  1. I don't know, The Next Generation Squad Weapons (NGSW) Program appears to be in full swing with Sig, General Dynamics and Textron Systems all gunning for the program to replace the M4 and M249. It seems a transition to the beefier 6.8mm round is inevitable considering the need to defeat actual body armour from conventional, near peer enemy forces the US is likely to encounter should it get into it with China, Russia etc. My money is on Sig at this point. They seem to be absolutely smashing it when it comes to small arms development. As for the Space Force, the next significant war will see space playing a key role with TITAN, space and high altitude, aerial and terrestrial layer sensors for target nomination direct to fire command and control networks. There is a whole lot going on up there that the average person doesn't know about. It's not about people fighting in space with railguns or lasers or whatever. It's about infrastructure that will tip the balance of a battle/war.
  2. Yeah. Their site is pretty ancient. Gives it some character though imo. Not just another typical HK airsoft website that all look the same as they seem to have used the same template/designer with floating menus etc.
  3. They're legit. My go to HK retailer in fact. Boom kind of runs...at it's own pace, in it's own way. How long ago did you order? Sometimes I'll find a gentle reminder e-mail is needed if I don't hear anything after a few days. But yeah, I wouldn't worry.
  4. Nope. Sub £135, the retailer will charge you the extra VAT. Over £135 and it's just like ordering from the US/Japan/outside of EU pre Brexit - you run the risk of customs catching it and getting VAT, duty and a clearance charge.
  5. A couple of pairs of needle nose pliers would sort that out.
  6. Probably referring to this. Ceremonial swearing in. It is pretty creepy to be fair. The hair stroking, sniffing etc.
  7. Do you need one, probably not. Is a GBB a lot of fun? Absolutely. Though as said, they are very handy in tight CQB situations.
  8. You won't find a more realistic GBBR AR15 than the GHK unless you go Vipertech/Inokatsu which are pretty niche and you probably won't find anyone selling them in the UK unless you find a second hand one. Plus they're based on the ancient WA system which GHK is an updated version of. The TM MWS is a great airsoft gun but it's not a very good imitation of a RS gun. It seems your options out of the box that requires no mods are the GHK MK16 URG-I/MK16/M4 keymod or a TM MTR16/MK16. At the end of the day, you'll be happy with the TM or the GHK. The TM is more performance orientated so would be more suitable for skirmishing. The GHK, more realistic, better RS parts compatibility. Plus, you can set it up to run CO2 for that extra specialness. Wildcard, there are the Rare Arms guns which are a bit pricey but very cool. Especially if it's just going to be used for training at home where picking up the shells won't be so much of a PITA. https://www.crw-airsoft.com/rare-arms-m4-145-r-system-co2-gbb--shell-ejecting-13750-p.asp
  9. Avoid. It's a KWA/KSC system which is absolutely meh for ARs. Get a TM MWS or a GHK AR variant.
  10. Not strictly airsoft but considering Zev stuff is getting licensed in airsoft, perhaps these are on the cards eventually? If so, RIP Magpul FMG inflated values. https://magpul.com/fdp-fdc
  11. I've never understood the snobby attitude that some in the RS world of both the US and UK have towards airsoft. At the end of the day, a significant % of people that get into airsoft (in the US at least) will migrate to RS when age and/or funds allow which will then bolster that community. And considering Biden and his team are vehemently anti gun, they're going to have an uphill battle and need all the support they can get.
  12. Something I found out in the last couple of days is that if you buy something that is sub £135 and already in the UK at the point of sale, but sold by an overseas seller, you have to pay the VAT at point of sale. Probably not a lot of situations where this applies but something to think about none the less.
  13. And the two round burst is very satisfying.
  14. No VAT added at the basket/retailer stage for a £135+ order. This allows them to avoid registering with HMRC and paying a subscription in order to repatriate the VAT. £135+ order is treated just like a pre Brexit order from HK/US/Japan/non EU country. You run the risk of customs getting their grubby hands on it and slapping you with VAT and a clearance charge from the courier. Basically a way for EU shops to not get involved in any extra costs for them is what I gather. I believe tariffs will come into play at some point too but things seem up in the air during the transitional stage.
  15. I was under the impression that for anything under £135, the retailers take the VAT and repays to HMRC so you shouldn't have to deal with any VAT or custom's handling fees unless you import something over £135.
  16. Yeah. Yesterday, I had an order from Germany via GLS refused by PF and returned to sender
  17. How do you order direct with Holy Warrior? Have they got a web shop?
  18. You can use that type of bottle. It should have the same threads. Though I'd imagine a bottle significantly advertised as a propane/butane mix with 30-40% butane would be detrimental in some way compared to regular propane which has a very small percentage of butane mixed in e.g. lower FPS, lower ROF, less effective in cold weather etc. I don't know if that complicates matters for refilling these with straight propane though.
  19. The likes of Coleman propane is dirt cheap in the US, sub $4 for the 453g compared to our usual price of £15 or so hence "propane is so much cheaper than green gas". If you're smart about your purchases of green/buy in bulk, there's not much of a discount to be had buying cans of Rothenberger compared to green. Now if you want to get into decanting the big bottles of propane to refill the small Coleman cans, that's when things get considerably cheaper. I don't think there's any legal issue with doing it. You just need the space and know how/technique. And the coupling adapter of course https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Safety-Propane-Refill-Adapter-Lp-Gas-Cylinder-Tank-1lb-Coleman-Heater-Coleman/312938006125?hash=item48dc8f066d:g:hpkAAOSwAO5d0mDL
  20. Looks like a KWC Sig P226 X-Five that's lived a very hard life.
  21. Ah yeah. I didn't read your post properly. I think you would have to have something with a remote line like the Sun Project M4s or Escort MP5 but no bolt stop.
