esq optic rather than a traditional rifle scope. The reason they're good for folks with astigmatisms? They have an etched reticle on a lens, much like a traditional rifle scope, (which is often illuminated) rather than a 'reflected' red dot as most conventional red dots do. TLDR, the fact it's an etched reticle rather than a 'reflected' one means astigmatisms don't effect the view of the dot. RMR's are small reflex sights, the real steel is made by Trijicon. Again, a fair amount of replicas out there. In some circles RMR has kind of just become a colloquial term for 'reflex sight'. Red dots and reflex sights work much the same in general terms, real steel holographic sights function differently but as mentioned previously by hitman the replica version tend to just be red dots in a holographic sight body. I've only ever used Vortex magnified optics (because I seemingly have more money than sense). I believe 'Vision King' are a well regarded fairly budget brand of magnified optics within airsoft circles. But I'll allow someone with actual experience with them to elaborate. (If anyone knows better than I do here and believes anything I've said is inaccurate please correct me and I'll edit this post to prevent the spread of misinformation.)

I had mine through via an email at about 22:45 tonight, just clicked the link in that email and payed following that (using PayPal, which was a nice option to have). £50.69 (nice) on a £170, £155 in goods, £15 shipping, order for anyone curious. £39.19 in ‘Government Charges’ and £11.50 in Brokerage Charges. An equivalent order from a UK retailer, which don’t tend to stock some of the things in my order, would have been north of £300.

Did you not get an email from TG (email address was [email protected]) with the header starting 'INVOICE taiwangun.com' followed by the names of the attached files? Assuming you ordered a RIF that should have your warranty information and an invoice (both in English) attached, both as PDFs. If you didn't order a RIF I'll assume it's just the invoice, but couldn't say for certain.

I genuinely hope it's at least moderately useful. I've been in a very similar situation multiple times across my time in the hobby (give or take 15 years), some for similar reasons and some for entirely different ones. In this instance I think you've hit the nail on the head, not being able to go out and play definitely amplifies the 'is this all really worth it' element. I've nearly thrown in the towel at least 3 times in the last year, but I know full well being honest with myself that without airsoft things to enjoy/grumble about the last year would have been significantly harder because I'd have had very little to be looking forward to at the tail end of all that's going on. Waffle away, getting it out there is a damn sight healthier than having it all bouncing around your noggin entirely untamed.

My reply wasn’t a simple ‘if you don’t like it, find something else’. That was very intentionally the final option listed. You in no way need to defend how you wish to make your purchases, everyone is entitled to their preference. But you’ll need to answer the question yourself as to how set in your preferences you are, and whether the need to deviate from that is enough to put you off entirely. Because that’s ultimately where we are now, like it or lump it (the vast majority of us falling in the latter camp I imagine) things aren’t the way they were. If your criteria is as set in stone as you say it is, the second hand market seems to be the closest thing to a solution I can put forward. If that’s a no go for whatever reason, then I’m fresh out of ideas.

Eh, is it though? Is filling out and returning a very simple form and paying some import fees really that much of an inconvenience? I’d imagine the time taken for things to arrive will smooth out in time, if things taking to arrive is really considered a downside. I guess I’ve been shipping things over from elsewhere in the world long enough to just never really be in much of a rush. Main consideration is whether it actually winds up much different to UK prices when all is said and done. Granted cost savings have never been the draw of importing things in for me, it’s mostly supply/availability. Nevertheless, being patient and keeping your eye out of classifieds/putting up wanted ads is an option. Failing that, either make do with what you have, or sell up and find something else you want to do with your time. Not intending to totally blunt, I’m just struggling to piece together the part that makes it feel like a real hardship to import things. The chasing folks are doing is born more from impatience or other external factors that weren’t considered as potential issues at the time of ordering more than it is a necessity. Side note, turns out my previous post on expected arrival time wasn’t correct. On the UPS app date is displayed in US format so it hadn’t actually updated. ‘Parcel Progress’ is DD/MM/YY, but ‘Scheduled Delivery’ is MM/DD/YY... good job that isn’t confusing. However, it has just update with ‘Export Scan’ and the scheduled delivery is this Friday. Whether that’ll actually happen... 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Aye, though there definitely seems to be a developing pattern from some companies of late. A decent portion of the more recent KWA stuff for example, especially their 'limited edition' runs, feel like they're after a very different market than most others out there. Not quite up there with being as over the top as the Thunder Maul and the Vorpal Bunny, but definitely feels like they're targetting a persona that isn't 30+year old folks.

My tracking updated at some point over the weekend to give an estimated delivery date of 03/04/2021, seems slightly more realistic than last Thursday as was intially shown. In terms of the overall process so far I've done the RIF form and value declaration email, but I'm yet to receive anything regarding any additional fees.
