Perhaps send him a video showing a full mag then firing it 20/30 times and then show the full mag? If he still thinks there is nothing wrong, never buy from that shop again as they clearly employ morons. You have no other hi cappas to swap the slide with/know anyone local you could swap the slide with and see if the problem follows the slide then break it down to hop unit/nozzle?

This sounds like the likely situation. If it's cycling enough for the hammer to reset but not chamber, the nozzle can't be in a position to strip a BB each time. Perhaps when it's hand cycled, the slide is in the rear position long enough for the nozzle to snap back and chamber a BB compared to when the slide is back very briefly during cycling. If you slowly hand cycle it, does the nozzle hang on the hop unit? If you remove the slide and barrel and pull the nozzle does it immediately snap back? Might be an issue with the nozzle return spring. Or just a bad tolerance gripping the hop unit.

I'd be intrigued as to your plans too. I've laid an M1100 on an AA12 trying to work out how to it. I figured you'd need to use the M1100's tube mag and the AA12 mag would just be for show but there is so much stuff that just doesn't line up.

I think you're splitting hairs there to be honest. Indexing, re-indexing, initial insertion, whatever. Having that little tab to pull on helps massively when inserting mags when compared to the traditional BFG 10 speed. Once the pouches are a bit worn in, re-indexing is absolutely viable with these pouches. Yeah, I'm with you there. There are a few brands that have improved the BFG elastic pouch idea. Eh, just saying that without an M4 or 933 prefix, Commando envisages a retro AR15 for most people. Anyway, back to your thread. I'm intrigued as to why you want the "best, externally, quality" but you're not bothered about Colt markings. If you really want the best, you'll have to go GBBR with either Viper Tech or Prime.

When you say "Colt Commando look-a-like", are you just talking a short/CQB barrel AR with plastic hand guards? As a Colt Commando implies one of the retro AR15 variants with a fixed carry handle, no shell deflector, skinny grips etc but you've posted what appears to be an M4.
