It doesnt take much. Was warring with an lct pbs4 before lockdown that insisted on sending odd fliers, i really need to learn to stop buying lct stuff.....
-
Generally air seal manifests as vertical dispersion, side to side is something else, by the way your saying it i wanna say you're getting rounds clipping the suppressor giving you those wild fliers.
-
I'm not encouraging, merely stating the inevitable Yep, this is why i have a gun that is very specifically designated as the one that shall not be fucked with, in the hope that come game day i have at least one functional pew
-
I'm suspecting air seal, but as a general rule its worth having at least one spring around you can be pretty sure of. Issue is the ratings of different springs can vary with different manufacturers. I've found asg's m95's tend to be pretty reliably 1j in most boxes but i've had m90's shoot higher and m110's shoot lower. What was the fps variance like before the change? Thats the best you can really do as a test of air seal quality.

I give it a day. If your anything like me that is, i dont think i've ever fired the same gun twice
-
you'll be waiting a while, there's a reason why the cyma ak is a common site rental gun......
-
Must admit, i'm not a fan of the habit of stuff getting straight up yeeted these days. Unless its seriously egregious can it at least just be locked so what information is on there isnt lost to time? Tbh ive never partaken in fb groups for hobbies like these, the forum environment is just superior, only time i go on there is to check when a site opens.
-
Huh, well there you go. Granted most of the ones i've worked on have had a few rounds through them.
-
Stock motor? Not had that. Granted you get a fair bit of free precocking but not enough to fire a second round.
-
really depends on what you want/how you play. something like a nanoasr will give basic contact protection easy enough. i'd stay away from using anything with active braking that doesn't also have precocking (which the warfet does), active brake on it's own has a nasty habit of causing lockups on ak boxes. precocking will give snappier trigger response in semi auto, the gun will run fine without it but if you do a lot of semi auto shooting it can be nice to have. reason i'd say the nanoasr is it's the same wiring on the gun as the warfet, so if you ever want to get something fancier it's plug and play (no point re-wiring the gun twice)
-
Cyma upgrades? Bunch of cyma 140 round mid caps, Bag of geoffs and a cleaning rod If you really wanna push the boat out: E&c brass nozzle, new piston o ring, maple leaf macaron+omega nub, bit of air seal work and a warfet. Put it together right and on 11.1v you'll have an evil wee gat.
-
did you leave the gun/mags outside for a while before testing? cos they need a while to cool down before the cold really takes effect.

Selling Airsoft Pistol - Based in London
Adolf Hamster replied to JasperHiggins's topic in General Discussion
it'll be a WE sig 228 best thing to do would be to fire an ad up on the classifieds here, should be able to find a buyer at that price. -
Not me, i wanna say rogerborg? Fair enough, in that case duck's advice is spot on- that rate of fire is way too fast. Your risking serious reliability problems while still not keeping up with the hpa hoses.
-
Yeah, i'm thinking somewhere even crazier, i'm not massively clued up on different fps rules for different countries but i know some places it's a case of whatever you can get the gun to do without breaking.
-
Man i need to brush up on my motor knowledge, i didnt twig that was a high speed. Feels like english isnt this guys first language i wonder if he's somewhere with mad fps limits where 45rps is feasable without pme?
-
semi is going to be putting a lot more load on the motor per-round than auto. the locking up could be a bunch of things, but as you found pulling the trigger for more than a second on a stalled motor is a very bad idea- good thing you still had the fuse installed. i have a sneaking suspicion that the shimming might be tight, remember when shimming to test everything spins freely with the gearbox bolted down- that tiny bit of compression compared to holding the shells together by hand can add a lot of unnessecary load.
-
all boils down to the quality of the print. if it's the low density pla that so much of this stuff seems to be then no i wouldn't trust it an inch if it's decent high density nylon then it could be surprisingly tough.

Red Dot/Reflex Sights on Pistols....
Adolf Hamster replied to kasaran's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
oh absolutely for rifles even the cheap red dots without any real parallax correction have a lot of utility. it's especially useful that you can keep both eyes open and on target and just move the gun in front of your eyes without any shift in focus required. of course as you say decent parallax on a dot just makes the whole process easier and faster. the argument for pistols isn't that the dot can't be used to make quick shots once you see it, it's that getting the pistol lined up to find the dot in the first place loses a lot of the time that you'd be saving on a rifle. -
hmm, maybe a point there. a mate of mine has one i'll maybe steal it when we get let back out see if i like the system. funny i'm not keen on the altyn's for the same reason you're saying- they seem kinda uncomfortable for airsoft. i normally just go baseball cap, or ushanka when it's cold enough, not really a big helmet wearer. yeah, i'm kind of open-planning this so whilst money is a consideration it's a case of if dual tubes are a big improvement then i'll put the time in to save up, or maybe get single and see how i like it. nv seems to be pretty rare at the sites i play at, so it's mostly a case of any usable passive system is gonna be a big step up in night-time sneakyness.
-
Yeah i'm thinking off the shelf is gonna be the safest option. Gonna have to do some research on mounts and decide if i wanna go for one or two tubes. Plan is its gonna be used with a 1p67 which supposedly is quite usable with nv.
-
hmm, i do have access to a vacuum chamber in work although nitrogen might be trickier. helmet is defo a double whammy decision as whilst i tend not to wear one, not smashing your head into tree branches at night is a definite plus.
-
Tbh i'm not sure on secondhand, isnt tube aging an issue? My aim is practicality so modern would be the preference, if i want to go old school i can just stick the atn on the dragonuv and accept being blinded by passing clouds. Whilst i'm ok at what passes in aeg's for wiring i'm not sure i'd be up to snuff doing things like swapping tubes etc. The pn21k does look the part, bit more in the ballpark of not being more expensive than my car. I'm thinking a decent 6b47 repro is going to be preferable to the fabric head mounts, are the mounting arms/brackets universal?
-
Kinda fitting this gets posted in the middle of the night. Needless to say this is what happens when you're bored on a lockdown new years night watching random airsoft videos. Basically i'm thinking maybe i should set myself a goal for 2021 of getting myself some proper night vision. I've had for a while an atn gen1+ scope which whilst it technically works, leaves you scanning the night through a drinking straw while from the outside the red glow from the illuminator has been fittingly described as a cylon eye. Also makes you appreciate how much you rely on being able to see where your shots are going. Its ok for sitting in an ambush position with a gun you can reasonably trust to hold zero (yes yes a laughable statement in airsoft terms) but worse than useless for any kind of terrain navigation as it kills your natural night vision meaning you gotta use a torch. Only problem is i'm not sure where i should be looking or what i should be looking for. I've heard it oft-mentioned that gen2 is considered the minimum standard for passive use. So with no particular goal in mind what should i be thinking about? Is it worth saving up a big chunk and splashing on gen 3? Would a pair of cheaper units be better than a higher end single? Given i'm a fan of russian stuff is there anything passable available from them? (Most of my knowledge on russian nv is the various rifle scopes rather than headmount)
