  1. I've always called them face smashers.

'Cos I assume they were intended to smash people's faces. Simples.

I might have to try that Lego pyro idea in the garden though... I have a megablocs aircraft carrier, s'about a metre long-ish and I know for a fact that if I threw it down the stairs, what I'd find at the bottom would be unrecognisable in comparison what I originally threw down.

  2. One day I just might accidentally slip and click the ban button by mistake...

I saw a guy at F&O's Balderstone School site this Sunday gone who'd machined his own micro red dot mount which sat in the rear sight groove on a WE Glock 18c and he was running that with a foregrip on it.

I glared at him disapprovingly and he just looked at me with a sad look on his face and said, "But... It works!"

    But I still hate him.

  3. JD are pretty shit for customer service, I've heard multiple counts of them selling people two tones gun which broke within the first 3 times they were used, but they refused to fix or refund them under warranty because they'd been "modified" (BY THEM) by being two toned. What sort of bullshit is that?

Additionally, I spent £400 in one order on a sniper, which turned out to be shit and broke before I'd even skirmished it, this was back in February, I emailed them about it around May, and I still haven't got a reply to this day. I've had to go through the actual manufacturer to try and get it working again, and even they're not responding to me. Just keep saying they'll refer my queries to their European office, who are apparently a bunch of hapless retards (Cough Ares Cough).

  4. Air pockets can make the flight path all wobbly because there's no way to ensure the air pocket will be in the exact same spot every time. I've found Z1 BBs to be far less accurate than Blasters and I'd bet money that it's down to the air pocket being in a non-uniform place in each BB.

Despite them being perfectly spherical, I could see them tumbling instead of flying true.

  5.

On a completely irrelevant side note Ed, what sites do you mostly play at? CQB or woodland? And what are the FPS limits?

I play significantly more woodland, Skirmish has a max full auto limit of 368. The Stan is 350 full auto limit as my most frequented CQB site, and Skirmish have yet to set a limit for their CQB site, but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't 350 + 5% as per their woodland site as well.

  6. I don't mind people adding RIS to an M16A3, people can do that, it's fine.

If anyone wants me to genuinely murder them, then you need to get an AR57 and then stick a P90 M4 mag adaptor on it.

It shall be slow, and it shall be painful, and you will fully deserve every second of it.

  7. A short video from Skirmish's new CQB site:

Also, before I get into another 5 hour row, be aware that I'd never throw a BFG through a window like that in any other circumstances, it was a private day for site regulars and we're all friends, trust was implied in the brief and people were there to test the site. There was no formal brief as it were, we were there to give our feedback, invent rules and work out what games work and which ones don't.
