  1. generally isn't a problem, as mentioned the purpose is to improve seal around the rubber. unless your hop unit is particularly tight it won't be a problem, although the only hop unit i've met that did that was the madbull rotary unit and that was so damn tight it didn't matter what rubber you were using (giggedy)
  2. sounds about right. it's fine, just sit back and enjoy the salt build up as their rounds drop short.
  3. Yeah, it'll look like a target rifle, which tbf is a very appropriate look for the platform. Extra points if you go full elmer fudd when fielding it
  4. Is it bad that i'm surprised? That does look pretty sweet, a good choice
  5. Worth checking the ratings. Even a good brand like bolle can crack if the particular model isnt rated for airsoft energies. Iirc the raiders are stanag 2920 which from memory is well in excess of "you have got to be joking" joule levels.
  6. a fair point, some of the repro lpvo's are surprisingly good in terms of clarity, although can't speak to their efficacy on a gbbr. fair enough, was mostly a heads up because changing inner barrel length on a gbbr can catch folk unawares (mostly with pistols admittedly) tis a very personal thing, as mentioned my experience was i rarely needed stability that couldn't be achieved by monopoding on the mag.
  7. are you extending the inner barrel? because on a gbbr that's gonna have quite the effect on your energy output (it'll raise it going longer) which might not be helpful depending on your site limits. bipod is a tricky one, i've occasionally taken the notion in the past but every time i've put one on the gun it's always been removed halfway through the game because a lighter front end is useful in more situations than a bipod, at least for airsoft ranges. although that's the purely practical viewpoint, if you just want it to look good then sure why not. when it comes to the scope how about a lpvo? bit more of a modern look, although if you're like me it'll get set and left at 4x with a red dot stacked on top that gets used 99% of the time
  8. looks like it's for battery storage as with the RS grips, although afaik those normally have a more robust hinge or suchlike. as above not necessary, tbh i'm surprised they even bothered installing it.
  9. you're talking to a hamster, of course i hate badgers. lording it over us with their natural camo and extravagant burrows, you know how much a badger burrow costs? more than i make in a decade! i can kinda see the logic, although in this case the op's natural leaning seems to be towards the cyma anyway. i mean to me a generic ar variant is a generic ar variant, but then i don't tend to worry too much about the state of internals....
  10. a fair point, i mean we got half a dozen pages before losing the plot at least
  11. yeah, although nowhere near as egregious in my book if they still get steered towards something decent.
  12. indeed, although in fairness an RIF is a not insignificant chunk of one's hard earned and especially when starting out, so it makes sense to reccommend the safest option in terms of reputation. after all, if someone asks for help and gets a bad steer it looks bad on us and potentially puts someone off the hobby.
  13. I'm no stranger to thread derailments but this one has taken a very weird turn and i'm not sure we're in kansas any more....
  14. yeah i've seen co2 at "1200", although that was on one of those relatively cheap shell filler setups so probably not the most accurate gauge, and on a very warm day. still no-joke levels of pressure to be trusting to something made by an unknown brand.
  15. i just use one of the amazon mats and a bunch of glass dishes for small parts, only downside is you need to eat a bunch of GU cheesecakes to get the dishes.
  16. thought it was more like 900-1000? although i can't remember where i got that number from. that's excluding the slp stuff admittedly. either way 650psi is still a lot of boom if it fails the wrong way.
  17. totally agree, good to see something to fill the void between the cyma's and real swords when it comes to SVD's.
  18. Only 350 to crack it? Fucking hell. Kudos to the fella for actually testing it, i'm sure he's glad now he's seeing the crack from outside the lense.
  19. I wouldnt bother, you're spending that much on the whole setup anyway. Remember this thing is getting fed 1000psi, thats a not-trivial amount of energy this thing has to hold together do you really trust it?
  20. i think that's being a little too generous to ups it's more like the newspaper boy dumping the papers on a sunny day to go play with his mates.
  21. I dunno, back emf is why i'm not allowed in the electrical labs any more.....
