  1. Could the egg shape be the result of the force used to break the BB?
  2. Have had a similar problem with a wooden grip. AEG sounded great until the pistol grip went on. Ended up using a rough grit sand paper to take material off the sides of the inside of the grip. Another option might be a small O-ring between the screw and the pistol grip to replicate the way it came from the factory. Just to echo the above poster, shimming the motor cage might be a good idea. In the past have glued a pair of 1mm shims to the top of the motor cage (either side of where the pinion came out). Eliminated the slack completely.
  3. Based on experience with the quality of some of the microswitches in airsoft. If you're opening up the gearbox ( admittedly not too bad on 249) it's one candidate to replace. Particularly if plan on running higher capacity batteries.
  4. Might be worth trying to replace the microswitch? They are fairly cheap.
  5. Yeah wish they would still crank out their offerings. Have a Chimera in one of my Aks. Going to try some of Jefftron's kit in the future. Planning on installing one of their basic SHS based models in my Galil. Will be curious as to how their V3 Leviathan shapes up.
  6. It was with a RPK, so quite finicky with the long barrel. That was also the precision line rather than the super precision one. Might give them another try. Thanks.
  7. Makes sense. Any particular brands you prefer? Have tried G&G and Devil blaster fairly successfully. Had some feeding issues with Geoffs.
  8. Reasonable point. I'm fairly new to using heavier BBs, so still figuring them out.
  9. They seems fairly decent from what I have seen of people testing them on YouTube. Find it curious they don't seem to have a 0.30g offering at the moment.
  10. Might be players making up for lost time or getting through their ammo stockpile.
  11. Now that really takes me back. Was very much a learning experience that a flashy website is not indicative of quality.
  12. Herosharks kit is great, have a pair of his viper goggles that I use for range shooting. Ordered a gate warfet. Sick of getting E07 codes on the Titan. My gearbox grease application style doesn't agree with them.

Was the eight of May, so roughly two months.

I got mine today, so there's that. Of course it doesn't fit, so into the parts pile. On the plus side, didn't get hit by customs.

The fees are a bit annoying indeed. Although at one point during the Covid outbreak, they seemed to be only doing surface shipping. So I am still waiting for a package that was sent in May.
  16. Thanks for the info, yeah the microswitches can be a hassle.
  17. Out of curiosity, which Mosfet did you go for? Interested in what works well with support guns.
  18. Some 0.30g BBs. Spent a bit of time fiddling with hop ups and have all my Aegs shooting 0.28 nicely. Now going to try heavier BBs.
  19. Look quite decent. At the moment find Devil blaster or G&G to be the best performing in my Aegs. Would be handy to have another option.
  20. Small box of G&G 0.28g BBs. Going to compare them to some Geoffs I have. The standard precision 0.28 feed nicely in my AEGs with the exception of the RPK. Will eventually get round to trying the super precision ones.
  21. Their custom length service is very handy. Ideal for some of the awkward models.
  22. See that the new Jefftron Leviaton for V3 gearboxes is optical based, so went with a BTC Chimera for one of my builds. Non bluetooth version but it will do.
  23. The Nuprol M79, is it just a re-branded King Arms launcher?
  24. Have had good experiences with this retailer. For some reason I usually end up forgetting about them when I'm looking for a particular item, often being reminded of their existence via a web search. Any orders I have placed have had positive outcomes. One time they emailed me that a particular item, in an order, was out of stock. They suggested some substitutes and didn't try upselling or the likes. Good folks to deal with.
