  1. Perhaps it's the solder that is the problem? Picked up a spool of cardas eutectic solder a while back and find it fantastic stuff.
  2. That's why I'm a bit disappointed their forthcoming LAR/FAL is a GBBR. If it was an aeg, at least upgrades/replacements would be viable from the get go. The company seems to make quite a few of their ranges in both GBBR and AEG forms. Might be pleasantly surprised by this years offering, who knows?
  3. Think the Red Alliance forum is gone now. There is still that streak of animosity in some Russian gear orientated groups. Looking down on people because they got some gear from Grey shop etc.
  4. That would stand a good chance of being the culprit. They recommend a 20.1mm air nozzle.
  5. Did you check to make sure there are no burrs on the arm? Found it very picky with rubbers. Have had good success with Prometheus purples with the Retro arms unit. Also did you change out the nozzle in your gearbox? It requires a longer nozzle than say a Lonex nozzle.
  6. Think they are being distributed under the Umarex brand. There's a pre-order at LWA. https://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/airsoft-rifles-pistols-c38/gas-rifles-c48/umarex-heckler-koch-mp5-a5-gen2-gbb-rifle-pre-order-p11874
  7. Looks like the LCT SVD should be out at some stage this year. Will give them credit for making a few variations. For all their faults they are good for providing a line of models rather than one and done.
  8. Three or four cell Chicom perhaps? Cheap & cheerful.
  9. Lovely piece of kit. Custom job?
  10. Yeah would certainly look into fixing it up if I were in your shoes. ICS hop up units are available readily from Fire support. The other thing is a few years ago ICS started doing the receiver in steel so if it is an older model the value might be less. The ICS Galil falls into the rarely seen on a site but readily available category. The lack of easily obtained midcaps is also a killer. Seen someone else where suggesting you can modify the magwell to fit KA mags but don't know how true that is.
  11. Absolutely spot on. Someone might loose a mag due to dodgy stitching on a pouch or a rifle might drop due to a Chinesium buckle. Somebody getting eye damage is a different story.
  12. There's a lot of truth to that. Have a CNC hop up unit, which works very nicely. To get it there required PTFE tape, shim and blue loctite. Meanwhile a stock plastic unit just worked out of the box.
  13. Don't bother at the moment. In the past have used attached scrim netting. Although if you go that route, beware of potential for snagging.
  14. Yeah would second the V-Tac it's an excellent bit of kit. https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/blue-force-gear-vickers-standard-ak-sling-k-sp-0046-18909-p.asp Alternatively a surplus sling off eBay will do the job okay. If you're used to fast adjustment etc., then it can be a difficult transition to a more plain jane model.
  15. Quite a generic point but will make it anyway. If you're used to shorter guns be careful and conscious of the added length of the sig in the first few games. Can be very annoying to smack your new AEG against a tree/doorway/etc. on the first day you are running it.
  16. Just to add that Octagon airsoft have the Classic army long barreled SA58 coming up on pre-order. Seems to be a viable option if anyone is particularly impatient at the lack of progress on the VFC/KA front. https://www.octagonairsoft.com/product-page/classic-army-cacc012m-sa58-carbine-long-barrel-1 Also they have SA58 midcaps in stock, which in of itself, is a rare thing. https://www.octagonairsoft.com/product-page/120rds-magazine-for-sa58
  17. Anytime I see Johnny Depp flogging anything, all I can think is that Ms. Heard has better lawyers.
  18. Looks like foliage green. Bit of a project but its a bargain at that price.
  19. My thoughts exactly. They have been teasing their AKM GBBR for a long time. A NGRS MP5 line has a lot of possible models.
  20. That video makes me sad that I don't have a folding stock FN FAL aeg.
  21. The Jericho is a good call. There is a nice selection of CZs available at the moment but a 941 would be very cool. Good few variants too.
  22. The last few times I cleaned a barrel, used cut up microfibre cloths and Isopropyl. Then followed it up with a few dry passes. That was stopping short of the rubber and hop up chamber. Used to use j cloths and silicone oil. One of the claims was that the oil acted as a dust magnet of sorts.
  23. You have Cyma at one end and Real Sword at the other. The King Arms seems to be overlooked. LCT are supposedly releasing a SVD at some stage, might be worth waiting for?
