  1. Are you sure it's the valve? I found the base seal of the mag really doesnt like handling anything stronger than nuprol 2.0
  2. this is a fair point. i do occasionally get pm's asking about long expired ads, and i can certainly see how for those with a more expansive classifieds history that could start getting annoying. probably a balance to be struck, yeet ads after a year's inactivity or such.
  3. Think the main motivation is to keep ads up as a sort of reference library for sales prices
  4. Do this. Heavier ammo will require the hop to be turned up a bit, but if you can't turn the hop up enough to get it shooting flat before it starts having issues (eg misfeeding or failing to fire) then move on to the second paragraph. Barrel cleaning is something you should get into the habit of doing, at least before every game day.
  5. Its always possible that something has changed, but i never had issues with the stock e&l hop with the good ol' macaron omega combo. Although tbf my base ammo weight was .32's at 1j so usually my priority was getting more lift.
  6. Tbh, i found the e&l standard units to be pretty decent, i wouldnt say changing it out is strictly necessary
  7. pic #3 looks to be off-centered although that shouldn't be the cause of an fps variation, it's more a curving you're only going to notice on shooting.
  8. Yeah i was talking more generally, not just ak's.
  9. yeah that's the right sort of thing. i did try an xt one a while back and found it to be a tad unsquare, so if you find curving to be an issue worth checking, sample size of one though so not concrete. in some pews the feed lip length can be problematic, but i wouldn't say a stock e&l is one of them.
  10. you using an omega nub with it? the macaron is a great bucking, but does need the nub to be shaped accordingly. if you're getting decent energy and consistency in the range of hop adjustment that you're using in-game, then i wouldn't worry too much. hop fully off you can sometimes get an energy drop, i suspect it's because there needs to be some resistance delaying the bb's start whilst the pressure builds up. likewise hop fully on you can get energy drops, and even a second sweet spot where the bb is sapped of so much energy, but also sufficiently over-spun to fly at that low energy, always better to start hop off and increment when setting to avoid this.
  11. it's the same as plugging in a usb you'd think you'd get it lined up right at least 50% of the time, and that it's literally impossible to try it both ways and it doesn't plug in. yet every goddamn time.......
  12. Fostering community spirit locally, nationally and internationally is certainly a noble objective. But i'm not sure how forcing teenagers to be shouted at for a year is supposed to acheive that. Sure you might introduce a few to the military career path that might not otherwise have chosen it, but most folk will be keeping their heads down and coasting through as best they can. And i refuse to see any value to the national defence resulting from this, no war that threatens our homeland will be stopped by any amount of cannon fodder. So as far as i can see the only thing this policy could result in is an increased youth turnout at the polls, which ironically might serve the original objective quite well.
  13. As above, the density means they have to be mixed with something. Iron dust would make sense being relatively dense, safe and cheap
  14. I've met a couple of folk who use that style, usually they speak of modding them to get them to work. But the odin and its clones are a better design
  15. extra points if it's coated in green slime that makes it slippier than ice at the merest hint of moisture
  16. Worn off anodisation? Assuming the box was bone dry with no grease to catch it
  17. pfft, real pro's put it back together with more screws than came out of it during dissassembly
  18. As tackle says the main reason i can think is simply stereotypes. Practically what matters for an med is that the bb has some time to drop in owchiness, so it should on paper be only the energy level that counts regardless of the pew type. But on the ground, i can see many an argument being levied of "oi sniper that's not 30m", so maybe easier to just to limit everything people think is going to be an med gun regardless of it's actual power level.
  19. The metal ring on maple leaf buckings is supposed to help grip around the nozzle and improve sealing, means you can run a softer bucking with less risk of air leaks. However in some cases it can be too tight, meaning the nozzle doesn't seat properly, you'll see it if there's a mm or so you can push the bolt closed beyond where it stops from normal cycling. You can remove the ring, which will help the nozzle close properly but may then introduce leaking around the end of the nozzle as the bucking is soft enough and has the space (without the ring) to expand into to let gas loose.
  20. Yep, sounds like ups all right, need a firearms declaration to import a sponge..... I have heard it said that evike uses the lack of practical accountability in overseas sales to get rid of stock that would get returned from a stateside buyer, although my limited personal experience has been ok.
  21. Indeed, unfortunately as a sport so existentially reliant on good faith behaviour airsoft is particularly vunerable to degradation of trust. I've probably not worded it correctly with respect to gdpr specifically, my meaning is just that i dont think there's a legal issue with them filming as a matter of routine, especially with the vague notions of it being for the safety and security of patrons.
  22. Afaik the gdpr thing doesnt apply to a public site, no different to cctv in the supermarket or the butcher, baker, candlestick maker, workplace and basically everywhere else apart from in your own home (all the camera equipped gadgets we keep around these days notwithstanding). I'd say it's the rarity these days to not have someone with a camera snapping pics/video either for site marketing or youtuber wannabe's. Ofc it is concerning they feel the need to record staff interactions, gives the impression they dont trust either the players or the staff to act reasonably which isn't a good look either way. Kinda like not being reassured when you see armed police because it raises the question of what do they expect to happen that requires that kind of firepower. But i suppose it's just another symptom of the death spiral of trust in society that we've just gotten used to.
