My father was a stone Mason and he taught me to cut and dress quarried stone for coins(corner blocks) I still love the smell of hand worked purbeck stone.

Up until quite recently i didn’t really have any interest and thought Airsoft was just silly fake shitty Chinese toys.
This was further backed up by the Airsoft weapons we have at work in my armoury - a L96 and a SA80 that are both utter pieces of utter cheap rubbish.
But then i saw some nice Umarex pieces and my opinion totally changed.
Now whilst I’m still to do a actual day of airsofting I’m chomping at the bit to get going - as are both my boys but only one is old enough at moment.
Luckily i don’t have to fork out on much gear as got mountains of kit after a long career in the infantry.
Anyway hope to see some of you guys at a local event.

Under the VCRA you have ‘modified’ an IF into a RIF.  Nobody will know unless you tell them, but if your intent is to play airsoft skirmishing at insured sites then you are in compliance with the intent of the law.

By removing the two tone paint you have modified it from an imitation firearm to a realistic imitation firearm, an offence under section 36.
 
However, as you are going to be airsofting with it, you have a defence under section 37 (and the accompanying statutory instrument) to do so.
 
So no, you don't need to repaint it, leave it as is.

I guess "tactical" refers to the ability to mount accessories like grips, sights and torches.
 
In airsoft, using tactical to name something implies that it'll give you +150 fps, +30 rps and will get you a lot more bitches on Instagram other than making your wallet lighter than it should be.

Decided to give making a holster a go and blow off the old leather working tools. Bit rusty and rough around the edges as was thrown together to prove the design but I’m happy with it for a first attempt!
