Lol, probably a sensible decision, that motor doesnt look like she'd handle it all that well, and last time(s) i tried it fried the motor

Tbh i'm thinking just leaving the auto cutoff to do its thing might be the best move, would save a wire coming from the gun.

  2. this is the correct response to overhopping..... although unless you're running the scar as a dmr you might want to consider tweaking it to be able to go down to ~.3's if needed, running the real heavy stuff in an assault gun might be effective but the "cher rhing" noise your inner accountant makes every time you pull the trigger gets annoying after a while.
  3. Fusion engine and associated goodies for the m4, which will almost certainly make it worse, at least for a while till i get it dialled in.
  4. Yeah, its not as sleek as some of the others, but then as you say the design is meant to be practical.
  5. Fair enough, be interested to see how it goes. I'm not a fan of red dots on pistols but maybe might consider treating the hicapa at some point.
  6. Yeah, i'd heard the tube was meant to be a bit quicker/easier, plus its a bit more weatherproof.
  7. funny i have some small springs and a gutted motor with it's magnets lying around here if you want to build a spare gun edit: for the sake of keeping some semblance of on-topicness ordered some maple magazine springs, hopefully should get my midcaps feeding good because i really dont wanna have to shell out for epm's just to use in 1 gun.....
  8. Damn, thought my m4 was bad, it has just the outer barrel still original
  9. "custom painted" which as a general rule translating to "it was 2 tone and i chucked some black hammerite on it"
  10. urgh, dont you just love when stuff doesnt work and the reason is "because electronics"......

imma need to send that back and get another mosfet now.....

  11. hmmm, do i just keep the jg as a basic mosfet or do i titan?

@Rogerborg the Titan and Warfet are very different beasts.

The Warfet relies on timing and power control where the Titan runs optical sensors. Mechanical reliability is about the same as I have seen both units fail regardless of age or usage.

Although the warfet precocking works ok the Titans will be better as it counts gear teeth which is more reliable. Also the titans trigger sensor is something the warfet can match as it is just a plug in unit.

The only thing I will say is if it fails the warfet is easier to replace so for none tech minded it is easier and cheaper. For competent people the titan is easy as takes less than an hour to fit to most gearboxes.

Other than that sorry got to disagree with Luke as would pick Titan everytime.

^ pretty much my feelings only i didnt bother with the detail.

Ofc the other downside to the titan is it doesnt fit some of the more niche boxes, im still hoping they'll figure out a v6 version.

  12. So we have a bit of a comparison game here; Option 1: Option 2: Cant say i'm sure the mags/engine difference quite match up to £145, unless there's something i'm missing. Also no prizes for guessing where option 2 dissappeared to....
  13. it's a tricky one, i dont think most folk would immediately remember or judge a "cheater" from an airsoft video but i could be wrong. i've seen vids with folk i know being "called out" although that's more of a "this guy didn't take a gun hit, all the sites i play at those count" when the site the video was shot at was clear gun hits don't count. i always have a very dim view of the "x" edits, unless the video is clear enough to show the bb striking (which is incredibly rare) or the person then proceeds to call the hit then it's not unreasonable to assume it was a near miss which is what i generally do. yes it's possible they're editing in hits they remember seeing through the scope but ask yourself this: can you remember every hit you've made on a given game day? because i sure can't. of course even if the bb strikes someone doesn't mean they felt it, plenty of places you can be hit and have no idea, i've been called out before by folk next to me for something like my dump pouch taking a hit which i didn't hear or feel (1j at extended range doesn't hit all that hard), just the nature of the beast and you do need to bear that in mind that no matter how honest the player that can, and will, happen.
  14. absolute cracker of a day, been a long while since i've enjoyed a day that much. good banter and honest play.

  15. Any reccommendations for some midcap springs/followers? Having some feeding issues  of late :(

  16. i'm not saying that skipping full face isn't a risk, i have a right shiner on my cheek at the moment testament to that, although i've been lucky enough to keep all my teeth thus far (although i've seen it happen to mates). it's just a case of regardless of what some is or isn't wearing on their face, shooting there intentionally when you have a choice is a dick move that shouldn't be encouraged, to do so "in the name of airsoft justice" doubly so.
  17. i dont think there's any denying that there's editing to make the shots look better, or that some shots aren't deliberately targeted and are just victims of the airsoft gods. however camera reticle aside, my point is it's plainly evident in some scenes that he's capable of making more precise shots on a given location (when he's aiming at folk in cover who are maybe only poking a hand or a hat out) followed by getting an "easy" body shot but instead going for the head, especially when he beleives there's some anti-cheater clickbait to be had, at least if he's editing them to give that impression then that's the intended effect he's going for. i'm sure he's a different person in the flesh, he was a different person in his earlier videos but it seems his youtube persona has evolved to a point that makes him worthy of distain, his videos might be targeted to get lots of views, but it highlights behaviour that advertises our hobby in a very bad light and it's not the sort of thing we need, we have enough problems keeping hold of our pew's against the "ermagerd gunz r bad" crowd as-is.
  18. Mostly yes, although i'm sure that's because he's so deep behind enemy lines using his fantastic ghillie skills he cant risk speaking too loudly or lose his position.
  19. Yeah he did, was the same day he popped someone in the face with his mk23 hard enough to make them think he'd cracked their glasses. Then finished off by blaming it on people not being prepared for the milsim environment.
  20. Todays casualty list- 1 eotech smashed, 1 m4 mag lost, 1 gearbox broken.

Do we have a  "WHAT HAVE YOU BROKEN/LOST THREAD"? if not we should... I feel I would be able to keep it going every time I play !!

Feels like a thing we had for a while, dunno if thats just memory playing tricks though.

Suppose i've been lucky, been a good few months since i had a proper casualty.
